BDX3300kb wakes up in the middle of the night

We bought a BDX3300KB for use in a bedroom. Unfortunately, it seems to wake up in the middle of the night (around 04:00 hour of the United Kingdom), probably to verify the new firmware etc. As I activated of CEC, the Toshiba TV connected to wake up also.

In short everything that the power failure, is there a way to stop the player waking up in the middle of the night? If this isn't the case, I think to send it back to Amazon.

A solution is so far, to set the Wifi network (that we use for iPlayer/Youtube) to ethernet, which is not connected, so there is no network connection, before we turn it off. It seems to stop it to wake up, but this does not mean that the next time we want to use the iPlayer, we must reconfigure the Wifi.

I wondered if it was one thing to renewal DHCP, so I gave her an address fixed IP, but it does not solve the problem manually.

Thank you

Neil

So if the network cable is connected, the player does not automatically wakes. Only if the WiFi is enabled. Right?
In this case I n t think that the player wakes up due to the update of the firmware check.
I think that something is connected to the wireless drive and this helps the player.

Check if what would happen once the player has been updated to factory settings

  • Help - my laptop wakes up in the middle of the night?

I checked my scheduled tasks, there is no timetable to wake up my laptop in the middle of the night.

Someone has suggestions on the place where to check the events detailed in yesterday? so I can see which wake up my laptop.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

    Hello

    Thanks for the reply.

Windows performs several tasks during the night, including the work of backup, defragmentation of hard disks, etc. These are usually the root cause of the alarms.

You can begin troubleshooting by opening an elevated command prompt * and type powercfg /lastwake to see what woke up the last computer.

    * To open a command prompt, type cmd in the Start Menu, and then press Ctrl-Shift-Enter.

I had two portable A500 12 months running Windows 7, all the updates automatically. Among the computers portable himself on switches in the middle of the night and has the user logon screen indicating in the morning. It does when it is connected to power and on battery (flat performance in the process). It will do so with the lid closed and fully closed by Windows the day before evening.

Cannot find any settings in Windows that causes this to happen. The problem has probably occurred since the purchase, but I have that for some time my wife had not been properly shut down it! Laughing out loud

  • Reminders app sends unnecessary notifications in the middle of the night.

Last month began the reminders-app notifications to wake me in the middle of the night, for no reason.

Notifications involved items that were overdue and which had already warned me properly a few weeks ago. But I can't find any reason why the app sent me these nasty wake-up calls... Any ideas?

    Hello jsvdb,

The reminders app is programmed to remind you of respect or overdue items. If you set them to remind you on a weekly basis, she will do. If you said to remember at some point, he will do and repetitively every once in awhile you do remember. Try to open the reminders, and filling all the points mark as done or complete, and/or "slide" the recall left and delete it if you no longer need.

    I hope this helps!

If not, get back to me here and I'll look like in it.

    Hi HD RIDER 1,

    Welcome to Microsoft Answers Forum.

Since when are you facing this problem?

    What are the recent changes?

Do save you the game before you put the computer to sleep or into hibernation Mode?

Are you using a mouse and keyboard wireless?

Have you encountered this problem before?

If you had not encountered this problem before you can go ahead and perform a restore of the system on your computer.

Try to restore the operating system to an earlier point in time when it worked great for the steps below:

Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

In the System Restore dialog box, click on choose another restore point and then click Next.

In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.

    Click Finish.

  • I turn off my computer when finish work but it turns itself in the middle of the night.

My computer seems to have a mind of itself. He wakes at night after being off for hours

This problem is sometimes because your system is set on "Wake on LAN" which means that if a packet of information happens on your Ethernet (Internet) connection, which could bring your system to wake up and then find nothing to do.

There is a good reason for that custom this feature in some environments, but usually not for a computing environment.
You may have a task on demand that you have added or some third party program you have installed has added for you which could be put in place to wake up your computer when he thinks it's time to run.
If you use the Stand By option and you have cats, they can walk on your keyboard or mouse and that might be enough to turn your system off Stand By.  If you are sure that you are really close, it would not be the problem,

The parameters might be in your system or part of your Internet - BIOS that can be disabled if you don't need.
You can search on the Internet with something like Google for your system and model and of wake on lan and should be able to know how to disable it for your system of brand not specified and the model.
You can experiment and before spending the night, turn off your system in the usual way and then physically disconnect the Internet cable and see how things look the next day.
Since the Microsoft Answers forum does not have any kind of information system request when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.
Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.
Provide information on your system, the better you can:
What is your system brand and model?
What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?
If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

  • Battery, specifically in the night with ios10

It happens to me all the time, when the night comes and I don my body with this sweet sleep, it's rough on my iPhone.  Really difficult.  I'll just go on my what happened to my phone last night...

I went to bed around 01:30, my phone was 93%.  Here is a list of things that together did us before going to bed.

-Set airplane mode because I get horrible service where I live, and I learned that that saves my battery

    -Closed all my apps

    -Night market

These are normal things I do every night.  Do not forget that I have the app off background refresh and I have like 3 or 4 things in my widgets.  When I woke up just 6 hours and a half later, my phone had fallen to 59 percent.  Normally when I wake up and work all day and use the phone more (not much, I'm not a heavy user), I have no problem.  It's nighttime in general just when I have these problems.

I had an iPhone before iOS 10 and 6, I had no problem with my other phone that my * service area, but I use call in wifi and FaceTime to correct this, if my phone is usually at home airplane mode.  Got a new iPhone 7 and who seemed to have no problems for 2 days, but now I'm back for the battery drain of night time making my iPhone 6.

I doubt that is it because I don't see the problem often, but I think that my router is wrong and sometimes I lose the connection, but when the phone is in standby mode and I don't use it I doubt it would be the problem.  When I go to my use of the battery and check what is using what it says Facebook is 23%, and home and lock screen is only at 2% when it is clearly more 30% has been used yesterday evening.

Any help would be appreciated, I'm fretting here!

Facebook app is to drain the battery much. I would rather uninstall. But if you need it, there are a few tips to make energy not so consume: http://www.cultofmac.com/420508/stop-facebook-iphone-battery-drain/
