Lightroom 5.5 crashing when I reject Photos

I do not think that has happened before V5.5, but in the module library or development, if I click the button X several times rejected a series of photos, Lightroom will break.  Sometimes with "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 64-bit has stopped working, windows is checking for a solution to this problem".  Then he said: "a problem caused blocking the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. "Then it only gives me the option closed.  When I restart, "the catalog named... was left in an inconsistent state.  Lightroom needs to restore the catalog before proceeding"flashes briefly on the screen.

When he returns to the top, some of these photos, that I've marked as rejected, returned to a State that is not rejected and then the program seems to operate normally until... it crashes again.

Interesting, I tried photos side by pressing the '1' key as fast I could shoot, and I couldn't plant, apparently related to the process of rejection.

I'm stuck, any ideas?

John

  • 5 Lightroom for Mac crashes when I select play slide show

The software crashes when I select 'Play' in slide show, why?

    Hi Butch07179198,

You could try to remove the file/s Look. preferences for instructions here: http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/preference-file-locations-lightroom-41.html

If this does not help, try to delete the file .lrdata from your catalog folder and rebuild the previews.

    Hope that helps!

  • Photos from Lightroom 6.6 crash when the e-poster

2 days ago that I've updated 6.6 Lightroom via Creative Cloud. Since that time LR 6.6 accidents when I use 'e-post photo' well 'export picture' works very well. I've not yet experienced other problems of LR.

Lightroom crashes with the following report (extract):

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Crashed thread: 0 dispatch queue: com.apple.main - wire

    Exception type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)

    Exception codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0 x 0000000000000000

I run on a Mac Pro OS 10.9.5

Anyone knows a remedy to this problem, except going back to 6.1 LR

    PS

I found some descriptions of problem on LR performance... a few months ago I replaced my original H drive with an SSD drive and now Lightroom and Photoshop works like a dream... ie no performance problem with LR 6.6

This issue should be fixed in the 2015.6.1 CC update that went live today: http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2016/07/lightroom-cc-2015-6-1-now-available.html

It is a Mac OS X 10.9.5 specific question.

  • Why Lightroom 5.4 crashes when I try to print?

I thought I had posted a similar question earlier today, but I can't seem to find it. I apologize if this is a repeat. I am running Maverick on a 2012 MacBook Pro with 8 GB of memory. The application crashes every time for all types of printing (including in a file) and on both of my printers Epson (Artisan 50 & Stylus Pro 3800). All of my other fine printing applications, including Photoshop CC. I have a saved crash report if anyone knows how to make pile or tails of it. Any suggestions appreciated.

When Lr begins to behave strangely it's always worth checking if the problem is caused by a corrupted preferences file. So, try trashing the old file preferably. This linked article provides details on where he will find preference and other locations of files in Lightroom 5

  • Lightroom 3.2 crashes when you perform a filter text library on all photographs

I have LR 3.2 running on Windows XP on an Intel Core 2 E8500 with 4 GB of ram.  I run a catalog that contains a little more 51 000 photos (especially RAW images).  Whenever I select all THE PHOTOS (in my menu catalog drop down to the left), go to the library filter, choose TEXT and type a keyword to search to refine my pictures down, LR spontaneously blocks... everything I get a message Microsoft asks me if I want to send a report to Microsoft and when I click on 'no '. LR just closes.  Sometimes, when I re - open LR and perform the same task immediately, all right.  But lately, he arrives again and again even after I restarted LR again and again.  It is simply unacceptable that I constantly need to search my entire catalog to find pictures with keywords depending on the project, I'm working on that.  My catalog is too large?  Finally, I optimized my catalog on 08/10/2010.  This seems like a bug to me.

Sorry if this is a problem already discussed... I ran a search and did not find discussions about this.

  • Lightroom removing not rejected photos of drive - please help

I use lightroom 2.7 and have been for centuries now.

When I reject photos (x) and then click on the photo, delete rejected photos, pictures are removed my files from LR and sent to my trash, however they are still in my folder of photos on your pc.

It is used to remove pictures of disc of my files and LR TIMES (well at least I thought it was). Have not really looked at as closely as by TB in the past a lot of pictures.

This means that I'll have to delete two times (once in LR, and then again in my pictures folder). Very annoying. Am I missing something here?

    Help, please.

    Thank you

I still can't believe that you get something in the trash without him be removed from the directory where he lived.

Could you please show these captures new screen, but with the following information:

    • In the trash, choose display details and make sure that the full path of the file is in the screenshot
    • A screen shot of LR library before deleting, ensuring that the file panel is visible (and a possible with the metadata information)
    • In Explorer mode, choose display details and make sure that the full path of the directory is visible

My suspicion is that the photo resided you in LR in a different directory than you look in the Explorer (2nd copy during import?).

First of all, try to disable the GPU: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-gpu-faq.html

What type of GPU do you use?

  • Lightroom CC2015 - why PC crash when importing photos in Raw format?

I used Lightroom CC 5 installed on my PC (Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit). Everything worked fine without any problem. After installing the new version of Lightroom 6 I had problems with unexpected stops of the PC.

    I took the following measures:

1 / the uninstall Lightroom CC2015-problem still remained.

    2 / the Lightroom 5 uninstalling and re-installing Lightroom CC2015 - problem still remain.

3 / the Lightroom CC2015 uninstall and remove all files associated with Lightroom

4 / re-installing Lightroom CC2015 and start to import the photos in JPEG format - worked fine and no problem occurred

5 / starting import Canon Raw format photo and PC crashed during construction to the top of the smart Collections. Repeated step and PC crashed again.

Otherwise no problem with laptop computer PC Elite / 8 GB / 64 Bit OS and NVIDIA Quadro FX 7800 M of RAM

What other measures do you propose to get rid of this problem?

you have any Application under the name of PC wizard 2015 installed on the computer, try to disable it or if it is possible can you delete it.

looking at the crash report, it seems that could cause the problem.

    Thank you

  • Photo Story 3 crashes when previewing recorded audio or while "Audio Mixer" during save

I use Photo Story 3 on a 32-bit Windows 7 computer (I actually tested on several machines of Win7 32 (business & professional) of various brands & manufacturers).  All of the documentation I found said that Photo Story 3 SHOULD work.  As long as I do not use the microphone to record, that's fine, but if I do (and I NEED to), it crashes when I saw the clip or the finals of the registration phase "audio mixer".

I followed all of the suggestions I found online.  I tried to run it in WinXP SP3 compatibility mode.  I tried to run it as an administrator.  I tried them both at the same time.  Nothing seems to work!  I even went as far as deleting (OK, deactivation) Windows Media Player & Center as a recommended person.  I use Setup PStory.msi setup program Setup.exe only installs a version of a limited use of the trial that I can't use.  FWIW, I tried the limited version that comes with the setup.exe and experienced the same problems!  Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks for the suggestion. I have been in Event Viewer and took note of a conflict with a DivX codec installed last week. I uninstalled DIVX and rebooted.  It works fine now.

Apparently I have a problem with a DIVX player/converter/CODEX had installed and has been using the video of movies at home.

    Thanks for the suggestion!  Solved!
