Libretto U100 battery - I can remove it in a supply network

If I remember correctly, my old CT70 required the presence of the battery to work at all. This will be the same with the new U100? I would like to remove the battery when you work on food, to extend the life of the battery.

Hello, Arthur

As far as I know all cell phones work with the power supply can provide if the battery is removed. It is possible that your old book has some problem with electronic control gear.

In any case, you can remove the battery and use just power running. I sometimes do with my Satellite P20 for the same reason.

Good bye

    Hello

Well, as I know the 100U booklet uses a Mini-RGB port to connect an external video monitor.

  • The problem with the battery on the Libretto U100

    Hello.

The problem is the following: shortly after the start of the loading of the battery starts squeaking (or whistle, subtle signals coming from somewhere inside the laptop or battery) and after a while, stop the load! Windows displays a message, "Battery" unknown, to continue the exercises, you must remove and insert again the battery and so 5 times until the load is complete. And the absence of such an accusation, not more than 1 hour and 45 minutes.

    That's happened?

I think that this little piece of Tech is a bit old...
and has been used for a period of time to stay...

the battery disappeared, some cells can't hold not more fresh...
therefor the voltage misscounted, leads to the "unrecognized".

  • How can I configure Libretto U100 internal wifi to connect to Linksys

I Libretto U100, and I am not able to connect or to search or connect to the WiFi network. I use Linksys Wireless-G (ADSL router modem switch with 4 ports).

    Thank you
    MShamsan

Sorry to ask, but have you been able to connect any other laptops in this Linksys router? and your laptop sees other wireless devices?

The booklet is a card WiFi B/G, so there is no reason why it would not connect?

Is your Linksys in a default configuration? because if it's Setup, with say the hidden SSID and encryption defined, there is no way you will connect to it unless you manually set the booklet.

    More information would be useful

  • Libretto U100 - Bluetooth to connect with the new Samsung mobile

Just bought 2 new machines: GSM Libretto U100, Samsung E720 Bluetooth equipped both. Uploaded everything first the last battery BT (3.2) using the wizard, my phone has been detected correctly and the first time that he asked a key access code, which i left blank. The second time I tried to connect, he asked no more code. The following screens will appear:
    1. the search for BT - Samsung E720 device detected!
    2. now connect to your BT device
    3. the local device connects to the remote service, please wait...
And now, you can wait for hours because the program has stopped responding.
My mobile has been configured for detectable and BT has been activated.
I read the manual of the phone, but these are the only parameters of BT. The other way around, when I leave my phone to a BT device research, he found nothing.

Thank you very much for making my two toys to talk to eachother!
    Ben.

    Hi Ben

It's not easy to tell what the problem is but as far as I know, you must set the password for pairing.
I recommend you to remove the mobile phone the Bluetooth Manager and re - install the mobile phone settings.
Try to set the password for pairing. In addition, see the following steps:

    1. check if the laptop antenna switch is on.
    2. press the + - key combination to activate the Bluetooth antenna.
If your laptop is integrated WLAN and Bluetooth.
3 start the Bluetooth of the TOSHIBA-> folder settings program Bluetooth to turn on the Bluetooth module. Bluetooth works if you see a blue antenna with a bright blue border of the bar on your screen. Also a blue antenna icon with the name Bluetooth information interchange will appear on the desktop.
    4. check that your Bluetooth hardware is properly installed.

    Good bye

  • Cards SDHC in Libretto U100

Hi I have just become the proud owner of a Libretto U100. I have a number of SDHC cards 4 GB/8 GB/16 GB. These do not seem to be recognized by the SD card reader in the U100. I installed Microsoft Hotfix:
WindowsXP-KB934428-v3 - x 86 and cards have been seen by the U100, but when the card is accessible the U100 freezes and I have to restart. If I leave the card in the U100 boots then to a black screen, requiring a hard reboot with the SD card removed.

I have installed Windows XP Service Pack 3, but still the same problem occurs. Can it be fixed with a patch software or is the card reader SD of Libretto U100 limited to 2 GB SD cards.

    Thank you very much

    Spymaster

    Hi mate,

I checked several sites and couldn t find all the bus information that I know, there should be an SDHC controller version 1.2 in this machine (which is very unusual) and I don't know if the controller can manage cards over 2 GB.

So, I guess the reader can simply handle cards up to 2 GB.

    Welcome them

P.S.: You can try a BIOS update but I don't know if that would solve anything

  • Libretto U100: Light IN DC glow orange

A few days ago I bought a new Libretto U100, everything works fine without problems.

But after that the battery has been charged, and I disconnect the computer from the domain controller, I can see the bright orange DC IN system indicator, why?

The user manual says nothing about all the lights when you are not using the computer?

    Hello

Are you sure that it is a LED 400 p?
I know that if the output of adapters is abnormal or if power outages, this indicator flashes in orange.

  • Qosmio X 300 - what pre-installed software can remove

I need to know what I can remove it and which must remain about bloatware! I would like to run the least possible, this is used for video and audio live and does not play videos with microsoft media waste!

I would also like to know why 90% of the time that processor is pegged at 1.5 GHz and not running at 2.4 GHz, appropriately!

I changed all of the properties that I can find which change cpu clock settings but it still stops back! It's embarrassing as I wanted a portable 1.5GHz, that I bought it for £50!

Besides the fact that it is slowing down its ok! someone Tosh get in touch as soon as possible!

I also like a new installation and remove some of the bloatware after execution of a recovery, but at least the additional software can be removed :)

Everything that is not specific Toshiba can be deleted, such as Google Desktop, Norton/McAfee.

Look in Control Panel of-> features of the program and remove the software, you don't want to. But do not touch the software that starts with "Toshiba." Toshiba positions are essential for the system and not to "pump up" Windows.

All CPU Core2Duo have power saving features (speed Stepping) that lower the speed of the CPU when the processor is idle. This saves battery power and keeps the laptop cool and can even extend the life of the CPU. He works automatically up to 2.4 GHz when additional speed is needed. Even desktop PC it these days, there is nothing to worry.

    Hello

It all depends on the available ports.
To my knowledge the U100 supports a Mini VGA Port and an adapter was supplied with the laptop.

In your case I am looking for a cable that is capable of connecting a mini VGA port with a port VGA (RGB) common, which is probably available on your TV

I reinstalled the OS XP pro SP2 recovery disc and SD card reader worked fine. However as soon as I've updated all the software to SP3 the problem comes back.

It's strange, but have you tried to update the BIOS? You can find it on the Toshiba site:

  • Libretto U100 memory upgrade (2 GB, part II)

I tried to respond to the http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=39592&tstart=0 thread, but it is blocked? Srange.

I had a glance my U100 Hardware information and there is certainly 1 x 1 GB memory available, so no mem edge.

    Hello

I found the same info. Libretto U100 has no memory on board and did a RAM slot only.
This little book can handle with max 1 GB of RAM.
If you are already using the maximum RAM supported by Libretto U100.

  • Libretto U100 2 GB memory upgrade?

On the librettoworld.com forum (http://forum.librettoworld.com/u-model/maximum-ram-capacity-t31.html) there is a debate as to the maximum capacity of ram of the Libretto U100.

According to the specifications of the U100, 1 x 1 GB is the maximum. According to intel, the maximum value of the 855GME chipset (http://www.intel.com/Products/Notebook/Chipsets/855GME/855GME-overview.htm) is 2 GB.

So, can I use a single 2 GB module in my U100, or 2 GB for memory 2 slots or something?

    Hello

Maybe you need to download the user manual and need to check.

    The user manual says:
The slot accepts the module of RAM of 256 MB, 512 MB and 1 GB for a maximum of 1280 MB of memory.

You know that 256 MB of RAM is installed on the motherboard than the internal memory and can not be deleted.
As a location is available and you can use only one memory card!

  • Upgrade the hard drive in the Libretto U100 to SSD drive

Anyone who undertakes an upgrade of the hard drive in a Libretto U100 to a SSD? This would surely greatly improve performance. What size is the hard drive in the U100 and which connector is used to connect the drive? Can anyone tell if this mod is possible?

    Spymaster

So, I have a machine with an SSD (Tecra M5) and it works like a charm. Unfortunately, the discs are too expensive at the moment but you can benefit from a real performance.

Regarding your question: should be possible. You have a 1.8 inch drive "installed and there are SSDS which have almost the same form factor. Usually the U100 was delivered with MK6006GAH or MK3006GAL disks.

Here´s a site that might help, given that the reader has the same connector as the disc in your computer: http://www.dvnation.com/microatapics.html

Just check it out and I hope you can use my index research on SSDS... :)
