  I have a Lenovo Y580 and I had a few questions about the physical limits, since they are not where under the technical specifications of the laptop (unless I'm wrong or overlooking something).

  First of all, I want to know if I'm allowed to upgrade the RAM as well install a mSATA drive without voiding the warranty?

  Secondly, I was wondering if there is a way to determine if the port mSATA is 6 Gbps or 3 Gbps.

  Third, how can I find the limit of the RAM of the machine. I was hoping to put 32 gb of RAM, but if it only holds 16 GB, I wouldn't mind that either.

I don't know how you're using your laptop, but keep in mind that most of the users don't need more than 8 GB of RAM. There is no gain in addition large amount of RAM unless you actually use the large amounts of RAM.

  Hello world! I just bought a new laptop of Lenovo Y580 leave the Lenovo Web site. It was delivered to my house and there is no problem. I opened it to the top, and everything was great! However, when I used the card of NVIDIA GTX 660 m to play a game, I had little weird pixel of red/blue/green flashes and finally the game I'd play would break. I then received a message saying: "Display Driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 295.55 stopped responding and has successfully recovered." This product whenever I use the NVIDIA graphics and its really irritating me. Graphics Intel HD, 4000 works perfectly fine however. Please help me guys! Thank you very much!

  Just got my refurbished Lenovo Y580 model in. It supposed to come with SSD of 32 GB and 1 TB hdd ordinary. But my disk manager partition C: WINDOWS7_OS with 29.7 GB maximum and D: LENOVO with 29.2 GB maximum. Please help, thanks

  Thanks for posting. To be honest, that is not a specific type of screwdriver I recommend you buy to open the machine. Personally the time machine, that I personally use one ' ' Phillips type screw of the standard precision screws drivers collection 6 pieces I have. However, if I tried a screwdriver with a magnetic head. That really helped get the machine back together.

• Optical problem Lenovo Y580

  Hi there everyone,

  So I'll be quick on my problem to go straight to the point. I installed Windows 8 to Dreamspark to try to update my system, may be faster. After the installation of the OS, I had problems after problems, including performance was extremely terrible!

  So I used my restore DVD to return to Windows 7 Pro. Now, I've updated all my drivers Lenovo Web sites and Intel, that not all drivers Lenovo has seemed to work.

  I never noticed before, but my light optical (digital sound, the red one on the side 3.5 mm plug right hand) is still on. IM pretty good with computers, but nothing that I don't seem to turn it off. Is it supposed to be on? Seems rather pointless if its still on.

  I guess I'm looking for assistance on this topic. I tried to disable the hardware, change of drivers... Ideas now. Any help is appreciated.

  I managed to get the drivers to work. I was about to try to install the drivers manually, but then I got the idea to try the XP drivers. BAM, they worked. I have no idea why XP drivers worked, but the pilots of 7 or 8 do not have.

  I've got a S30 of work I upgraded successfully to Win7 64-bit Win10 64 bit. Everything works fine, EXCEPT the companion of Lenovo. Yet, I also have a Yoga S1 which raised Win8 to 10, and it works perfectly fine.

  I installed the following:

  Lenovo 3.0.29.0 settings

  Lenovo 3.0.20.0 companion

  Foundation of system Lenovo 1.0.044.00 Interface

  I'm having this problem where the original race seems to be a delay and creates a straight line at the beginning of each stroke. I recently bought a year of all programs on the Cloud service creative in the hope that I could use CC animate particularly for animation, so that has been incredibly frustrating to treat. This problem does not appear to me in Photoshop CC.

  

  As you can see in the picture above, it is very visible, especially at larger angles. This happens with all the tools to animate CC, much as in the previous case, I was using the Brush tool.

  I use settings/default preferences in CC to animate and have only changed the layout of the workspace to 'Host', although this change does not appear to have any effect on the problem. I completely wiped my computer and installed Windows 10 Pro (this problem before in Windows 8), and the issue has not been resolved.

  Animate CC 2015.2 (Build 15.2.1.95) with default preferences.

  Using a Surface Pro 2 with a processor Intel Core i5-4300U.

  I tried:

  As an administrator
  Reinstall the drivers

  Disable the touchpad and writing Board Service

  Display on or off timing of the ppp settings high (although my display settings are 100%).

  Priority passage of superior service, etc.

  Disabled flips and hold action in the pen Options.

  Change of smoothing, pen pressure, tilt and various other options within the CC to animate.

  I recently purchased the Lenovo Z50 - 70 (i7, GT 840 M 4 GB, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB + 8 SSD cache)

  I use it as stationary with the battery removed. I have no intention to use it with the battery in the future. Should I have the Manager of energy for anything? Four power settings ready to use it seem to only change the volume of my fan. Only with the saver of energy-mode the volume is OK. Even in the 45 degrees Celsius, the fan accelerates quite much and varies up and down annoyingly. Can't even imagine how it would sound if I used the laptop to the games... I noticed one thing though, is that the Module Windows Installer Worker Aspire sometimes closer to 30% of the processor. Then the fan accelerates really, and starts to whistle loudly. And once I tried to transfer and convert video files to my phone and windows of copyright - thing almost killed my laptop. The fan continuously at full speed, I had to cancel the transfer.

  The Lenovo so-called system update does not work with the laptop? It basically says that my phone is not taken in charge.

  I have not seen all messages from clients on the z50 anywhere. Makes me wonder someone even at - it still? Or have watched him in all the wrong places?

  It seems that my hard drive is in very poor condition. I can't start or do something with it.

  Partitions 1, 3 and 4 are readable using the partition 2 (partition Windows), command prompt (890 ~ GB) is not readable. CHKDSK has not helped either. His State of health is red.
