Lenovo TPT2 screen problem, refused the warranty.

I got the thinkpad Tablet 2 in February of this year. He had no problems with it until a few weeks ago, where the screen began to develop horizontal and vertical lines whenever I use the stylus. I thought it is very good, that I just won't use the stylus for now because I really need the Tablet and he was not so great a questions. A few days after that the screen went blank when I turned it on, after it start windows, the Office appear, but now the vertical/horizontal line became a staple on the screen. I called lenovo CS and told him about the situation, that the CS was being perfectly understand and told me to send in for repair. A few days after I send the Tablet, I check my status online and it says "we hold for customer information. I called Lenovo CS again and this time, the person on the phone was very rude telling me that the defect on the screen was cause of physical damage and wanted $750 for the repair. $750 seriously? Where they come to the top with these numbers? A new tablet on Amazon costs just under $ 600 after taxes. We spend a few minutes, arguing that the Tablet has never been abuse/drop/incorrectly and it was certainly vice manufacturing or quality control. This conversation has basically no the case because I believe that Lenovo has never wanted to honor their warranty at first. I came to send it back because in the end there is no way that I have to pay $750 to fix the screen. Someone at - it suggestions as to what can do with the Tablet after I get it back?

Fix it yourself? I had the same problem with the power supply. They wanted $350.00 for a portion of $40.00

  • Lenovo G50-80 - problem with the installation CD of Windows 8

    I used no bootable DVDs. That was my problem. The DVD I got Lenovo have been only Windows 8 drivers and no OS.

    I got a Lenovo Y510P with SLI 750 m for about 1 year and 3 months now. 2 weeks (at the time, that I've upgraded to Windows 10). My laptop is suddenly unable to boot most of the time.

    When I press the power, it hangs on the initial empty screen with no logo pop up. I managed to get it started before, simply by restarting again and again, but it's been 3 days and no luck. He simply stays on a blank screen (no), although the keyboard button and the power light.

    Here are the steps I took to solve problems:
    -> Battery removed, disconnected ca, played "suppression of ephemeral power" now the power button for 60 seconds (did it this several times)

    -> RAM removed, changed slots etc. When there is no RAM, the computer continuously restarts
    -> Deleted HARD drive, reinstalled

    -> Removed 2 GPU. When the 2nd GPU is plugged in, the fan will try and turn from time to time

    -> Connectors disconnected to the wi - fi module

  • Qosmio X 500-fault of screen not covered by the warranty?

    So as said elsewhere the X 500 series has a certain design/manufacturing fault that allows a "shadow" be visible on the entire length of the screen at the height of the taskbar (so don't not visible in windows, but jobs is full screen, like movies, just terrible).

    The attitude of Toshiba is that it is a "limitation of the technology" and not covered by the warranty (which I think is very poor on their part).

    My query is why?

    Given their other 18.4 "models (P500 for example) doesn't seem to have this obvious anomaly, and nor other brands models 18". If it was a limitation of the technology like Toshiba said so surely other models/brands that X 500 would have this anomaly?

    Personally, I think the excuse of "limitation of technology" is just a COP on part Toshibas who do not want to solve the problem on EACH item, I'm sure that the next model (x 600? whatever) will miraculously not the issue and those of us who have decided on Toshiba will continue to say "too bad".

    I searched the net looking for x 500 no descriptions of this "limitation" as we should expect a "limitation of technology" to be as widely reported as their other favorite, the dead pixel but found nothing. It seems this limitation of effects incredibly alone technology Toshiba X 500? Toshiba must think we're gullible.

    My fault however maybe done research, can any that shed light on why only the X 500 has such a terrible mistake and no other models?

    It is user forum and I do not think that any of us has access to s secrets Toshiba ;) to see what type of screens are used on the Qosmio X 500.

    I don't know if Qosmio x 500 has new generation screens, but I don't know that Toshiba uses better technology for this model of laptop high-end.
    In the past all Qosmio notebooks are best of the best in all aspects, materials, software and many other software programs.

    Just, I hope not, I am sure, that Toshiba will continue this philosophy for Qosmio range and seems best proof new Qosmio F60.
    I like it a lot but leys see how much it will cost.

    I have a problem with the Thinkpad X 230. After a recent update of Windows 7 (64-bit), the screen resolution is set to 800 x 600 and brightness to the minimum. FN + F8/F9 does not work. The brightness is uncontrolled. I had to restore the system before the update.

    According to the request, we understand that you are facing problem with the display resolution on your ThinkPad X 230.

    If you have updated the drivers from Windows update, sometimes this kind of problem occurs with windows generic drivers for cause of driver incompatibility, suggest always update drivers only via the ThinkVantage System Update utility. Update only the application of Microsoft Windows Update.

    You can also manually download the drivers from the Lenovo support site.

    The service center does not charge me anything to replace it.

    It took approximately 3 business days, total 6 days including weekends.

  • Major problem with the touch screen after upgrade Windows 10

    I bought a Lenovo Yoga 3 14 "a few weeks ago and upgraded to Windows 10 as soon as I got it.

    Since I started using it, the touchscreen will be occaisionally go "crazy". Crazy is the best way I can describe it because it will start input touch by ignoring or doing his own random touch input on the screen. Nothing the laptop will start to switch between windows and opening and closing of the things.

    This laptop is not running Windows 8.1 long enough for me to know if she has had this problem before the upgrade.

    Any ideas?

    Remove the hard drive and start the system in the BIOS if the BIOS boot system then it might be the problem with the RAM if the problem persists it could be the problem with the motherboard. Please reply with the result.

    This problem is a random problem but tends to happen when I'm on a shoot and made me miss nice photos.  This often happens with the objective of SEL55210 that I'm trying to focus on a topic, the viewfinder light goes white screen, then completely dark and then allow me to frame and the development of the subject.  However, on occasion he does not work and then finally I get a message in the viewfinder, saying the lens can be recognized and I need to be tied to the body.  At the beginning it has happened with the SEL55210, but once it happened with the 16-50 mm kit lens.
