  • Lenovo G400s optimize battery health auto turn off display

    Hello

I rarely use my laptop outside the power adapter, so I decide to try the 'optimize battery health '.

To my surprise it drain the battery of 60% and he stopped there without discharge or charge, which is good.

But it has a few side effects, it turned off my screen every minute which is annoying, in my power Option, my screen is set to never turn when I plug in, I even try to define each presets/profiles of never turn off screen when the plug-in or battery, it helps not at all.

This could get really annoying when I read an article when my keyboard and mouse is not in use.

Thank you for your attention, the hope for a solution soon.

    Details of the laptop:
    Lenovo G400s

    Core i5 - 3230 m

    Windows 8

    8 GB RAM

    128 GB SSD

    1 TB HARD DRIVE

    All the drivers/software updated

Energy management: high power Performance management, optimize the battery, drive energy-saving hard.

p/s: Please let me know if need more information, I will provide as much as possible to fix this.

Okay, my bad, it was my stupid screen saver settings that enable the return to the logon screen after 1 minute.

He was supposed to turn off when I set to (none) but I guess that I was wrong, in any case, this has been solved by "human error."

  • EMERGENCY AID! B570 LENOVO won't Lenovo Boot Logo.

Hello, this is my first post and I hope somebody could lend me a helping hand. I have a laptop of Lenovo B, specifically a B570 series. I got it for a year and a half now and it was working fine until I started to see some issues.

My first encounter was sartup questions. The machine normally laggs whenever Windows starts up the screen of the user. I checked for it and the problem was variface username and the fingerprint reader. It seems that the two caused a delay to the boot. in any case I had who spend not stop but in hibernation.

A few months I decided to close my machine and that was my mistake. It starts and then shifted, I normally fixed that by juice holding the power botton and the boot until it works. It worked for a while until that time.

I realized when I powered it down, he refused to move to the start screen of Lenovo and whenever I select F2/F8 all I get is "please wait...". "and lasts for hours. I tried to replace the hard drive, formatting as outwardly NOTHING.

I tried troubleshooting such as RAM replacement n all but still no luck. Even removed the RAM and doesn't even get a beep or nothing. Lights are turned on also. I have even restored to CMOS battery pull and nothing seems to work. I also noticed that in this case, the processor fan stops spinning also.

I really need to solve this problem because of me going to University.

    Help, please! Thank you.

  • Questions for Lenovo Y570

    Hey,.

I just got my Y570 yesterday and I'm in love!

All though I wonder why my boot time is 01:46 seconds. I think he should deal with the bloat ware. Can someone give me a list of bloatware which is safe to remove and useless?

    @ Velenoso666

On the onekeytheatre, it is this button next to the one with which you control the «fan speed» mode Slightly, it changes the contrast of the colors and uses a different model of sounds. It's more noticeable if you have headphones and watching a movie... Otherwise, it is pretty useless.

    @ Ksteven

You should try the technique described by memoirs, or you could try the optimizer to start EA, provided by lenovo. Although people on the forum have said that it works perfectly for them. Use to start and that you have not, you will see in a few days that you programs. I use lenovo especially programs if I have almost all of them uninstalled and I don't have a lot of things on my laptop and I have the time to defragment my disk once a week, so I keep my boot time to 30-40 seconds without lenovo boot optimizer.

  • One - Key post issue...

After uninstalling a program on my new G570, my Lenovo has become unstable (explorer.exe acted upward). System Restore didn't help, so I used a spare key and it helped. To re - install my programs, I noticed that my software defrag has shown that there are files along the edge of the C: (one of the keys before there was a line neat on the edge with a space at the end of the disc) and a sequence of files until the middle of the disc where there is none before. Now, my computer is significantly slower and the download speeds are significantly slower (Youtube videos now buffer where they loaded before seamlessly). The computer works fine other than the slight slowdown. I tried several defragmenters does not. The separation of the files appear to affect computer management. The files until the middle of the disc are indicated as 'good behaviour' by SmartDefrag. I tried a boot time defrag with Puran thus does not.

Anyone have a similar experience, and someone has a suggestion to fix the problem? When the files were all together at the edge of the disc the G570 very well performed. It is not now erratic, but very stable. I just noticed the slight slowdown after a key.

    Thank you, Kyuzo.

    Fixed.

One caveat: maybe it's just my system, but allow EA Boot Optimizer complete its operation (from the second reboot). I had to turn off during the restart due to an emergency situation, and then the computer would crash and eventually does not restart.

  • EE 2.0 with z570

Hey, I recently bought this laptop z570 and I preformed clen install of windows 7 everything works like charm, but I was wondering if I can install enhanced 2.0. It seems that this laptop is listed as a possible run of EA. But I can't find any dl link. Can someone help me?

Software OneKey theater and Lenovo EE Boot Optimizer published on consumer support site. Here is the link: http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/au/en/DriversDownLoads/APR_Driver_List.aspx?CategoryID=307140&OS=0...

For your info, EE is not a software. It's a way to describe the performance of the machine by optimize system files, processes, and the hardware parameters to achieve faster start-up and downtime

  • Impossible to prevent (dfrgntfs.exe) Disk Defragmenter to run during System Idle

How can I prevent the Disk Defragmenter Windows (dfrgntfs.exe) tool to launch automatically when my Windows Vista machine is idle?  I defragment my hard disk with IObit Smart Defrag software and do not want the Windows defrag utility constantly re-organization of the files on my hard drive once I optimized the placement of files with Smart Defrag.

I checked the Windows Disk Defragmenter tool (start |) All programs | Accessories | System Tools | Disk Defragmenter) and regular defrags are disabled (i.e., the checkbox "Run on a schedule" is disabled).  I checked Windows Task Scheduler (start |) Administrative Tools | Task Scheduler | Task Scheduler Library | Microsoft | Windows | Defrag) and the task of ScheduledDefrag also appears as disabled here.

My hard drive is formatted with the NTFS file system and my Norton Internet Security 2010 software Norton tasks window shows that dfrgntfs.exe starts about 30 minutes after my system goes into "idle" mode.  Is there another tool of Windows running in the background (for example, the Windows search indexing) which can be automatically trigger the Windows Disk Defragmenter?

I hope that there is a simple configuration change or registry change that will stop the Windows Disk Defragmenter to run while it is idle, but still lets me run a manual defragmentation if I want to do.

    Lorien - one:

Thanks for the quick response.  I'm failry certain that the ScheduledDefrag task in Windows Task Scheduler is not the culprit.  This task (and trigger) show that off and the task history shows that a regular defrag last ran on my system there is, over 2 years which is the time that I have disabled the checkbox "Run on a schedule" in the Windows Disk Defragmenter tool.

I found a post today in the My Digital Life Forums (http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/1910-DfrgNtfs.exe-in-Vista-SP1) which suggests that there is a Vista boot optimization process that runs defragments dfrgntfs.exe whenever you reboot your system, even if in the application are disabled.  Is recommended that a response to stop dfrgntfs.exe to run after every reboot:

    1. open the Windows registry (run > regedit)
    2. go to path
    3. change the "Enable" key of Y to N

I found information on the Start function to optimize on the Microsoft TechNet Library website (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc778290 (WS.10) .aspx) which States that "Windows automatically optimizes for the optimization of startup file location. This optimization happens automatically if the system is idle for 10 minutes. Start optimization improves the start-up time to locate the startup files in contiguous clusters on the volume, reducing the movement of the head of the disc during playback of the volume".  I have no idea if third-party defragmenters like IObit Smart Defrag or Defraggler of Piriform can optimize the placement of these Windows startup system files or Boot Optimization provides some additional benefits to the performance of the system.

I don't know if the Boot Optimization function is actually the cause of my origins unscheduled defragments but it's the only reasonable explanation I could find.  When these "silent" defragments happen on my system, they occupy more than 50% of my CPU and will last more than an hour (or until my system is idle).  I had problems with my system of freezing after it goes into idle mode (i.e., move my mouse or using the keyboard has no effect and I have to do a re-difficult start by turning off my laptop) and I begin to suspect that if this unscheduled defragmentation runs along with other tasks in the background (for example (, my daily QuickScan in Norton anti-virus) that a page conflict or lack of system resources could freeze my computer.

I would appreciate hearing of a person who can confirm that the Boot Optimization function will trigger unforeseen defragments when Vista is idle or knows if the Boot Optimization function is all real benefits if you use a third-party Defragmenter.

  • X 220: How can I disable screen orientation shortcuts keyboard?

Problem: Windows virtual PC captures the mouse pointer, and the combo hotkey to release the pointer to the host OS (Win7) is Ctrl-Alt-left.    When I type this key combination, it is interpreted as a display of screen in portrait orientation, the top of the page to the left.

Solution: Minimize everything with WIndows-M key combination, which releases also control the mouse to Win7

    I tried:

    1. right click on desktop, disable Graphics Options, shortcut keys.

    2. right click on desktop, graphics properties, Options and Support Hot Key Manager. Not checked the box to enable or change the keyboard shortcut for "Rotate 90 degrees" other than ctrl-alt-Left.

None of these works, the screen always rotates to the left when I hit Ctrl-Alt-left.

The video driver is at the current level.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi dnw333!

Lenovo reading optimizer also uses these same rotation shortcut keys. Try to uninstall.

    I hope this helps!

  • Lenovo V580c HARD drive is dead, can't boot from DVD or other medium

We have computer laptop lenovo V580c whose HARD drive died - he was already 2 times lol refubrished and it died again. It has Windows preinstalled 8/8.1 and we have upgraded to Windows 10 recently. But as the HARD drive is dead, we need to reinstall the system on the new drive (we of this msata ssd). In any case, I tried to start Notepad with DVD with burned ISO of Windows 10 clean image, but the laptop won't boot from the DVD all of a sudden. No change in the BIOS could help solve - laptop everything simply does not recognize any drive now. He goes through all the boot options and stopped at the initialization of the network which we have not. And then, we see just a small windows with the boot option that do not in any way. Here are some photos: http://imgur.com/a/6R185 http://imgur.com/a/112HY http://imgur.com/a/K1k8Q I have tried BIOS posible lall lifestyles, responsible security settings, used UEFI/legacy/the two, disabled/enabled secure boot. Nothing helps and the laptop is literally unusable now because it's not accept any storage/disk to start. I even tried to remove any startup as HARD drive unit, DVD and new msata I tested before. Computer laptop while still not trying to boot. Of course, it is out of warranty now. What can I do to fix it and make acept to boot from the DVD again? I don't want perair service because it wil cost us money. This product should work in the first place. We had so many bad experience with lenovo with this laptop that I won't buy another their product more.
