    2. I intend to migrate to ise 2.1 (lisences wireless and wireless upgrate end of sale) what can we do?

If you have 1.2 upgrade to any higher version then licenses gets upgrade automatically.

Otherwise any costs re/install-image, need to install mobility and upgrade license.

You must contact the licensing team, get your license has changed with mobility and the upgrade of mobility as upgrade Wireless / Wireless does not work on versions 1.3 and above.

Mobility and mobility upgrade licenses cannot coexist on a node of Cisco Administration at Base of, Plus, or licenses of the Apex.

  • vCenter license migration.

    Hi all

I'm n process of installing a new server vCenter and DB. Currently I have a vCenter 5.0 with Sql Express. I want to install new 5.5 vCenter as there is a problem with the Windows operating system. Can anyone provide steps on the migration of the current 5.0 vCenter vCenter license to new vCenter 5.5. And not taking a full backup of the current comics and migration to the new full DB will give me same old vCenter inventory?

    Kind regards

    Vikram kumar

You must first migrate the database to db express to Full SQL 2008 DB. The steps are lower in the article.

VMware KB: Migrating the database from the SQL Express vCenter server to full SQL Server

-Deploy the new operating system and give the same IP address and host name you use for the old operating system.

-Take the backup of the more secure base for located.

-Take SSL certificate to the top of the old C:\ProgramData\VMware\VirtualCenter Server\SSL Server

-Create the system DSN proper connections on the new host to vCenter server. For more information, see displaying and editing of the database server to vCenter Server installation fails with ODBC and DSN errors (1003928).

-If the new VirtualCenter server using the same hostname and IP address, SSL certificates can be copied to the new server to eliminate the need to reconnect the ESX and ESXi hosts.

-To copy the VirtualCenter Server SSL certificates:

    1. Create this folder structure on the new server:
    2. C:\ProgramData\VMware\VirtualCenter Server\SSL

-To copy the VirtualCenter Server SSL certificates:

-Copy these files from the server, VirtualCenter of origin to the new server, while preserving the folder structure:

    • VirtualCenter Server\SSL\rui.key C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware
    • VirtualCenter Server\SSL\rui.pfx C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware
    • VirtualCenter Server\SSL\rui.crt C:\ProgramData\VMware\VMware

-Launch Virtual center 5.5 installation see the installation guide for 5.5

-When you are prompted, select use existing databaseand provide the correct credentials for the database.

-When you are prompted, select this option to not reset the database to keep all your inventory data.

-Restart the computer after the installation is complete.

  • VCS HW license VM migration

We recently bought 4 x LIC-VVCS-E-M-PAK and 4 x LIC-VVCS-C-M-PAK so that we can migrate all our calls licenses from VCS HW devices to virtual machines, but when I go to buy one of the PAKs I got for the VCS - C, is that display the following information available:

        LIC-VVCS-C-M-PAK 1
        LIC-VCSE-100 1
        LIC-VCS-GW

    1

Shouldn't it allows me to enter the serial number of a device from HW to migrate, then give me licenses relevant call too?  Has anyone else had experience migration licenses HW to VM that might help us with that?

    Hello Nick.

Please mention the discussion below, you will need to send a certain group with Cisco to process the query to rehost the option unit to the virtual computer buttons.  I am sad to say that it is not no matter how automatic background process that does this when you buy a migration for any product, it is all the manuals and done by the client most of the time.

I am experiencing this when I try to use Windows Media Player (so recent, but not easy to find the version number) to play a .wma file that I've transferred from vinyl years ago.  My browser isn't FireFox, Netscape.

I drag the file from Windows Explorer to the playlist in Windows Media Player, and a Web page comes up (http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/pdrm/en/welcome.asp?challenge=AAEAATMvJkIGMMWfrmgMxKUeJkQMlzddByxvhfASAwJeI7q50r * BSeNHGXSEmuEa3z9B8i4S!) Bebc75l2lX3gVmq5Na & DRMVer = 1. "& embedded = false).  The page says:

    -------------------------------------

A license is required to play this file

The file you are trying to play was ripped (copied) from an audio CD.

During the extraction process, the file was "protected". This limits the number of computers on which the file can be read.

To read the file on this computer, you must download a license (a process called "license migration"). A license is an electronic key that allows to "unlock" a protected file and read it.

To download a license for this file, click download the license .

    [Button: download license]

    .. then by some Notes.

    -------------------------------------

When I click on the button, I get a dialog box saying «Netscape browser no not the Microsoft windows media services plug-ins to allow the download of license to play music»

    .. who's actually a dead-end.  I tried the FireFox plug-ins, but it was a waste of time.

It's annoying, because my vinyl transfer was fair use of album, and my time is precious to me.

    -Eric

SOLUTION: Is annoying, but switch to Internet Explorer as default browser and go through the procedure described above.  When I did, he received the license, which enabled Windows Media Player play all .wma files in the directory.  (It could be worse - the software could have go me through the process for each file separately.) Other players are still unable to read the files and it's still a nuisance.

  • Migration of VCS (VM device)

    Hello

Is there an easy way to migrate a virtual machine configuration of a device from VCS?  You can restore from a backup of the device?

I know how to migrate the licenses already, but I'm not sure of the configuration itself.  I would really prefer to do it by hand if possible.

    Thank you.

You can use the backup/restore feature VCS located under the maintenance menu to copy your data and configuration from one server to another.  See the section "Backing Up and Restoring Data VCS" VCS administration Guide on page 296.  Remember to take note of the restrictions, such as the two servers must run the same version of software and contain the same option buttons, among other things to note.

Furthermore, according your original description, it sounds as if you have already purchased the necessary references (R-VMVCS-C-M-K9 or R-VMVCS-E-M-K9) migration for new licenses of virtual VCS, if not, refer to this thread: vcsvcse-license-migration-material-vm.

  • Installing AnyConnect Mobile licenses

I want to clarify how exactly a Cisco AnyConnect Mobile license is applied to an ASA. Does as a PAK and then a license key is created? Y at - it a separate to enter specifically for the mobile command?

The mobile license was delivered as a PAK who was converted into a license key.

But today, you buy the mobile license more, instead you buy 4 AnyConnect more or APEX which includes the mobile service.

If you already have Essentials or premium, you can get the license migration until the end of the year.

  • Migrating to a new Mac licenses

I need to move from Logic pro X, Melodyne, waves plugins, and other applications for my new mac, but with these two licenses used for applications.
Installed on both apps and iMac and MacBook pro.
I want to sell the iMac and migrate the applications on my Mac Pro.

I get I will want to do a fresh install, but do not know if there is an option to say 'no longer use this Mac for one of the licenses.

So delete apps... is there a way to inform any registration online I want to migrate licenses?

    Thank you

Apps will generally an option 'disable', often in the menu help. You could also go to the developer site and sign in to your account to manage your licenses. Whatever it is, either online or in the window of your plugin (or standalone) you will need to disable the licenses on your old Mac and then remove the plugs.

  • W2K8 R2 Licensing Issue: passes during the migration of parallel hardware

We have a very old application server run on W2K8 R2 stand-alone (no advertising).  We decide to migrate the server to new hardware.

  • Migration of the HP OEM system, dead motherboard - License Lock

I replace the desktop computers that are both the same model of a HP Desktop Tower. The motherboard on one of the computers has been cut. Can I swap hard drives and always operate the system very well, but when I move the hard drive to a new system Windows 7 refuses to launch (license lock). The product code for the system was for Windows 7 Home Premium and we bought and used codes upgrade of Windows 7 Edition Family Premium to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, but the license lock still prevails.

Can I (and what is the best route) to contact Microsoft to remove the lock of license?

(It is not economically feasible to track down a motherboard for a 5 year old computer and continue to run on older hardware. The license must not be used on old hardware, dead.

If not, is it possible to buy a license code Windows 7 retail and replace the code to get the job of the computer?

[Reason: I tried to migrate to a new version of the trial of Windows 10 and transfer, but the original system contains proprietary software required that we don't have access to the installation files.]

The OEM of Windows 7 versions are identical to the versions commercial full license with the following exception:

-OEM versions don't offer any free direct support from Microsoft technical support Microsoft

-OEM Licenses are tied to the computer first you install and activate it on

-OEM versions allow all hardware upgrades except for an upgrade to a different model motherboard

-OEM versions does not move directly from an older Windows operating system

Have you tried to restart by phone?

How to activate Windows 7 manually (activate by phone)

    1) click Start and in the search for box type: slui.exe 4

    (2) press the ENTER"" key.

    (3) select your "country" in the list.

Because Windows 7 is in limited stock because Microsoft ended sales in October 2013, this created demand due to its rarity. This means the retail boxed copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? Don't ask Microsoft. »)

  • Migration windows upgrade to another computer - deactivate a license to reuse in another computer

I bought a license for 3 family three machines to upgrade to upgrade from 32-bit vista (a machine) and 64-bit (two machines) for Win7 Home premium. One of the machines is simply not work correctly with Win7 (32 bit one). I bought a best computer equipment in function of Winxp I would use the Win7 upgrade of the old machine 32-bit (which I won't use again) to this most recent - better spec'd computer. And if it's possible--I could improve it are OEM Windows XP 32 bit to win7 64-bit. (the material support it this time)

Also long time Windows 7 is no longer in use on the old computer, go to migrate the new computer running Windows XP to Windows 7 and reactivate over the telephone. This will indeed, deactivate the license that was previously used on the machine.

How to migrate Windows XP 32 bit to 64 bit of Windows 7:

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way Windows XP 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit upgrade.

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)
Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.
You will receive the following warning:
The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.
(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK
The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.
Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.
You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.

  • Migrate from TCS license unit to VM?

Anyone know if this is possible and if there is no documentation on the migration of a virtual machine to hardware appliacne TCS licensing?  I have almost everything in my environment (except Server TP s 8710) migrated on VM, but I neglected TCS, it is not widely used in our environment.  Any thing to VMWare's help would be very appreciated :)

    Hi Nick,

Yes, its certainly possible - we just did here.

You must use the Tool Wizard of Migration of TCS which you get access to (and the file OVA to build virtual machine) when you order R-VMTCS-MIG-K9 = part number.

Note: the latest available version (S6.1) is officially supported by UCS Hardware - you may be better waiting for version S6.2 who must be released and would have been officially supported running on your own non - Cisco hardware based Specs.

A couple of Cisco docwiki links that may be useful:

    http://docwiki.Cisco.com/wiki/Virtualization_for_Cisco_TelePresence_Content_Server

    http://docwiki.Cisco.com/wiki/Unified_Communications_in_a_Virtualized_Environment

There are also a few more brief discussion about this in another thread: tcs-gen-2-and-windows-server-2003-support on Win 2003 that is running on the content servers becomes the EM.

If you have any specific questions, Patrick and I did this before migration, must therefore provide the answer to most of the questions.
