When I'm in the wordpad my j, k, l are all numbers how do this off

(a) since when are you facing this problem? Have you you can all changes to the computer before it happened?
(b) this only happens with WordPad?
(c) what type of keyboard you use? Who is the manufacture of the computer?
You can try things:
O examine your keyboard for any accumulation of dust, dirt, liquids or other particles that could be causing the keys to type characters.
O clear the function key (FN) on the keyboard, make sure that the function key led turns off.
O check if your number lock (NumLock) key is enabled. If so, the key to disengage.
Ø confirmation that your keyboard is set to the language English.
1. open regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking clock, language, and region, and then clicking regional and Language Options.
2. click on the keyboards and languages tab and then click on change keyboards.
Make sure that the keyboard is set to the English language.
O connect the keyboard to a different computer. If the keyboard works correctly on another computer, the port to which the keyboard was connected on the original computer may be damaged. If this is the case, contact your computer manufacturer to find out how to repair or replace the damaged port.
Ø If the keyboard does not work on another computer, the keyboard may be damaged. If this is the case, and the warranty on the keyboard is still valid, you can exchange the defective keyboard for a new keyboard.

problem with the vista updates, dates back to December 2008
In December 2008, I had remote access, now have broadband services. have family vista premium with service pack 1, the problem started when I tried to install the December 2008 windows updates. checked all updates essential etc. then let problem execution, not finished, then computer rebooted as it always does, is gone on the screen, then rebooted, saw the windows bar downstairs and then (as would normally go to LOG IN) it went to black screen and then off, the thing windows tried to start and check the disc and other programs of repair but kept saying could not start. Looked at this time comes to say has encountered an unknown error and could not fix, end was to use the F keys as an administrator login and do a system restore to 5 December and then worked well, have run the check disk and defrag and virus scans etc... now, my pc works fine, but I have not installed updates since December 2008, as know that it will happen if I do. However, I want to keep my vista up-to-date. I think that may be corruptions in the updates in a temporary folder somewhere, but don't know where it is. is - it there anyway to remove the files that can be corrupted or is there another solution, looked everywhere for answers in the forums and helpdesk there were several other people in the same question. My computer work fine, but I wonder if I will ever be able to install an update again. I have to be clear that I can run windows update without issue, it lists later and everything but when it's this thing to reboot it goes back to square one as shown above. Something in the updates is messing up my system and even widows classes as unknown error.

Hi guys, can someone help me? I have problem with my vista and wer of the pc win 7, when it is plugged in my users login with their network cables, they enter their username and password, enter the password swithches then screen welcom and immediately afterword the user will get a black screen with pointer mouse only... I tried many patches to that found on google but none of them is a permanent solution.

Are you logged on as administrator? See the links I posted above that tell you how to fix that.
BTW do not have more than one antivirus on the system at once, even if not used as they
always will interfere with each other. Be sure to use the removal of the machine tools and/or special
instructions or a lot let problem causing remains.=======================================

Whenever I start my old Toshiba laptop computer for 3 years, I get this message: host of Catalyst Control Center has stopped working and then nothing. I check the current update drivers says it all day, but I went on this site called Driver Whiz and he says I'm wrong 8 things with my computer Says: Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller... out of date... then 2 ATI HDMI Audio... updated... then system devices said ATI 1/0 5 MB... updated... communication processor and then disconnected devices : 4 JMB38X MS Host peripheral COntroller is disconnected, but they want 50 buck for them to fix it when I downloaded what I thought was that it was free so now it's on my computer... I am running Iolo System Mechanic 11 on my machine for detection of spyware, malware, viruses and been with them for 5 years and this has NEVER happened since I was with them. Try to clean the files from my external hard drive and the Mac and put on iCloud in order to free up space. But, iCloud repeat that it cannot transfer files because there is not enough space. But when I check the info it says I still have over 180 GB of storage space... I want to only 130GB of transfer in iCloud. Why won't it let me?

Not sure if you're aware but iCloud is mainly designed for the synchronization of data between devices and not as a cloud storage location only. If you have iCloud drive turned on in your Mac and you then attempt to move 130GB of an external hard drive to iCloud, it will automatically also an attempt of placement than 130 GB as a local copy on your Mac (use the menu go to Finder > iCloud drive to access the local copy).
