I have a PCI-6123 with 32 MB memory card. This is a self-test failure. I think that the problem is a missing component: U98 (peripheral 5pin). I don't know how he got down here in the lab.

I just want to know what it is so I can fix/help out here.

    Thank you!

    Hello Reichenbach,

Unfortunately, U22 is an EEPROM which must be programmed with the firmware of the device, a process that cannot be done by National Instruments.  In order to make this functional device, you will need to set up an RMA number apply to the repaired Board.

  • Questions of hibernation HP m9500f

This system is not that of 5 months and this morning I woke to the fan rotates at a high speed rate and no lights on the front of the computer or the monitor (that works).  I left it last night by turning off the screen and hitting the botton of hibernation on the keyboard and it seems to be coming out of hibernation, but it may not.  Microsoft's web site for Vista hibernation problems mention "this problem occurs because the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) device driver does not correctly update device settings to reflect the new configuration" and the solution is to apply the SP1.  This PC came with SP1 and since it is not yet properly initialize, I couldn't apply it in any case.  I don't know if need more info about the system, so just ask and I'll give.  Any help is appreciated.

I found my problem... I unplugged the PC from the main supply for 10 minutes and then reconnect all power properly.

I left the post as one solution to others.

    Hi Verminaard42,

    Thanks for posting your solution.

Hibernation/standby does not seem to cause problems from time to time, but I wonder if there could be something else. Have you updated your PC for the latest firmware to your PC?

If this isn't the case, please do. It might make you save a lot of headaches and loss of data. Here is a link to the update of the firmware for your Seagate hard drive:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=PV-68339-3 & LC = on & DLC = in & CC = US & lang = to & os = 2100 & Product = 3867491

This update may or may not cure the hibernation issue, but it will definitely help your PC otherwise too.

In addition, this HP Support document on the resolution of the problems of sleep/hibernate can help.

Let us know how it goes.

    Hello akibono

I imagine that you have installed Windows XP Home clean on your laptop and now you want to install all the drivers, tools and utilities. Am I right about that?

In any case, after the installation of Windows XP Home edition you install all the drivers, tools and utilities in the order of the specific facilities. After doing this, everything should be OK and every hardware component will be correctly configured.
Please install all the stuff as follows:
    WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION
    Driver Chipset
    Display driver
    Audio driver
    Driver modem
    Storage Manager
    LAN driver
    Touchpad driver
    WLAN driver
    Toshiba Assist
    Flash Media driver
    Driver webcam
    Hardware configuration
    Controls
    And so on

I hope that everything will be OK.

  • How to change the configuration of the BIOS with NO SIGNAL - to accept the new card PCI - ex

    Compaq Presario SR2030NX

    Product #RJ036AA

    S/N {removed privacy}

    MB: ASUS A8M2N - LA

    Bought: October 2006

OS: Windows XP Media Center 05

    New graphics card: MSI N210-D512D2 graphics card GeForce 210-512 MB, DDR2, PCI-Express 2.0 (x 16), 1 x DVI, 1 x VGA, DirectX 10.1, mono-emplacement

    New: 480w PSU

ERROR:  NO SIGNAL on monitor and can not reset the BIOS to accept the new video card in the PCI slot

PROBLEM: The user reports the monitor suddenly became white with blue lines finally erased.   On start-up, the screen shows "No Signal" then turns off.

    Troubleshooting has included:

Fixing monitor with its cable to another PC - monitor work

Fixing working monitor and cable to the PC - No Signal

There is no boot beeps, fans, lamps, not work cable defeated, no video.   I concluded the embedded video component failed.

Installed the new video PCI - ex card and new power supply 480w and still get NO SIGNAL.   New video card specifications called for a minimum 350w power supply.  The fan on the new video card PCI - ex works.  Search on the HP Support pages indicates that the BIOS should be modified to change the type of PCI slot type in-flight video.  Makes perfect sense to me, sounds like it might work.

How to reset the BIOS when you do not see what you are doing?

I have moved the jumpers to reset the CMOS, but cannot tell if it worked or not.  I tried a couple blind BIOS resets, but I could do this for months.

If I could determine the Version of the BIOS, I might be able to blindly to reset the BIOS.  The Compaq Options of Menu and "BIOS Setup Utility information" web page provides instructions for BIOS version 6 or less and version 7 and greater - menus and access steps are very different.

QUESTIONS:   How to determine the version of the BIOS.  Which key I hit to access the BIOS (F1, F10, esc, Del)?  Which menu I followed to reset the type of video, so how can I save and exit?

    Thanks for any help

    Nick HY,

No, it is defenitely not a replacement yet and I will work with our Web Department who make clearer on our web page.

The development of the new API is pretty well done, but based on your feedback, we are planning to improve compatibility, so you can for example use the old APi 1.6.x and the new APi of 8532 on the same machine, so you can use the old and the new material on this same machine. Which would be important for you?

For the moment we intend not to allow only one type of material on the same machine to save you development time. Let me know what you think.

To clarify the situation today: The InCOM for Devicenet component is not part of LabVIEW. It's just a very simple means of communication with the I/o variables and blocks of function for the MS. The driver should install fine even without installed LV. The error message is quite a Bug on our side, and the solution would be to use the Builder installer LV to create a new installer that can install 2.0.x Incom Dnet driver without having installed Lv.

And today, you should be able to have the 1.6.x both pilot 2.0.x in parallel and use the API 1.6.x with old boards yonce and the variable approach of IO 2.0.x with your new Board of Directors.

I'll keep this post updated as soon as we have a stable Beta available I'll post something.

  • Drivers missing Port Serial PCI and PCI Simple Communications Controller

I have an old Office Thinkcentre. It is a model 9196 and I am running Windows 7 (64 (b), and I get an error for my Serial Port PCI have not installed the drivers. I did a lot of research and found links to drivers in this forum, but they are every year and are now broken links and it seems out of place. Anyone know where I can find the drivers I need to solve this problem? Thank you

Good day and welcome to the community.

Support site has recently gone through a redesign/regeneration.

    Try this: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/desktops-and-all-in-ones/thinkcentre-m-series-desktops/thin...

to find the drivers available and other resources for your machine. I believe that the component drivers missing you see are related to Intel Active Management.

I hope this helps a little.

    Kind regards.

  • PCI-4065 desperately slow

Straight out of the DMM examples. The acquisition rate faster than I can get is about 1 per second reading. PCI? This is not acceptable. I get more quick purchase of a serial device. Someone knows how can I speed things up?

I forgot before but a mode of the LCA of default wait time is 1.5 seconds and the Cycle of Measurmeent DMM will wait for the break-in, and then the opening time. The path is AC coupled and could take a bit of time to settle if the DC component changes.

You can try to reduce the Configuration: Advancedes time property to something more reasonable than your input signal.

  • INSTALLATION OF PCIE-1433

I try to install a PCIe-1433 and I'm not able to get (1) image, and (2) a single camera 0 is available.

I install the Software NI Vision Acquisition on a CD, dated September 2011 that includes NEITHER-IMAQ 4.6.1, NOR-IMAQdx 3.9.1 and NOR-IMAQ1/0 2.5.  I have two cameras Imperx Bobcat 1610 I want to operate simultaneously.  When I run the Configurator of Bobcat, he only found a camera and works as expected for that camera.   To see if there is a problem with one of the cameras, I linked each in 1433 one at a time.  The Bobcat Configurator found two cameras but only when they were connected to the farthest port 1433 of the input trigger.

When I open the peripheral OR-IMAQ able and Automation Explorer tab, I get the following response

    img0:NIPCIe - 1433

    Channel 0: Basler A504K

Which is consistent with the Bobcat Configurator doesn't find just a single camera.

If I click on the Basler A504K, I get a video window with tabs to SNAP GRAB etc.

If I click on the snap-IN or GRAB software component tab, I get the error message can NOT DETECT UNMISTAKABLE VIDEO SOURCE.

The 1433 doesn't seem to be visibly damaged.  I don't know if I have installed the appropriate software or using the MEASUREMENT and AUTOMATION EXPLOER CORRECTLY or have a hardware problem

    Thank you

    FETHIBELFODIL

    fethibelfodil,

You are looking in the PCIe-1430, because it is our only capture card that supports two buses cameralink.  However, be aware that two cameralink cameras must use the basic configuration.

  • Synchronize the clocks of 2 PCI cards for analog inputs with e/s digital reference

I'm trying to synchronize the clocks of reference of 2 PCI cards so that the analog inputs are synchronized. However, my appilcation has also digtial e/s on two cards, and who apparently made the mistake DAQmxErrorResourcesInUseForRoute_Routing. This discussion describes a similar problem, but the solution was to just put the reference clock to the slave device, who had no other tasks running on it, so what mine does.

Is there way I can synchronize the clocks of refernce without interfering with the digital I/o?

    Thank you!

PS: My application is in C++.

The reference clock is really a lower-level component that is shared by all resources on a given device.  All tasks on a given device must use the same reference clock.  So if you use DAQmxSetRefClkSrc for a task, you can use it to set the same value for your other tasks.
