Lenono 3000 N100 slow battery

In Lenono 3000 N100 default battery about 1 hour charge, which is too high costs, which makes it very hot battery and reduce the life of the battery, my question is how to slow charge battery allows for 3-4 hours?

You must contact Lenovo with this kind of question - Windows does not control the speed at which the battery charges, it's a hardware problem.

I followed the advice given by Mark_Levono and called Lenovo support and I was told that they will not honor the warranty of 18 months for me because my warranty is more based on one year her.  I fully meet the condition of replacement displayed in the URL (see URL http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-69671). They said that they do not know it and the link isn't an official announcement and maybe it's an obsolete page. I get only a few days left and I need help to get my Lenovo battery fixed. Can I call rather USA Lenovo support or if your guy have another number I can complain about it? Thank you.

    Jingyu, welcome to the forum,

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble. We gave you a call by the rep number you were talking about? It is very important as you say that you have only a few days left.

If you have a phone number, I would call again and if possible to make reference to the number of appeal; You'll perhaps reach a more useful Rep. the Outphasing 69671 document once again, but also point out that it has been changed on 2008-08-25, printed at the bottom of the document, and it is up to date. Make sure you get a new phone number.

If you are a new refuse and know absolutely sure that you meet all the requirements, tell them you want to file a complaint and they should be able to start this process.

Let us know how you go.

  • Error PXE 3000 N100, does not start BIOS

    Hello people,

I recently picked up some laptop second hand and projects for free time and learn a little more. One of them is a Lenovo 3000 N100. I'm not sure of the exact model as the COA sticker is worn. The laptop came without RAM, a hard drive or battery! I am aware that this may be more effort than its worth, but wanted to give it a go...

With RAM installed, shows the white startup Lenovo screen (sometimes quickly, sometimes takes forever) - if I press ESC, then the following information is displayed:

Unknown project ID! BIOS version? 61ET32WW

    CPU = Intel (R) Celeron (R) M CPU 410 @ 1.46 GHz

    1023 M system RAM passed

    1024K Cache SRAM Passes

    System BIOS with a shadow

    Video BIOS with a shadow

    CD ROM...

    Initialized the mouse

Pressing F1 or F12 does nothing.

The following errors are then displayed, which Google I see is a common problem. However, I can't find a fix that applies to me.

PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of

PXE:MOF: get out the PXE ROM

    Operating system not found.

From what I see online, the portable computer tries to boot from a network/LAN. I tried a XP boot CD with no joy.

I can't access BIOS to change boot priority.

The RAM seems to work judging by the messages above?

I tried to put in a blank disk and remove it (tested with novatech adapter USB SATA, HDD seems to work well).

Is my next option to reset the CMOS battery? I should add that on the first screen, I received at the start of error codes 0271 and 0251 regarding the date system and time and CMOS checksum bad, but after leaving the laptop plugged in all night, they make their appearance is no longer.

No wonder that BIOS was confusing - it turns out that F1 and F12 are dead keys, and one of the Ctrl keys (I used an online keyboard controller to test). Access key for the BIOS and to the startup list both did not work. I managed to access BIOS by using a USB keyboard. I think I'll try reinstalling the keyboard first, if this does not work, have a go at a personal key, and if it works no - one second hand keyboard. BIOS is not the latest version, but I guess that there is not a huge need to update?

XP is installed for now, because I don't have spare keys Windows 7. I have a few modules of 2 GB of RAM, so it will move to the 3 GB maximum. Then decide to keep or not! I have a Z60M I prefer, so that this one will probably get donated or sold. Just a shame the RAM is so limited on them.

  • Lenovo 3000 N100 closures abruprly

    Hello!

I own a Lenovo 3000 N100 (Intel Celeron M420, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB HDD) for 4 years. I faced the problem of the judgment a few days ago. My battery has been dead for a long time already, so I always use alternating current. The laptop just turns off no visible reason.

The problem does not depend on a punt BONE (I dual-boot Windows XP and Ubuntu). The judgment is not happened if the unit remained intact for an hour, but should I start some software resource (like a game), it stops immediately.

I've browsed this forum and found many similar cases. However, I have not found a practical solution to the problem. To me, all these tous ces symptomes symptoms point to possible overheating. May be, the silicone between the CPU and the cooler block has run dry? Someone has solved this problem successfully?

    Thank you!

Turns out that, the question was not on the thermal paste or overheating.

After that I had removed the battery, the problem is never repeated. Even if the battery was operable, I often saw incorrect discharge time estimate, then, probably, what all a factory default.

  • 3000 N100 power problems

Hi, I have a 1 year old 3000 N100. The battery seems dead and now the laptop does not work on the main power supply either - it crashes when starting upwards. Can anyone suggest a good place to consider to make repair or buy a new battery? (Ratu Plaza?) Thank you

Run with battery removed until you get a new one.
    Should be no problem.

  • Two big problems that actually my Lenovo 3000 N100 an expensive paperweight.

Well, I have two problems with my laptop, I know not related:

1 my laptop battery died a month ago. It will not hold a charge, and disconnect the system stops immediately the system. This is identical to the symptoms according to the question battery attached on the top of the forum. However, this battery problem has occurred after the same extended warranty.

    2. my laptop now spontaneously, inexplicably stopped between 3-5 minutes after having turned it on. It is as if the system was abruptly disconnected.

Between these two issues, it has effectively crippled my laptop. The first question he limited to the power outlet. The second, it is completely unusable. The system works normally until she stops spontaneously. Due to the time it takes until that stops, I doubt I can use Lenovo online warranty verification tool. For this reason, I can not even serial number (as the warranty sticker is worn to the point of illegibility.

First question: what can be done to fix it?

Second question: is it under warranty? It's a Lenovo 3000 N100.

Please let me know as soon as POSSIBLE. This is a very problematic issue for me, and I am really unhappy that a less-than-two year system is dead, and I hope that this can be resolved.

Good call Claude. My laptop has started to function normally again because I disconnected the battery. However, more than ever, I need a replacement battery.

  • Lenovo 3000 N100 shuts down without warning

My Lenovo 3000 N100 has begun to turn off unexpectedly when you are connected to the power adapter.  It turns out if I turn back on, but in a few minutes turns off again.  Any ideas?  Thank you

Thanks for this suggestion.  After much research in these forums, I found a post that says that they have disconnected their computer, removed the battery, then pressed the button of power 15 times for 30 seconds on the last time.  I thought that it could not do wrong so I tried.  It worked!  I am able to stay under tension with my power adapter as long as I want now.  I ordered a new battery and will not leave it a non-use of the original.

  • Lenovo 3000 N100

Trying to find the drivers for lenovo 3000 n100, but for some reason, this laptop model is not on the support page. Where can I get the drivers for this laptop? He was there all the time.

I tried the version of the n200 drivers and some drivers work but the camera driver does not work with him and the wireless driver is not working properly with him.

Good day and welcome to the community.

As you have seen, the support site has been redesigned. For your old model, please visit:

http://download.Lenovo.com/express/ and select matrix driver in the top left section.

On the resulting page, choose laptops & tablets, Lenovo N Series and Lenovo N100 in three drop-down menus, respectively.

I hope this helps a little.

    Kind regards.

  • Upgradeing the graphics card on the 3000 N100

I wonder if its possible to improve the graphics of cards for my Lenovo 3000 N100. I play Eve Online and would like to be able to upgrade to high-end graphics. In addition, I was told that I need to reload my OS about every 3 months on my laptop. Is this true? I run the windows vista that came with the laptop and have had no problems with it. If I need to do I'll do it. I don't know if it of true or not. And when it comes to computers, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. Laughing out loud! Not even close to him. So any advice would be greatly welcomed. Thanks for your time and your help.

Usually (95% I have met) laptops are not expandable with video card. You can replace the CPU/memory/hard DRIVE and even some cards such as WiFi Bluetooth &, but not video. It's empty because design radiator different in different models and also other modules in sizes, while the CPU/memory/hard DRIVE have their standards, which facilitates the replacement.

With regard to the operating system:
No problem for to reinstall me an OS as I do for others twice a week usually. So I have something to say here. While using a system that is getting filled with garbage. More applications that you install - waste more you. Corrupt registry, temporary files are collected... No need to reinstall until your system is entirely online.
    So.
Simply clean from time to time of the folders temp (running %tmp% and %Temp% to display your temporary folders), check your system of CCleaner for garbage and used Ashampoo Uninstaller corrupted registry and (if you want). This program is extremely useful. It analyses the system prior to installation and after. Is a newspaper. Then simply uninstall you it by Ashampoo - everything is deleted. All the registry keys (including hidden for trial and shareware progs) and all af you uninstall this app. You keep your system as clean as it possible - as if it was the first execution of Windows. Infested with only worrying about me - never tried Vista.

  • Maximum hard drive size in the Lenovo 3000 N100

    I have Lenovo 3000 N100

It came with 100 GB hard drive 5400 RPM

What is the maximum hard disk that can be used. Is it possible to only 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM?

    Thanks for the answer

    Abraham

No, I'm this based on the Avenue of the planets. Kidding.

I base this experience with laptops cheaper and lower quality supporting better hard disks, processor, etc. etc.

Also the fact that some N100 configurations included a 250 GB SATA 5400 RPM hard drive. No reason why will not work a 7200 RPM drive.

We invite you to seek advice elsewhere.

  • nVidia graphics card GeForce Go 7300 on laptop Lenovo 3000 N100 0768-family failure

I took my Lenovo 3000 N100 0768 - family portable computer to a computer laptop shop the other day because I couldn't get anything to appear on the screen to power on and the report I got back from telling them that the motherboard needed a "BGA rework.

I then received a message "repair has denied" on their tracking system, so phoned and someone said that they could not repair or replace the nVidia GeForce Go 7300 graphics card but I could come and collect the laptop because it is.

I was wondering if I can do something myself to try to make it work again until I was hard and the parties separated on an auction site.

Is there a graphics card that seems to be the one that I had on this auction site and I was wondering how it would be difficult to install the card and if it would solve the problem or if the laptop needs a new motherboard.

    Thank you.

If you ask my personal opinion, don't waste your time and money to replace main Board.

Just buy new laptop if you can.

Edit: this marker is as resolved.

  • Help: Lenovo 3000 N100 - Driver Win XP

    Hello

I use Lenovo 3000 N100. Recently, I have reinstalled my OS, Windows XP SP2. But I wasn't able to find the drivers for the laptop.  I searched and found two links, but the drivers downloaded from these two links doest match.

These drivers are simply install without any error, but the material remains unfixed.

    The links are,

    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/MIGR-63572.html

Could someone help me solve this problem.

    Thanks in advance

Installation of the drivers is usually a perspective of two floors.

When you run the downloaded executable file he unzips the files from your hard drive (should be C:\win\drivers\***).

You need to go to this folder and run the program to install the driver from there.

    That should do it...
