It won't work anymore.
I am very happy to run a Hyper-v virtual machine, but what about a license valid for Windows XP?You will need to provide your own Windows XP license if you want to use in Hyper-V. You must ensure that your processor supports high level address translation. The main reason that I paid extra for Windows 7 Pro on Home Premium must have a licensed version of XP in Windows XP mode. If I want to run a machine virtual Hyper-v that I can use the license I paid for the XP VM in Windows 7 Pro or I have to go out and buy a license for XP?If you have your own Windows XP Professional license, you can use it in Hyper-V or install it in a solution of alternative virtualization like VMWare or Virtual Box.

I want to use Windows 10 (for games) on my 2013 MacBook Air (13 ", 128GB flash, 1.3 GHz Intel i5, 4 GB of RAM), but I want to install it on my external hard drive because I am almost out of space SSD (34 GB remaining), and I know how large windows is. I have an external 1 TB harddrive that I use for my backups Time Machine, and I was wondering if I could transfer my copy of Windows hard disk external and implemented via Boot Camp. Is there a way to partition my drive so that my backup and Windows can both be there? And is there a way to trick Windows in race (start) from the external hard drive?
Lol as the second partition on the boot volume. None of the other partitions will be allowed thereafter.

Original title: media library
I have a HP M7330 Media Center with a dead MB machine. Changed the MB & learned, too late, "Mo tattoo" as fact by HP & cannot use the recovery partition to reinstall. I'm looking for a way to get a copy of Windows Media Center 2005 french as I have a valid license key for a version of XP MC, this license does not work with my XP Pro drive & my better half - would like to get this machine in order for the moment.
Thanks for any help before the machine answers my sledgehammer.

Hello
Windows XP Media Center is available for OEM only and if you don't have a motherboard the OEM valid, it will not activate.
The only option would be to get a newer version of Windows if your system supports or get an OEM motherboard (HP) that you can use the recovery on.
You can see this article if you want to upgrade to Windows 7.

where can I get a free copy of windows vista edition Home premium? I tried to restore my laptop without success. I think I need a copy of the installation disc so that I can reinstall it with my current product key
Hello
There's a photo guide based on the recovery of your model here...
http://www.Sony-Asia.com/support/tutorial/381906/product/VGN-fz18g
If you cannot use this method because what did your friend, your options are...
- Pay Sony for media recovery
- A base Windows installation followed by installing specific Sony drivers and software from their Web site.
If you walk down the road of the latter, I would say that, if possible, before you begin reinstalling Windows you download at least the Ethernet drivers and wireless and save in, for example, a USB key. Start your drivers to search for them (and other) here...
http://www.Sony-Asia.com/support/product/VGN-fz18g/FAQ
.. everything will be difficult to download if drivers that allow access to the internet are not native to a new installation of Windows.
Your principled stand against Sony charges for media recovery is, in my opinion, wrong. As I already said twice...
If Sony did not provide recovery media that they have provided the means to create them
If you lost or do not burn them and messed up your recovery partition, it's not for lack of Sony.
My serious recommendation is to accept a fee of Sony for the recovery media. It will make life much simpler for you. For this reason alone, it is probably useful tax, especially considering that you're obviously not a user advanced. Otherwise, why ask the help of a friend and ask for help on this forum?
I suspect that the links I've seen on this website are actually only valid for Windows 7 media images. If you do not buy the recovery media and go with an iso image download Vista Home Premium, I have to warn about the following...
- The legality of this is, at best, questionable
- If it's not genuine Microsoft media you might end by in an even bigger mess (if it works at all)
Tricky

I bought a copy of Halo 2 for Windows Vista drive during the Christmas holidays and after that I installed the game, valid and registered the product key with the installation program, I load the game to connect to Games for Windows Live and he informs me that "your product key invalid. It seems that through my research on the Internet, I have to request a new key to use my game. I called Microsoft Technical Support, and told me to come here to get answers on how to get a new product key. Apparently Microsoft Engineers could give me a new key from what the woman for Microsoft said.EDIT: I received a reference number for Microsoft colleagues to use to search for my problem:121229016843033

all of a sudden I'm getting "this copy of Windows is not genuine" had this copy of Vista for years
I did no change that I know, I didn't run Windows updates, but all of a sudden, I get the black background on the desktop. I tried a system restore, but he said "he has failed." I keep getting guests to activate my copy of Windows. My PC is 6 years old, so I have no idea how to activate it. What can I do? I have Norton Antivirus, made available by the service provider Comcast.
Any suggestionsYour installation is a forgery - the installed key is a Hewlett-Packard computer, while yours is a motherboard ASUS retail.
The motherboard does not the SLIC table in BIOS to activate a key of ASUS.
Where she acquired this machine?
Is there a COA sticker on the case? -If Yes, for which version and edition of Windows is valid? If this isn't the case, you have the package licnese Windows of retail, including disks and the case and the key?
It is unusual for one such facility last this long without discovery - you have recently made the machine for service or had a friend to do some work on it?

Screen reads Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 this copy of windows is not genuine.
I had this for 4 years and no computer has ever seen this. I'm on anyway by clicking on "Activate later."
All the 'Help' forums I see suggest retype the product key. The sticker on my computer has a series of 20 characters of 5 letters and then 15 numbers without dashes or breaks.
When I retype it, on the second character (letter) he stops because the field says "invalid character": he wants a number when my product has letters.
In the system when I go to start. Computer. Properties of the system. He also says that I need to activate and has a product ID number with numbers and letters (5 numbers-3 letters-7 digit numbers 5) - but that doesn't work either. I don't know what product key to use because the two seem invalid now or my computer does not allow me to type the right pair...
so far.
All the advice give me links that do not work, such as:link does NOT-work window starts then disappearshttp://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=52012 this does NOT work either...Help!
Because my computer is more than 3, I can not yet ask questions by phone. Each application number for my service code that crashes then upwards on me are not covered...
Thanks for any help-i'm mystified as to how this could happen right now. I have not downloaded new programs recently...
I'm afraid to try to uninstall because I don't want to lose my itunes or personal files...
I guess I need to just unplug and get a flashlight, because I easily see not no sticker on my computer with that type of number... it seems crazy that the number is not available otherwise.
If the worst comes to the worst and you have a vista OS preinstalled, Dell, HP or whatever, you do not say, contact the manufacturer of your machine and ask them to send you a set of vista recovery disc and reinstall the operating system to how you bought your machine
normally, these recovery disks do not require an input key product on your part
and they do it for a nominal cost of $
________________________________________________________
also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence
and the same thing applies to that too; No product key entry required by you

I picked up my installation disc and everything, only to find out that someone stole completely he reapply. I am unsure weather or not it is enabled or whatever it is. I tried to call Microsoft technical support and they said to go to the retailer I bought since then, but the retailer in question no longer exists. I'm just screwed?
Thanks for your help!

Need to download & install a new copy of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit for strongly modified pc OEM
Original of the hard drive has crashed, please download & install a new copy of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on new SSD. I updated day/has replaced most of the OEM parts to 4 + years except for the motherboard, power supply, & tour. I don't have the old parts, sort of recovery disk installs not successfully because of all the improvements. Have drivers for devices newer than all existing parts on a USB ready when necessary. OEM is telling me to go up the PC with its original components to make it work, and I really don't need all the unnecessary software OEM includes in their recovery disk. Microsoft Download site does not allow me to download from a pc OEM product key. How to solve this? I'm always in the respect of the Windows license agreement, so I don't have to pay for it. Please advise, thank you
For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.
It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.
Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

When I bought my laptop, it came with windows xp. I found that there was a lot of programs that were not compatible with xp, so I asked microsoft one say upgrade to windows 7 to upgrade my system. Everything worked fine until about 3 months ago when I kept getting a message on my screen that says that my copy of windows 7 is not genuine. I tried all the tools on the microsoft Web site to solve this problem, but nothing has worked. Finally, I used the diagnostic tool to verify I checked that I put in the activation code is right, what is causing me to pass this message and what I can do to correct that only cost me an arm and a leg? Thank you for your help.

Hello. A week ago, my phone displays a message saying that my Windows is not genuine. I bought the brand new laptop and I installed win7, it was all working fine so far. At first, I thought it was just a bug, so I tried to update, but the updates do not install. I saw in some discussion above to check under my laptop for a joint, but it disappeared and I can't read the number to legitimize my copy of Windows. It also displays a message in the lower right corner indicating "Windows 7 Build 7601, the copy of Windows is not genuine." This question annoys me because it slows down my laptop already slow, and I can't work normally like this. Help, please.
EDIT: I'm not sure how to find the Diagnostic report that is often required to determine the problem, so no instructions would be useful.
EDIT 2: I forgot to mention that I've scanned with 3 different anti-virus, I think they have removed all the malicious files, I had, which was maybe 2 files of average risk. Scanned with Norton, ESET and Kaspersky.Code of Validation caching online: 0xc004c4ab
