Light flashing orange and double beep at startup - Tecra M1

Hi guys,.

I have a Tecra M1, which starts with a double beep, which continues for almost a count of 28 or 30. At the same time between the power lights and the battery light flashes to the rhythm of 6 seconds on and 6 seconds off. Nothing else happens.

Where can I get information about such error codes only displayed by these symptoms?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Hello

Unfortunately there is no public record of these codes. What happens when you try to start your Tecra without battery and connected to the power supply current only

What I know for sure, is that when the microcontroller detects certain defects in the power supply flashing code will be sent. You can not do anything alone. Contact the partner Service of your country and you ask what is the best solution.

  • Satellite 2805-S201: AC power light flashes orange 8 times

    Hello

I worked on a Satellite 2805-S201 and everything was fine until I put a PCMCIA wireless with 3, 3V power.
After that, the AC power light flashes orange 8 times and recycle.

It comes with power supply, battery, AC and no battery installed, etc. If I pull out the power plug and the battery and then put both when AC is green and the battery may charge. As soon as I push the power button, I hear a light click on the right side of the device and then it goes into the amber cycling power.

Bulletins of support mentioned that the card could get damaged, but did not mention the unit itself.
No, the PCMCIA card is not always connected

    Any thoughts?

    Hello

The flashing provides a micro code which refers to the hardware failure.
But please don't ask me what might mean this code because in my opinion, only an authorized service provider can be read and can check in his manuals and documentations.
But it is of course, in most cases, it s a hardware problem of motherboard! ;(

Perhaps the external PCMCIA card was not totally compatible and damages of something on the map but it's only my personal suggestion to ensure what s bad hardware fault diagnosis would be necessary.

  • Satellite Pro 6100 - problem starting (light flashing Orange)

On my laptop Satellite Pro 6100, seeing DC IN (first on the left) flashes orange and the laptop does nothing else (no display or sound). The light flashes for 8 times, has a long pause and then starts all over again.

I tried a different adapter with no joy. It does the same thing if you use only the battery and if you run from the adapter without the battery.

The only time wherever it shows a different light is when you take the battery out, put back in and hold the power button. Led Slim Select Bay (second right) briefly turns green, but it turns off and the led DC IN resumption of the orange blink.

It seems likely that it is an internal hardware problem (power supply, motherboard, etc.). Does anyone have any ideas? And as anyone knows anywhere which lists all the different orange light codes for Toshiba laptops?

    Hi André,.

You are right in thinking that there is a hardware failure (most likely your motherboard). Flashing codes are used by service technicians to indicate the nature of the fault and I have yet to find anywhere who publishes the real meaning of these codes.

I think it looks like a trip to the nearest Service Agent. :-(

  • Qosmio F20 won't start - power light flashes orange

My Qosmio F20-149 crashed yesterday and I was not able to get it working again. When I try to turn it on, the power light flashes on and outside (on: 1 sec, off: 1 sec) and the cooler fan operates at full power. When I press a key, there is a genre or a sound error. otherwise no reaction of the laptop; even the CD player does not open.

I did no RAM-implementation to date, and I use the original power supply Toshiba. I tried from the laptop using only the battery, only power and on both. No change in the reaction. I tried all possible combinations (with a free one, both... etc) of my two cards, RAM (512 + 512) and still no use.

    I am really puzzled.

If I understand you just your laptop sends a blink code. Copy the following code appears so laptop has detected a problem with the electronic power supply.
In this case, there is nothing that you can do and the laptop must be sent to the service provider allowed the closest.

They have manuals containing instructions and the exact description of the code how do I solve this problem.
Sorry, buddy, but I do not think that anyone here can offer an accurate diagnosis for that matter.

    Hello:

    Here's what I'd do...

Turn off PC and unplug.  Press the power button to drain any residual power from the motherboard.

    1. Remove and reinstall the bars of memory. Restart the PC.

    2. If the removal and reinstallation of modules of memory do not work, if you have more than one module of memory, remove all but one and start the PC.

Test each strip of memory, one at a time, until you find the one that is bad.

If none of this works, check for bulging and leaking capacitors on the motherboard. It can be particularly noticeable around the area of processor.

  • What does a double beep at startup

When I try to start the system I get a quick double beep and a message on the screen says "this bios is exclusively for Acer only" Copyright 202-2011 Acer Inc., but I can't enter BIOS using Delete or F10. What should I try to get into the BIOS or get the system started?
There is no disc in the DVD player and any connected USB disk. That means a double beep? I tried to use P2 mouse and keyboard and USB mouse then KB but still 2 beeps. Most computers have 1 beep at startup upward.

Well, I gave up trying to solve the MB. Instead, I just bought a new MB of Ebay, it costs $72 but was worth it. I installed the MB easily and it starts right up normally with just 1 quick beep, BIOS opens and everything works except that I had to order a new Acer E-recovery disk to reinstall Windows 7 but it's worth the $19 to have the original software from Acer for this particular PC. I always tell people to keep the system disks because you always in the future need, but most of the people who bring in it PC always loses, lol. Well, for those of you who responded to thank you for the advice.

  • DeskJet F4280 flashing Orange and "E" on the screen. refuses to print

I have a HP DeskJet F4280 all-in-one printer.  It worked well for several years.  Today I went to print something and the printer did not respond at all.  I have printed many times before from this computer and it has always worked well.  There are several computers in my home using this printer, running under Windows 7 64-bit and Ubuntu Linux and all have historically worked well.

On the control panel of the printer, there is a light under the ink level for the black cartridge blinking orange.  In addition, there are an 'E' in the display number (photo below).  Read the support forums, I managed to get it printed some kind of test page with these listed errors:

    • 1 pen in chute 1 is of unsupported type
    • 1 pen in chute 1 has put illegal region
    • 1 pen in chute 1 has bad locking bits

I've attached a scan of this full page below.

The ink cartridge is a genuine cartridge HP 60 XL.  The cartridge was filled once at a mall location "ink."  It works very well since being filled, until today.  I managed to print a page of a print job that I've put on hold and it looked very nice.  So there is definitely nothing wrong with the cartridge.

I tried to replace the black cartridge with an old empty cartridge I had lying around the House.  This corrected the error reported on the control panel of the printer.  Since the cartridge is empty, when he tried to print something from that page came still Virgin, but at least the orange light stopped flashing.  When I put the problem cartridge in the printer started pointed out the error once again, with the amber light flashes and the "E" on the screen.

How can I fix my printer to accept this black cartridge?  I don't want much out and blow $60 on a new cartridge when the one I have is quite good.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi denversc and natsemioldskul.

The blinking light under the black ink indicator means it has not detected the ink cartridge. That means the cartridge is empty or gone bad. The 'E' error means that the printer detects something wrong with one of the cartridges.

    http://goo.GL/2lQQS

In the case of denversc, as put in a black cartridge empty old deleted the 'E' error, the problem is with the cartridge. With the help of a charged cartridge may or may not have caused the problem. See the following link for more information on this topic:

  • HP 8710W (p/n: GT648PA #ABG): 8710W does not start - the battery light flashes orange 7 times then 1 green.

Troubleshooting done so far: I removed (even the RTC) battery, hard drive and memory. Hold the power button for 30 sec.

When I re - install the battery and press the power button, it flashes 7 times orange, and then Green 1. Same thing happens with or without the power supply is connected.

The laptop does well (no fan, no disc doesn't sound etc.) and the screen stays off (i.e. no splash screen).

I thought it was a dead battery, as it was 8 + years, so bought a new replacement. Unfortunately, there no fixed and I still have the same problems with the new battery.

How to decode what mean hot flashes?

What else can we test it before I bin the laptop? I would have preferred not to do so as he has been a full rock performer and the 17 "display is fantastic as a desktop replacement.

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, this seems to be a motherboard problem. After eight years of service, it is left for a digital camera never never land.

Unfortunately, it's time to bin and source of a replacement book.

You can retrieve data from the hard drive using a cable or a drive enclosure hard usb 2.5 ".

I understand your disappointment. Workstations are portable very special and very expensive to replace.

  • Satellite A100-225: battery power light flash orange

Last night, plugged my AGES of NINE DAYS by Satellite A100-225, the lights were on, it was working fine.

This morning, woke up, lights were turned off, tried to turn it on, the battery power button flashed light Orange.

Tried to play with the cable by plugging it into other outlets that I knew worked, nothing helps.

Have tried to start without the battery in it, without success.

Unless there is a function that can prevent from starting somewhere, I don't know what to say. This computer is nine days old, and I do not understand how something can just wrong all night.

Adding info if necessary - computer was on when I went to sleep, and was running Mozilla Firefox and WinAMP.

    Hello

Perhaps the unit automatically goes in standby mode or hibernation?
On this device, the automatic system standby/hibernation has been reinstalled. This function automatically stops the system when there is no input or material of access for a specified time. You can specify the time and select System standby or hibernation in the base of the Toshiba power saver settings tab.

In addition, if the battery LED is flashing it means that the battery charge is low. The adapter must be connected to the battery.
If it of not possible to charge the battery, so there are several possibilities: the battery could be dead, the AC adapter doesn't work or there is something wrong with the hardware of the laptop.

Try disconnecting the battery several times and then connect.

But according to your ad you tried a procedure and it doesn t work. So I think you should ask the ASP in your country to help.

    Hi mate,

could possibly be the RAM, so please check the RAM modules and remove 1 module if you have 2 of them installed.
Otherwise, I check if some another module of RAM is available and install the module of well known work. If this is not sufficient then I strongly recommend you to bring your machine to a service partner chartered for a balance of health/repair of equipment.

Please give some information about your situation...

P.S.: you can try to remove the battery and AC and leave the machine without power for about 24 hours. Maybe it helps?

    Welcome them
