Lengthwise sawing boards

I'm willing to bite the bullet and re - rip my CD collection.  Previously, I ripped using Windows Media Player and ripped to WMA Lossless.  That obviously did not work with the Clip +, so I have been re-extraction of individual CD I wanted / needed.

After reading these forums, I decided to re - rip with Media Monkey and rip in FLAC on my hard drive, then have the MM convert to WMA for use on the Clip (I want to be able to load a lot of different music on the Clip + while I for some mood happens to be in the music).

So, that being said, I have the following questions...

1. when the ripping to FLAC, MM give me the ability to set the "Compression level".  By default, this value is "6".  Is it a good setting or a lower setting preferable.  I'm not worried about the amount of disk space that will be used since I can get a good 2 TB drive for<>

2. WMA is a good format for use on the Clip + with respect to the size and the sound quality?

3. for the conversion of FLAC to WMA, I have the following and do not know what are the best settings:

Type of sample rate, bit rate, sample rate and of channels.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

EricBr

You should be able to just WMAL convert Flac, and do not have to re - rip. Then what about the conversion, there are instructions here in the forum if you are looking for how to replace the BLADE limited mp3 encoder in time in Mediamonkey with a perpetual... do it, then convert your flacs with mediamonkey to implementation VBR(variable bitrate) of ~ 192 Kbps. You can use the predefined setting that says "Standard: VBR ~ 192 Kbps - high quality +", this is a good compromise between his ultimate and save space. MediaMonkey can also ReplayGain for you, which does not work with WMA.

  • Logic board failure Mac Pro 3 months old

    I have a 3 months old Mac Book Pro 15 inch 516 g upper computer in line with Apple Care that is supposed to last me years and years to come.  In the night when you're done, I usually store it with 5% battery left.  Come out a few days later, and instead to get the Apple Logo 'Need to plug into the screen', I get this:

    Then I connect my Mac and everything goes back to normal.  When I saw this, I tried POOP my pants and threw up my dinner upward.

    So obviously, I went back to simply Mac where I bought, showed them the video and they said probably will not Board their diagnoses are down to return until next week so forth and so.

    I am extremely worried to have my new Mac being opened upwards and have parts replaced on an old computer on 96 day.  I called the Apple Support, they are not a substitute for a brand new computer.  I called a store that is two hours, they refused a request for replacement.

    If at this point, I guess I'm looking at 3 options and I need the best advice.

    1. consider at my local Mac simply who I am very suspicious about.  I was in the back of their store, and it is not the cleanest.  In addition, they do not have great turn around time.  Someone has simply Mac works on a MacBook Pro before?

    2 ride 2 hours, at the Apple store, make them fix I hope same day otherwise they reship (hopefully) or have pity on me and give me a new mac (what are the odds?)

    3. send it by mail?  Proving that he has problems in this way would be difficult because it takes leave the battery to 1% until it had its issues.  I have pictures and video even though evidence.  Also very wary about this option, we have expelled all new iPhone my husband 6plus and Fedex broke the entire screen and Apple refused to fix what was wrong with the microphone and then cover the repair of the screen.  After 3 hours of quite striking, they he replaced however.

    It is the policy - you have only 14 days for return or Exchange, otherwise warranty repairs.

    Take in a test of "Apple Service Diagnostics" and ask specifically for the VST (video systems Test)

  • MacBook Pro 13,3 "retina Logic Board failure?

    I bought my MacBook Pro 13,3 "Retina display nine in early 2014 before going to College.  This is the most expensive item that I have ever owned I always made sure to take the greatest care in the use and handling.  About a week ago, I went to turn it on and a prohibitive symbol appeared on the screen (a white circle with a slash) and after that, it was completely cut off.  I took it to a (MicroCenter) renamed repair store and they said it was a failure of the logic board and would cost nearly $700 to fix.  Everyone knows this Council logical fault problem?

    I am extremely disappointed by Apple because I thought of them as the cream of the cream with advanced technology "State-of-the-art".  I expect this device to last until the end of my academic career to a minimum and the fact that it's broken in less than two years is absolutely unacceptable. I did some googling and I saw a trial about the logic board failures in 15 '' MacBook Apple of 2011-13 and had published a complementary repair program.  I hope they do the same with my case.

    Again, someone else has their logic board fail randomly?

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to Apple Support communities

    Sorry to hear that. I suggest you take a look at the forums of MacBook Pro to find cases similar to yours and check if there is a systemic problem or if you just had bad luck. Obviously it will not be a legal action if this problem is reduced to a few users, but there's a chance if this is stated as a failure of the design.

    About your problem, it looks more like a problem of flash storage rather than a failure of the logic board, but retina MacBooks Pro have most of their parts soldered to the logic board, so, any repair is quite expensive. Finally, if you live in a European country, remember that your Mac has got a 2-year statutory warranty, then you may qualify for a free repair.

  • Clocks on board and derivatives of FPGA

    Hello

    I use a PCIe FPGA 7852R card to collect data at 200 kHz of channel 5. I was pretty confident that my collection frequency was correct, because my program was based on a derived clock of 40 MHz I had chosen to use a derived clock because the on-board clock is running at 40,02 MHz (instead of the 40 MHz specified for some unknown reason I ignored).

    However, today one of the members of the LabVIEW support team told me that the FPGA clock rate may change during the compilation and optimization (constraints). He stressed that if the FPGA can run that fast, then it displays an error (as you might expect). He said also that in some cases, the on-board clock can run faster, but in this case no error will be displayed. I saw no errors in the past (which means that the system had no problem with that fast running), however, I'm not sure if during one of my compilations my derived clock could have run faster than 40 MHz. If it can happen? This will affect the time of all of my previously acquired data. Unfortunately, I have not saved any of my journal compilation of .

    Thank you very much in advance.

    Kind regards

    Varun

    Hi VarunSreenivasan,

    I think that our support has meant that compile logs will show you some pieces of logic could operate at higher speeds. During the process of compilation, the compiler will determine the clock frequency more rapid that can be used for your logic and to ensure that the configured clock frequency is less than or equal to this value. If you have decided to try to run your code to 200 MHz and logic cannot run this fast, then you get an error. If you have decided to run your logic to 200 kHz and it is possible to run faster compilation logs will show you then the max frequency that will work, but the logic still run to 200 kHz. The code should run no faster than the frequency you specified.

  • How I reread boards that have been read HP Support Assistant? How to make a record of diagnosis?

    I have a 610-1280qd Touchsmart. I got a tip to HP Support Assistant to create a disc of diagnosis. I saw the tip, it closed and planned read it later, but now it shows as a task accomplished. How I reread the tip and in particular, how do I do a Diagnostics disk. ?

    Hmm... not sure how to read the boards, but if you go to the StartMenu and look for disc HP Vision diagnostic authoring, you can burn the diagnosis there.

    Just type 'Vision' in the search bar in the start menu and it'll be top of the list

  • File in LR 6.0 Board mixup

    Hello

    My LR6.0 folder Panel has somehow been mixed.

    I have a disk folder on my drive c called "Billeder" where all my photos. However, in file LR Board there is sometimes a "Billeder" and a folder "billeder" which are in part containing the same photos and contain partially different photos. I do not have a folder "billeder" anywhere.

    If I try to shoot a "Billeder" folder to "billeder" in LR it tells me that the destination folder already exists.

    How can I get the 2 folders merged without losing my roots, keywords, notes etc. ?

    Your help will be appreciated.

  • To refer to an object on board in an onclick = "" in a file loaded into an iFrame in the animation .html "

    HI, I'm trying to understand the edge predetermined by stumble my way through the attempts of coding reference. I hit a wall...

    How can I refer to an object and a global function in my animation Board an onclick = "" located in a .html file loaded into an iFrame created in animation master/parent edge. " Here's what I have...

    My main index.html is an animation on board. A single object < div > is a box created within the Edge. I've added an iFrame with the benefit code:

    SYM. $("MenuPanelScreen") .html ("< iframe src ="list_images_cemetery.html "width ="267"height =" 670 "sandbox =" allow-same-origin allow scripts allow-top-navigation"> < / iframe > ');

    This .html file that loads into the iframe in the animation contains thumbnails in < a > tags and contain onclick = "" instructions that must call a function in the file Edge. "

    Finally, I want to as statements read something like... ( onclick = "changePic ('Dragon.jpg ', 'le Dragon)", "Holy and worm") "

    However, I had no idea how reference to the changePic() function in the entertainment on board. So, just to understand how to make reference to the animation of parent of a html element in an iFrame, I change the onclick = "" statements to... "

    < a onclick = "alert ("trying to hide the nameplate"); SYM.$('NamePlate_sym').hide (); " > < img src =" gallery/TheyGaveUpTheirDead.jpg' width = '80' alt = "Angel and worm" / > < / a > "

    First of all, I wanted to see if I could hide a symbol of edge or a div element / child html code. I tried the following...

    OnClick = "alert ('try to hide the plate'); SYM. $('NamePlate_sym',_window.parent.document).hide (); »

    I tried a few other variations that I won't bore you with. Can someone help me with the proper reference to achieve an element of edge?

    Moreover, I ultimately want the onclick = "" declaration to reference a global function on attached to the step edge in the event compositionReady of the scene. " The function is...

    window.changePic = function (myFileCurr, myLabelCurr, myDescriptionCurr) {}

    Alert ("in changePick");

    document.getElementById("myImage").src = "Gallery /" + myFileCurr;

    document.getElementById("myImageLabel").innerHTML = myLabelCurr;

    document.getElementById("myImageDescr").innerHTML = myDescriptionCurr;

    }

    I hope someone can point me in the right direction. Please forgive my ignorance. I'm just to come back in coding and learn the intricacies of Jscript and jQuery. Thank you!

    Well, after nearly sawing my head with a Pocket comb, I tried this...

    COMP. $("Rectangle").html ("test");

    and

    window.parent. changePic(); to call the global function

    At the same time, it worked.

    Thanks, Elaine. Your example helped!

  • Original from the fake - everything is done on board

    Hello

    I asked at an earlier session, but unfortunately he had no answer.

    It is my next try.

    But before... I have some work.

    I saw an interesting site of 'Range Rover' and wondered if this is possible on board.

    My experience is more After Effects, but I felt comfortable with the tool edge verry.

    I worked on a "Fake_Site", I tried to rebuild everything in Adobe_Edge as a practical test.

    and see what I've done:

    Source language:

    https://victoriabeckham.landrover.com/de

    My fake:

    http://go-motion.NET/range/

    It's a huge timeline - only with stops-labels between the two.

    But as you can see, there is the missing scroll function.

    It is perhaps much more complicated than I can imagine.

    To me, it seems that there is a script that connects the scrolling

    to the timeline.

    But I'm not a coder.

    Question:

    Who knows the script that connects the scroll to the timeline?

    If all goes well there is little outside help and if it's only the answer:

    "Forget it, no luck. «

    Thanks in advance and greetings from the Germany

    Oliver

    Hi Oliver,.

    I reworked a little example. Instead of listening to the built in case of Stage.scroll, I implemented a very cool jQuery plugin: http://brandonaaron.net/code/mousewheel/demos. You can keep the Stage.Overflow property as 'hidden', that this plugin listens to the raw, not a real event of scrolling mousewheel event.

    Example:

    http://www.timjaramillo.com/code/edge/mousewheel_timeline/scroll.html

    Source:

    www.timjaramillo.com/code/Edge/_source/mousewheel_timeline.zip

    Code Stage.compositionReady:

    () yepnope

    {

    Nope:]

    ' jquery.mousewheel.min.js'// path to the .js file to load

    ],

    full: init

    }

    );

    var timelinePos = 0; / / track current mounting position

    var multiplier = 100; / / that multiply by the speed of the mouse to get the value of usable scroll

    var timelineLength = sym.getDuration (); / / total length chronology

    When yepnope has loaded everything run init();

    function init () {}

    $("html,_body").mousewheel (function (event, delta) {}

    scroll up to the negative position of timeline

    If (timelinePos > = 0) {}

    timelinePos += (delta * multiplier);

    SYM. Stop (timelinePos);

    Console.log ("timelinePos =" + timelinePos);

    reset values within the range

    If (timelinePos< 0="">

    timelinePos = 0;

    } ElseIf (timelinePos > timelineLength) {}

    timelinePos = timelineLength;

    }

    }

    Event.preventDefault ();

    });

    }

  • iWatch portfolio syncs with the iPhone of boarding.

    iWatch OS3.0 and iPhone 6 more iOS 10.0.2, I deleted boarding used in my iPhone wallet cards and added new boarding, but iWatch portfolio do not sync with my iPhone portfolio. How can I fix this without resetting the watch together?

    Hello

    The following steps may help:

    • Check that Bluetooth and Wi - Fi are activated on your iPhone.
    • Close the portfolio on your iPhone application, and then restart your iPhone and your watch:
    • Leave a little time for the data to be synchronized.
  • Will the 2 series watch track swim properly if using a kick Board (without using arms to swim)?

    I have a friend that is considering a 2 Apple Watch series.  It will systematically use a Board during training for her swim meets.  The new Apple Watch will follow distance and calories correctly even if it does not use his arms while swimming with a surfboard?

    I used my series 2 during my bath today for the first time. It does a great job of tracking my laps... freestyle, free with paddles and open palms. But he is not one of my kicks. I threw it only Dolphin on my back (without arms). I swam more than 250 kick 3500yds, it does not register at all. Next time I might try on my stomach, but without a Board of Directors and use my arms a little to breathe.  Overall I was impressed but.

  • MacBook pro late 2011 glitches after logic board replacement

    Hi all!

    I end 2011 macbook pro in April 2015, I got free logic board replacement because of glitches of gpu (http://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro-videoissues/) but now I'm having the same problem again. my macbook showing pink lines on startup apple logo and does not start.

    Can I replace my logic board again (it will be 2nd time) this program?

    Depending on which country you are (United States I guess) you should actually be covered under various consumer protection regulations and must now insist on a replacement machine. This defect is a manufacturing defect and that you already had a repair that did not set you have the legal right to a replacement. That said I should advise that Apple do not tend to stick to their legal obligations in this case (I know I have a macbook 13-inch pro who had questions on the first day and despite extensive repairs Apple still refuse to replace - although clearly indicated their own conditions of sale & the law here) He should have).  On another front repairs performed on any product should work properly for a "reasonable" period Again the definition depends on what country you are but in Europe, which is usually recognized only 6 years old at best. Good luck!

    I'm wandering on sea water with apply watch series 2. But saw that someone has responded to this topic and mentioned it won't be good for massive water sports. My question is how about surfing and windsurfing?

    Thanks in advance.

    I don't know what you mean by "massive Yachting", but the Apple Watch series 2 can treat water without problem.

  • A USB connected device damage my logic board?

    My iMac (Intel Core i7 3.4 GHz - OS X 10.9.5) recently started to shut down, requiring a reset of the SCM in order to back to the top.

    The logic board has been replaced, but less than a week he started to happen again. A connected USB device could be the cause of the problem?

    Hello

    It depends on. USB 3.0 and 3.1 standard are limited to 5 volts with a draw limited current 1.5 amps, but are made to withstand 5. If there is a soft short-circuit or death in the terrestrial component then yes it could damage the system board or at least safe where to put it down to avoid damage to himself if it detects the voltage on the common ground or DC. I wouldn't use any device you have plugged into it or it will continue to occur and could potentially cause more damage than just the logical card. It could cause data corrupted on your hard drive or other components.

  • Print a Board-contact

    Hi-

    I try to print a photo of an estate inventory.  I have the pictures in a folder on the Photo.  When I open the folder and select the photos you want to print, I will file and down to print, which is grayed out.  I have no idea how to do that, and I've worked with Macs for my entire adult life!

    Thank you!

    Make a Board-contact is not a built-in feature to OSX Photos.

    You must export the photos to a folder and use another application to create and print a Board-contact.

    A quick search for "contact sheet" in the Mac App store showed me this...
