Lenovo 3000 N100 Vista install

A couple of years ago, my wife bought a Lenovo 3000 N110 of Office Depot with Vista Home Premium.  This computer worked fine and I haven't had that one time restore factory settings.  During the last week, we remained a motel and connected to their system Wi - Fi.  When we are back, the computer would not start.  Must the "windows progress bar" and then not more.  After trial and error with and try to start again, I tried to restall to factory-installed.  He would get to the 'end of install' step and no further details.  I went and completely removed all software on the active partition of reformatting.  Then he would do nothing.  I used Ubuntu to go back and check the partitions, and the restore partition has been listed as "unallocated" (the deleted partition).

Some time, I had a copy of Vista Ultimate free for participating in a program.  I tried to install it, but still, he would get to the "installation complete" and go no further (after hours).

Anyone know how I can get reinstalled Vista?  The material works, Ubuntu is now running on the computer.

Thank you.

A person of work suggested that the hard drive can be all bad.  I didn't know that I had nothing to lose by installing a new hd as cheap as now.   Tonight, I installed the new hd, and Vista Ultimate installed completely.

Solved.

I took my Lenovo 3000 N100 0768 - family portable computer to a computer laptop shop the other day because I couldn't get anything to appear on the screen to power on and the report I got back from telling them that the motherboard needed a "BGA rework.

I then received a message "repair has denied" on their tracking system, so phoned and someone said that they could not repair or replace the nVidia GeForce Go 7300 graphics card but I could come and collect the laptop because it is.

I was wondering if I can do something myself to try to make it work again until I was hard and the parties separated on an auction site.

Is there a graphics card that seems to be the one that I had on this auction site and I was wondering how it would be difficult to install the card and if it would solve the problem or if the laptop needs a new motherboard.

If you ask my personal opinion, don't waste your time and money to replace main Board.

Just buy new laptop if you can.

Could someone help me solve this problem.

    Thanks in advance

Installation of the drivers is usually a perspective of two floors.

When you run the downloaded executable file he unzips the files from your hard drive (should be C:\win\drivers\***).

You need to go to this folder and run the program to install the driver from there.

    That should do it...

  • Lenovo 3000 N100

Trying to find the drivers for lenovo 3000 n100, but for some reason, this laptop model is not on the support page. Where can I get the drivers for this laptop? He was there all the time.

I tried the version of the n200 drivers and some drivers work but the camera driver does not work with him and the wireless driver is not working properly with him.

Good day and welcome to the community.

As you have seen, the support site has been redesigned. For your old model, please visit:

http://download.Lenovo.com/express/ and select matrix driver in the top left section.

On the resulting page, choose laptops & tablets, Lenovo N Series and Lenovo N100 in three drop-down menus, respectively.

  • Maximum hard drive size in the Lenovo 3000 N100

    I have Lenovo 3000 N100

It came with 100 GB hard drive 5400 RPM

What is the maximum hard disk that can be used. Is it possible to only 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM?

    Thanks for the answer

    Abraham

No, I'm this based on the Avenue of the planets. Kidding.

I base this experience with laptops cheaper and lower quality supporting better hard disks, processor, etc. etc.

Also the fact that some N100 configurations included a 250 GB SATA 5400 RPM hard drive. No reason why will not work a 7200 RPM drive.

We invite you to seek advice elsewhere.

  • Lenovo 3000 N100 closures abruprly

    Hello!

I own a Lenovo 3000 N100 (Intel Celeron M420, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB HDD) for 4 years. I faced the problem of the judgment a few days ago. My battery has been dead for a long time already, so I always use alternating current. The laptop just turns off no visible reason.

The problem does not depend on a punt BONE (I dual-boot Windows XP and Ubuntu). The judgment is not happened if the unit remained intact for an hour, but should I start some software resource (like a game), it stops immediately.

I've browsed this forum and found many similar cases. However, I have not found a practical solution to the problem. To me, all these tous ces symptomes symptoms point to possible overheating. May be, the silicone between the CPU and the cooler block has run dry? Someone has solved this problem successfully?

    Thank you!

Turns out that, the question was not on the thermal paste or overheating.

After that I had removed the battery, the problem is never repeated. Even if the battery was operable, I often saw incorrect discharge time estimate, then, probably, what all a factory default.

  • Two big problems that actually my Lenovo 3000 N100 an expensive paperweight.

Well, I have two problems with my laptop, I know not related:

1 my laptop battery died a month ago. It will not hold a charge, and disconnect the system stops immediately the system. This is identical to the symptoms according to the question battery attached on the top of the forum. However, this battery problem has occurred after the same extended warranty.

    2. my laptop now spontaneously, inexplicably stopped between 3-5 minutes after having turned it on. It is as if the system was abruptly disconnected.

Between these two issues, it has effectively crippled my laptop. The first question he limited to the power outlet. The second, it is completely unusable. The system works normally until she stops spontaneously. Due to the time it takes until that stops, I doubt I can use Lenovo online warranty verification tool. For this reason, I can not even serial number (as the warranty sticker is worn to the point of illegibility.

First question: what can be done to fix it?

Second question: is it under warranty? It's a Lenovo 3000 N100.

Please let me know as soon as POSSIBLE. This is a very problematic issue for me, and I am really unhappy that a less-than-two year system is dead, and I hope that this can be resolved.

Good call Claude. My laptop has started to function normally again because I disconnected the battery. However, more than ever, I need a replacement battery.

  • Lenovo 3000 N100 shuts down without warning

My Lenovo 3000 N100 has begun to turn off unexpectedly when you are connected to the power adapter.  It turns out if I turn back on, but in a few minutes turns off again.  Any ideas?  Thank you

Thanks for this suggestion.  After much research in these forums, I found a post that says that they have disconnected their computer, removed the battery, then pressed the button of power 15 times for 30 seconds on the last time.  I thought that it could not do wrong so I tried.  It worked!  I am able to stay under tension with my power adapter as long as I want now.  I ordered a new battery and will not leave it a non-use of the original.

  • Help, please! downgraded to XP, Vista, Lenovo 3000 N100

    Hello

I just reformatted my hard drive by putting in the cd of Windows XP and booted from the CD!

My laptop came with Vista .

Everything went smoothly, no problems. But now I can get my wireless to work. I downloaded all the drivers I've seen here. Still cannot understand why my wireless does not work.

If anyone can explain, I would be really appreciated.

Another question, when I move the windows open on my desk, always as if I scroll vertically, it takes a few seconds, it looks like a new framework, whenever I try to scroll upwards or downwards or switch from one screen to the other.

Please guys if you know a solution let me know!

    You have so much.

    Stacy

Here's the driver page that I use.

    Drivers

You must know which wireless adapter you have.

Broadcom or Intel. Try the XP Device Manager.

    Control Panel-> system-> hardware-> device-> network cards Manager.

Slow scrolling sounds as if you have not install graphic driver.

    Intel or Nvidia.

You know the method for installing the drivers?

When you run the file downloaded, it decompresses it in a folder on your hard drive,

    Example: c:\drivers\win\video

and then you have to access this file and find the Setup file and run it.
