HP Pavilion p6623w video Graphics Card Question.

With the HP Pavilion p6623w, it has an integrated ATI graphics built in. I recently bought a Zotac GeForce gtx 550 ti AMP! Video card and I wanted to install it in the HP System. Unfortunately since I installed it, I had many problems to make same ot games starts. Star Wars: The Old Republic opens the menu and when I click on 'play' it black screens and closed auto itself. The same question comes with League of legends and any demo that I download.

I've updated the drivers as well as other updates that I did to my PC and still no luck, so I'm stuck. I guess it could be my integrated video card?

I can't seem to find a way to disable and exactly how would I have done that?

Please and thanks for the help!

Here are the specifications of your HP p6623w desktop and here are the specs of the ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 550 AMP Ti ! Edition graphics card, you are having problems with. According to the specifications of your computer, your system came with a 250 watt power supply. According to the specifications of the Zotac GTX 550 Ti, it requires a minimum system + 400 watts of power. Unless you have installed a new more powerful PSU, this card will try to draw more power than the PSU will provide.

With regard to the integrated... video card BIOS automatically disables it when it detects a card into the PCIe x 16 slot.

Also, I was wondering about the differences between this and the generic version from Intel's?  It is very difficult to answer.  HP has their motherboards manufactured according to their own specifications.

any help appreciated since a tor edi with a unusable macbook pro

The problem is probably due to the discrete GPU failure. Download gfxCardStatus2.3 and use it to disable the discrete GPU. It is of a temporary workaround until you get your motherboard replaced or buy a new model.

  • Resolution is dependent on the video graphics card memory?

Resolution is dependent on the video graphics card memory? If that's true then how much resolution a 2 GB card can support? I mean on what map I'll be able to run a game like 'NFS RUN' on a resolution higher, if I have 2 cards with the same specifications but difference is 1 GB and 2 GB, I don't speak of GDDR3 128 bit NVDI GT 440. ?

Resolution is dependent on the GPU, and not on the installed memory. The memory will help the screen refresh more quickly, and video help in smoother race.

    According to the specs here:

    http://www.GeForce.com/hardware/desktop-GPUs/GeForce-gt-440-channel/specifications

You should be able to get a maximum digital resolution of 2560 x 1600 and an analog-resolution 2048 x 1536 (VGA). This assumes of course that your monitor will be very high. The highest card ira is limited by the capabilities of the monitor also.

Thus, the memory card more than video, that you, smooth graphics should work, but it will have no effect on the resolution.

I'm trying to implement 2 screens (extended desktop mode) and when I connect them both, however, I got a picture on two screens, one of them is color purple/pink.

I have swithced monitors around, it's NOT either of the monitors, they bot work very well... and the cablesARE guaranteed in the monitors and computer ports.

What is the video/graphics card which is the problem?... If so, how can I check these errors?

    Thanks to all who respond!

Try changing the cables, if they are of the same type.

I think that the problem is a damaged cable.

I just bought a new p7-1126 of hp computer that meets all the reqs as documented on the site of AMD System. (win7 64 bit, 1 TB hd, 6 GB ram, amd quad core 2.4 GHz processor)

This computer has an amd radeon hd 6550d graph with / 3 gb (I think) (which is more than 128 MB recommended)

and the drivers are up to date.

I get the error message "device 0 cannot run this title, no video graphics card supported not detected" and I can't seem to do anything to solve this problem.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Sims3 deluxe/ambitions three times now, with the expansion of ambitions installed so the third time.

I did a lot of other things as suggested in line when I did research but nothing works.

  • Pavilion dv7-4080us: upgrade or replacement for dv7 4080us video graphics card

I want to know if I can upgrade the memory of my HP dv7-4080us graphics card. He did an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1 GB of DDR3 memory with up to 3738 MB total dedicated memory graphics card. What this means? I can put more memory or repalce the card? If so, what card should or can I get?

There is no 'card' you might be imagining. The video is one of the dishes chips soldered to the motherboard. You already have the best video system available for dv7-4000 series of laptops, so there is no way upward to something better.

  • Pavilion-p6-2494ea: graphics card tips

I have a question about my graphics card I would like to update, but do not know if my motherboard will work with her etc, my computer is a Pavilion-p6-2494ea. I'm looking to get a MSI R9 390 Games 8 g graphics card , but I don't know if it will work or I need to get anything else on the computer so that it can manage, or maybe a different model card. As I said this computer might be constomised and work with the best brands of graphics back when I got it in 2013, but it was 3 years and the cards have progressed since then. I'm a gamer and I don't know if this computer is right or if I need to look for something else. Advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated

    @MW_H, welcome to the forum.

There are two important things to consider when buying a video card: 1) the length of the card / 2) the power to carry out.

The measures of the map in your link are as follows:

    Dimensions3.5 inches x 13.75 in. x 10.75 in.

You need to measure the space where the map from the backplate will be installed i/o on the front of the case.  This will allow you to see if it will fit.

The power supply unit (PSU) in the computer is 300W.  You should check the manufacturer's Web site to see how much power the card should work properly.  I love Corsair products.  I recommend at least 500W.  A modular PSU is very good for a small suitcase.  It allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary.  This makes possible better flow of air which is good in a computer game.

  • HP Pavilion dv4-2170us graphics card

Hello guys I have one question though that I got involved me with games now and I bought this laptop

HP Pavilion dv4-2170us about a year ago and now I want to upgrade my graphics card because I can't run games like SECTION 8 PREJUDICE because I'm in the HD graphics which is a really crappy graphics card.

What graphics card I could get for this pc?

I'm trying to keep it under $400 I thank you for you time guys that I enjoyed.

    Hello

It is not really possible to update the graphics card in a notebook the video chip is physically soldered to the motherboard and so for all practical purposes, is not a replaceable component.

    Kind regards

  • HP Pavilion P6-2065UK graphics card problems

    Hello

Have HP Pavilion P6-2065UK, with 8 GB of Ram and have installed the new power supply Corsair CX430 Watt.

When I install the new graphics card Nvidia Geforce GT 630, blank screen appears, you can hear Windows 7 startup screen open, but not the current view.

I spent in mode Bios to confirm the x 16 slot is enabled and that sometimes the PCI Express card is shown. I tried enabling and disabling onboard video in Bios, no joy. Cannot go to Safe Mode.

I also tried to use Google Remote Desktop connect the HP device to another PC so that I can try and see office, but as soon as you turn off the power, the unique necessary 12-digit PIN is reset to zero and I lose the connection.

I am still able to use the onboard video of origin but not the Nvidia card.

Been going on for a while now.

Any help with this would be really appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion 550-153na: graphics card problem

For some reason any graphics card with my PC came looming as an AMD Radeon (TM) R5 M320 rather than a 330 R5.

    You are welcome.

I don't know why CPUID will not recognize some components.  It works very well with my Omen gaming laptop.  It shows the integrated and discrete video card.

  • HP Pavilion p7-1030 graphic card upgrade help

OK, so I have a desktop HP Pavilion p7-1030, and the graphics card is crap, I need to update something much better.

I know that I'll probably need a new power supply too, if anyone knows a good combo?

Also, where can I find the old graphics card and POWER supply in order to remove and replace?

I'm playing BF3, so it must be good.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Zxcvbnm0, welcome to the forum.

According to the specifications of the computer, there is only the embedded video.  It is integrated in the motherboard, so you cannot remove it.  It will be automatically disabled when a discreet card is installed.  Integrated video is never good for video intensive games or other programs.

I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  I recommend at least 500W.  This will give you more choices of video cards.  You must measure the current PSU and compare the measurements to the one you choose.  Normally, I buy my parts from Newegg.

Here is an example of a good food:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139028

I like the graphics cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  I recommend you to stay at 9 "long or less.  This ensures that it will not go in the space provided.

Here is an example of a video card that should work:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814150561

The PSU is where the power cord is connected.  If you do upgrades, it will help mark the wires of the PSU to make sure that you connect them correctly.  The connectors of the motherboard must be labelled, and more, the wires on the new power supply.

  • HP Pavilion 550-232na: graphics card

    Hello

I want to upgrade my graphics card, but I'm not sure what would be compatible for my pc.

    Details of my pc:

    PC: HP Pavilion 550-232na

Processor: intel core i3-6100 3.70 ghz

    RAM: 8 GB

existing card: graphics intel HD 530

    Ironbreaker1, welcome to the forum.

I think that almost any video card will work on your computer.  However, there are two main considerations: 1) the amount of energy needed to run the card properly and 2) the length of the card.

You certainly need to move the power supply (PSU).  The specifications of the computer state that the PSU is internal and 180W.  Most newer video cards require at least 400W to work properly.  Normally, I would recommend a block of at least 500W Power SUPPLY; 600W is even better.

Here's a video card that should work, but it requires 400W of power.

I love the Corsair PSU.  They make quality products at a reasonable price.  The PSU is the backbone of the computer, it is not the place to save money.  This is a power supply that should work for you.  It is modular which allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary.  This more than makes up for the air circulation.  You should check the space provided for the power supply to make sure it will fit.  In addition, make sure that the connectors.
