Desktop HP Pavilion - 400-434: graphics card question

I'm a big gamer, but as much as to identify what I can and cannot not play, I'm just all confused around starting from my graphics card. When I try to find information about it, I pretty much arrived empty. His name is "Intel(r) HD Graphics" and that is it... research all tend to have numbers after that, but is in fact everything he says from the Manager of drivers, dxdiag or in any other way, I tried to understand.

Also, I was wondering about the differences between this and the generic version from Intel's?

Finally, I was told that this PC is ideal for playing games for $400. Through my own research that it is a kind of sounding like it was fake, but I wanted to go ahead and ask the manufacturer.

@SpcOs, welcome to the forum.

Here is the Product Specifications page for the computer.

Also, I was wondering about the differences between this and the generic version from Intel's?  It is very difficult to answer.  HP has their motherboards manufactured according to their own specifications.

The only presence that HP has on this are Admins and Mods. Otherwise, none of us works for HP.  However, it is not accurate to what said you.  The computer is certainly not a gaming computer.  I suggest looking for the system requirements for the games you want to play and comparing them with the specifications.

With the HP Pavilion p6623w, it has an integrated ATI graphics built in. I recently bought a Zotac GeForce gtx 550 ti AMP! Video card and I wanted to install it in the HP System. Unfortunately since I installed it, I had many problems to make same ot games starts. Star Wars: The Old Republic opens the menu and when I click on 'play' it black screens and closed auto itself. The same question comes with League of legends and any demo that I download.

I've updated the drivers as well as other updates that I did to my PC and still no luck, so I'm stuck. I guess it could be my integrated video card?

I can't seem to find a way to disable and exactly how would I have done that?

Please and thanks for the help!

Here are the specifications of your HP p6623w desktop and here are the specs of the ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 550 AMP Ti ! Edition graphics card, you are having problems with. According to the specifications of your computer, your system came with a 250 watt power supply. According to the specifications of the Zotac GTX 550 Ti, it requires a minimum system + 400 watts of power. Unless you have installed a new more powerful PSU, this card will try to draw more power than the PSU will provide.

With regard to the integrated... video card BIOS automatically disables it when it detects a card into the PCIe x 16 slot.

I want to update my graphics card, which is currently AMD Radeon R5-330.  Power supply is 180W.

I would like to know where I can find recommendations for a graphics card that is compatible with windows 10.  I'm not a gamer, but use photoshop and watch DVDs and want to have better quality graphics

    @themacksteruk, welcome to the forum.

You will not be able to upgrade the video card without upgrading the power supply (PSU).  She should be at least 500W.  You must measure the space where the PSU is installed and check to see if you can find one that fits.

HP Pavilion dv4-2170us about a year ago and now I want to upgrade my graphics card because I can't run games like SECTION 8 PREJUDICE because I'm in the HD graphics which is a really crappy graphics card.

What graphics card I could get for this pc?

I'm trying to keep it under $400 I thank you for you time guys that I enjoyed.

    Hello

It is not really possible to update the graphics card in a notebook the video chip is physically soldered to the motherboard and so for all practical purposes, is not a replaceable component.

I just bought a Zotac Gtx 750 ti graphic card, but when I tried to install it in my HP Pavilion h8 - 1260t, its beeps six times and displays the hp screen then it starts. My computer's power supply is rated at 460 watts and the card requires 400. The card says it takes 12V 20A, but food does provide that 15A 12V. Do I need to get a new power supply? Or did I make a mistake and buy a card that is not compatible with my system. In addition, if the card is not compatible, how can I make sure the next card, I have to buy is compatible?

my graphics card has a fan that is not working, and I don't get any signal on my monitor after 20 minutes of start... so I decided to get a new graphics card which is better.

so I want to know what is the max graphics card that I can put in this computer and should I go for the same type (AC express graphics card) or get any type that can work with the computer?

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion Slimline s3632me desktop computer and its card mother M2N61-AR (Acacia). Based on the specifications, this model has a power of 160 watts, a graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GS PCIe x 16 HDMI and DVI - I outputs and integrated nVidia GeForce 6150SE graphics with a VGA output. Note that the discreet graphics card and the built-in graphics card is not usable at the same time.

You need to replace the graphics card NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GS PCIe x 16 with a x 16 low profile PCIe graphics card (the card must have a power system recommend assessment of 160 watts or less). All purchased card that has a higher recommended system power supply requirement will require the purchase of a new power supply, follow the recommendations in cards. Your computer's power supply is not a standard ATX power supply and can be difficult to find.

  • Pavilion P6680D: updated graphics card

I have a HP Pavilion p6680d desktop computer and I was thinking about upgrading my graphics card to an Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 motherboard: Iona-GL8E MS-7613.

    Hello @Kyukyumii,

    Thanks for the quick response!

Unfortunately, I can't make recommendations about these products.  Generally, most of the gaming graphics cards, will have PCI Express 2.0 or higher.  There is always a chance that you will experience reduced performance, based on your hardware.  I hope this helps.

  • HP Pavilion P6-2065UK graphics card problems

    Hello

Have HP Pavilion P6-2065UK, with 8 GB of Ram and have installed the new power supply Corsair CX430 Watt.

When I install the new graphics card Nvidia Geforce GT 630, blank screen appears, you can hear Windows 7 startup screen open, but not the current view.

I spent in mode Bios to confirm the x 16 slot is enabled and that sometimes the PCI Express card is shown. I tried enabling and disabling onboard video in Bios, no joy. Cannot go to Safe Mode.

I also tried to use Google Remote Desktop connect the HP device to another PC so that I can try and see office, but as soon as you turn off the power, the unique necessary 12-digit PIN is reset to zero and I lose the connection.

I am still able to use the onboard video of origin but not the Nvidia card.

Been going on for a while now.

Any help with this would be really appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion p7-1030 graphic card upgrade help

OK, so I have a desktop HP Pavilion p7-1030, and the graphics card is crap, I need to update something much better.

I know that I'll probably need a new power supply too, if anyone knows a good combo?

Also, where can I find the old graphics card and POWER supply in order to remove and replace?

I'm playing BF3, so it must be good.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Zxcvbnm0, welcome to the forum.

According to the specifications of the computer, there is only the embedded video.  It is integrated in the motherboard, so you cannot remove it.  It will be automatically disabled when a discreet card is installed.  Integrated video is never good for video intensive games or other programs.

I like Corsair and OCZ PSU.  I recommend at least 500W.  This will give you more choices of video cards.  You must measure the current PSU and compare the measurements to the one you choose.  Normally, I buy my parts from Newegg.

Here is an example of a good food:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139028

I like the graphics cards XFX, EVGA, Sapphire and PNY in that order.  I recommend you to stay at 9 "long or less.  This ensures that it will not go in the space provided.

Here is an example of a video card that should work:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814150561

The PSU is where the power cord is connected.  If you do upgrades, it will help mark the wires of the PSU to make sure that you connect them correctly.  The connectors of the motherboard must be labelled, and more, the wires on the new power supply.

  • Satellite L505-111 graphics card question.

    Hello world

It is somewhat a noobish question but I'm kinda new to laptops. I bought this laptop Satellite L505-111, and in the specs it says I have ATI mobility Radeon 4650 in the form of graphics card. In any case, it was the main reason I bought the laptop. But when I look at windows (I have Windows 7 64 bit version) care. or through PC Wizard, it tells me I have ATI Mobility radeon 4600 series. Can you tell me if it is ok or why it shows me 4600 series and not of 4650.

    Hey Buddy,

Don t you worry about this, everything is ok with your laptop.

ATI Mobility 4600 series means that all the cards in this series, e. g. 4650 (which you have), 4670 or 4630, etc..

On my desktop it s the same. Here, I have Radeon 4870, but the pilot shows only 4800 series. ;)

  • Pavilion-p6-2494ea: graphics card tips

I have a question about my graphics card I would like to update, but do not know if my motherboard will work with her etc, my computer is a Pavilion-p6-2494ea. I'm looking to get a MSI R9 390 Games 8 g graphics card , but I don't know if it will work or I need to get anything else on the computer so that it can manage, or maybe a different model card. As I said this computer might be constomised and work with the best brands of graphics back when I got it in 2013, but it was 3 years and the cards have progressed since then. I'm a gamer and I don't know if this computer is right or if I need to look for something else. Advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated

    @MW_H, welcome to the forum.

There are two important things to consider when buying a video card: 1) the length of the card / 2) the power to carry out.

The measures of the map in your link are as follows:

    Dimensions3.5 inches x 13.75 in. x 10.75 in.

You need to measure the space where the map from the backplate will be installed i/o on the front of the case.  This will allow you to see if it will fit.

The power supply unit (PSU) in the computer is 300W.  You should check the manufacturer's Web site to see how much power the card should work properly.  I love Corsair products.  I recommend at least 500W.  A modular PSU is very good for a small suitcase.  It allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary.  This makes possible better flow of air which is good in a computer game.

  • HP Pavilion 400-434 Office: intelligent control of hard disk: failure

    Hello

It all started when the computer would go blank right after startup, the HP logo would come upward, then 'auto repair preparation", more... Just empty. After reading the forums online, I did all the possible troubleshooting steps and at the end I did the SMART test... the result was:

    Verification of the processor: past

Intelligent control of hard disk: failure

    Failure ID: RGD7MK-7HV7RC-9XJ16K-60BB03

After obtaining these results, when I turn on the computer, it gives me a blue screen saying: drive SMART 1 error (301) and told me to test once again, that I did and got the same result as above.

Here is some info from the computer:

    Hi there @Brugalgirl

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that your computer does not start successfully, and you found a Smart Drive 301 error code. I'm happy to help you with this.

I checked the ID of the failure, you've posted and verifies that the error. Unfortunately, this means that your hard drive needs to be replaced.  In view of the fact that the system does not boot, it is likely that the hard drive is completely unreadable, but depending on what you have on this subject, it may be worth your while to check with a local computer service shop and see if they can help to recover data from your hard drive.

If your system is relatively new and may be covered by the warranty, or if you wish to fix with HP for the guarantee system, you can call in hotline to make these arrangements. In this case, please use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp and create a folder for your question and contact HP. If you do not live in the United States / Canada, please click on the link below to get contact information for your region.
    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/contact-HP/WW-phone-assist.html

Otherwise you can look at a replacement hard drive yourself. If you have a set of recovery media, then you already have a factory image HP, which allows you to put in place a new hard drive with your original operating system. If is no longer, you have a set or did not have a set of recovery media, so you can see if there are not yet available for your model.

HP computers - get HP recovery disks or HP USB recovery disc

  • Pavilion 23-g010: graphics card

    Hello

I got this All In One to my teen for Christmas.  He says that the graphics card is not as good as his HP Pavilion laptop 2218nr g6.  Is it possible to upgrade the graphics card?

Ok.  The most important to consider things, if the game is intended, is to study what are the games should be played, or can be expected in the future...  Then check what people who play these games have in what the configuration of PC, or check the requirements of game system.  Desktop computers allow updates, usually, but one that meets the requirements of the games you play or you want to play.  As games become more demanding or the user expects more equipment, so it's easier to make changes.  Do not choose a unit that is already at the maximum, but try something in the middle of the beach, so that it has room to grow with requests.  MY HUMBLE OPINION
