  I'm passing a predefined filter in an interactive report, this report opens with records, filtered to a specific value.
  The user selects the value in a previous page, then, when he press the 'next' button, the interactive report opens with documents related to his selection only.
  
  But! The filter is displayed in the search bar, and end users can delete it.
  I need to disable or hide the filter, so that the user will not be able to remove it!

  Looks like you shouldn't make it an IR filter but just pass on a hidden element and add a where clause clause that limits this value - this way, your users can filter even more by using all the features of IR, but inside where the clause you have in backstage.

  Theme:-Builder blue 2

  I have two environment production and development

  There is a column of the code

  on development when I filter I am able to see the lines with

  code NA

  

  I am able to find the row of

  

  

  but on the production, it's not not showing lines with NA

  Note:-the data so that the lines are same

  so the query is exactly the same

  There is no condition in where that will impede the lines to be seen

  

  If no idea why is what happens please tell

• Remove the Filter Type of interactive report

  Hi Paul,.

  I don't think you can Remove this option. You can hide it. There are several ways to do it, but they would require css stylesheet. As part of your page's HTML header, add:

  <style type="text/css">
  label[for="apexir_FILTER_TYPE"] {display:none}
  #apexir_FILTER_TYPE.radio_group {display:none}
  </style>
  

  Note that earlier versions of Internet Explorer will not manage the first style, but it's just the label. Real option buttons are hidden by the second style

  so, you can:

  (1) use the operator "matches regular expression" and the "(HR|) value" SALES).
  (2) create the filter lines (this works in 4.0)

  I am trying to add a filter in an interactive report on a field that is defined in the query as follows:

  Select TO_CHAR (TO_DATE (comm. MONTHS, 'MM'), 'MONTH') AS 'MONTHS' from sometable

  Comm. month is a date field

  It works properly when it shows values, they have the name of the month.

  The problem is when I try a filter to aid 'to' article. I can see the different names of months in the drop-down list and I can add to the list of filters (i.e.: MAY, JUNE) but when I click on Apply I behaving strangely, as always by selecting all the lines or not if you select anything.

  Any idea? Oh, I'm using Apex 4.0.2 btw.

• Interactive report - Expression LOV in filter - limit line

  When you create a filter in an interactive report, the "Expression" this LOV of valid values in the data, but it seems to max out at something around 1000 lines. Is - this configurable? Can I work for say 2000 or 2500?
  
  My users are lost when you create filters without LOVs.

  There is a limit on lov to 999 by clicking on the column headers, I guess the same applies for the filter > expression lov

  I have not access to an Apex 3 environment to verify this, but I think that interactive reports of Apex 4 save the filters slightly differently and an attempt to mimic this functionality using IR conditions would fail.

  The only solution I can think of right now is to have an additional column that returns 0 or 1 - for example:

  SELECT FIELD1,
  FIELD2,
  FIELD3,
  CASE WHEN (FIELD1 IS NULL OR FIELD2 IS NULL OR FIELD3 IS NULL) THEN 1 ELSE 0 END INCLUDE_NULLS
  FROM YOURTABLE
  

  then apply a filter to INCLUDE_NULLS = 1

  I want to put a link to a page that contains an interactive report. But the link must set up a filter for the interactive report.

  Example: Set IR_ORDER_ID to #ORDER_ID #.
  or for you
  Set IR_CUSTOMER_ID to #CUSTOMER_ID #.

• Filter column position of the interactive report

  First of all, sorry my English.

  I have a problem with filters standart on the interactive report column heading. Version 4.0.2 APEX. It is interactive report based on the view. Nothing unusual - behavior and the default templates. I have also the region of filter on the page, and after user-press "apply" button my package variables to session state of filter. View used these values. It is worked and filtered interactive report. But when I try also to use the filters on the heading of the column that is nothing past. I have try the column type: report Standart column and display text. I have try the Filter Type column: by default based on the Type of column and the list defined by the use of... Contain. Nothing, as no filter exists at all. Filtering with worked as usual action buttons. I think that this problem in a SEPARATE implicit in this filter. I know that there are quantitative limitation of DISTINCT values with column header filter, but I have nothing in the filter. And even I have type the value and press ENTER, nothing happened. Columns with Date type is fine, but String and number does not.

  There is no work around? Thank you.

  Solved within "parameterized" view, remove and replace with SELECT with params.

  The predicate will be true only if the user has created at least a filter/search condition for the report, and if it is false, that it must stop the optimizer to hit the base table. (This has been developed and tested on APEX 5.0, so there may be differences with previous versions.)

  Note that using the search field by default generates inefficient queries. If you are really serious about performance, clear the search field and get users to create filters to specific columns, which will have a better chance to allow the optimizer to use indexes or improve the execution plan.

• Oracle Apex Interactive report missing filter column header information?

  I use Oracle Apex 4.2, on Internet Explorer 9. I created an interactive report based on the views created in the database (11 g, version 11.2.0.1.0) oracle (workspace = database schema) I use the value of rownum to act as a key to identify the different lines.

  Whenever I try to find the information of one of the column headers for the interactive report (number), I'm not able to find the line, but when I try the same search for "action bar" at the top I am able to see the desired results. That is true of the SQL Developer so know if enter the same information in the filter of the columns, I see the corresponding lines.

  Y at - it an explanation for this behavior?

  This is a limitation of APEX. Column header filters in IR displayed first 999 distinct values in the ascending (after the application of all the IR filters). For example, you can filter 2310 using 'menu action filter' (as you specify) and then try clicking on the topic 'the number '. Then you must see 2310 here.

  fac586 of course it is a bug in the documentation, but 1 million limit is neither practical nor a way to go.

• Filter delete automatically the interactive report

  We are seeing the question in the filter APEX. I applied the action filter-> filter. the filter is applied as expected. then we are navigate current page to another new page. When we return to the old filter page, we are not able to get the filter.

  For example: we have the "amount" column I applied a quantity of filter > filter 0 on page 1, then page 2 accessing we. When we return to page 1 we are not able to find the amount > 0 filter

  Let me know how to solve this problem.

  Are you compensation/reactivate the interactive link (button, breadcrumb) report? Reference: a link to the interactive reports

  As clearing (CIR) /resetting (IRB) interactive report leads to clear the filters applied to the interactive report in the session active.

  Note: Filters / other attributes of the action menu applied to the interactive report are specific session, user may choose to save it as a saved report interactive and developer can choose to save as the main report.

  Hi all, I thought I had posted this, but I can't find my post, so apologies if it turns up to twice more...

  XE SUMMIT 4.2 11.2

  Ive created an editable interactive report... Everything works very well, and I have several Text, LOV and selection list columns...

  However when I now click on a column header to filter, sort etc drop-down list is the same format as the column itself. So if for example, I have a text box, then the drop-down list is also text boxes, if the column is a column LOV, the filter drop-down list is a list of fields LOV. (Im assuming this is correct behavior, because it simply inherits the column parent..)   So, I would change the lists to a list of standard display so that they are in order and can be used...

  I think so? I know I have to do, which is either to substitute the function that generates the dropdown filter... or probably more simply, write a bit of JS/JQuery that modify data for drop-down lists.  Im still to learn, some help would be appreciated...

  I think so. (and please correct me if I'm talkiing... garbage)   I need to find each of the appearance of the DIV with the ID that corresponds to the drop-down list box, and then loop through each entry and change the structure...
