  As stated above, I am unable to start Lightroom 6 (standalone) after installation. I am able to launch, but I'm stuck on the boot screen (lightroom logo 6) with bezel does not no error. Would be grateful for any help, thank you very much!

  Just a suite, I use Windows 7 (x 64). I talk with the cat from adobe and I was told to create a new Administrator windows account and reinstall LR by using this new account.

  It worked for me, I am able to successfully access LR 6 using the newly created administrator account. I tried to follow up with another request - I have what patches can implement to my current user account so that I can access LR 6 using that account (and not the new windows user account). Unfortunately, I was told that cat Adobe does not support LR 6 and I am directed to ask my questions here.

  I want to improve my Adobe Lightroom version 3 to version 6 (standalone).

  This should be possible, but I can't find anywhere the right way to buy this update without having to buy version 6 for the full amount.

  Hello, my new camera body hands me a RAW format do not like my LR4, then it's time to move to LR5.

  I can't seem to find a link to purchase a downloadable LR4-> LR5 upgrade (standalone only).  The LR product page has a link to stand-alone, but the link is for the purchase of complete product.  If there is no such animal, I see the upgrade of processor in a box (DVD) is available at retailers and will go with it.

  You might want to keep buying LR 5 remotely because LR 6 may (or may not) be published shortly and see if the 30 day free trial gets you enough time so you don't have to buy 5 Lightroom and then also buy LR 6. No way to know, however.

  So I just download my purchase of 5 of Photoshop Lightroom. I bought it via the Adobe.com site and this is the full desktop version, standalone version of the software.

  Important FYI:  Please note that I bought the not-CC Lr program to download.

  Question : How I INSTALL it after you download it on my Macbook Pro using OSX (latest version of Mavericks 10.9.5)?

  I cannot find the Setup instructions for Lr CC and mobile, but not for the full, non - CC licensed desktop version which is what I have!

  Perhaps the above, is that the same step by step installation process as my Lr said 5 but why Adobe doesn't' t say anywhere where I could find.

• Move the external drive of Lightroom on new server

  I use Lightroom 6 (standalone - latest version) on an iMac. All Lightroom files are on an external drive attached in a hierarchy like this:

  Photos (folder)

  Lightroom Files (folder)

  LR-2 Previews.lrdata library (folder)

  Library of LR - 2.lrcat

  Photos of LR (folder)

  1999 (folder)

  2000 (folder)

  etc.

  etc.

  I would like to move this set of the player to a network attached server and continue to access it from the iMac. Can I move the player, point Lightroom for the .lrcat file and continue? Additional measures should be taken?

  The connected server network is a Mac Mini running Mac OS Server (last).

  Previews and catalog file should stay together, if you don't move the previews they will be re-created by LR in any case

• Lightroom 6 fails to start in the window of 10.  Help, please.

  I have a computer Dell XPS 13: 10 window.  Buy Lightroom 6 standalone (perpetual) in March 2016.  It works fine until yesterday.  The opening, the home page with photo trees shows but failed to launch the program.  A small blue circle is always running.  Mouse left or right click Activate a message from "Adobe photoshop Lightroom not responding" and only turn off.  Restart the computer by turning market or restarting does not solve the problem.

  Back story: I keep my photos Lightroom imported into a separate folder named Lightroom_Photos on an external drive. I create intelligent insights for everything that is imported. Currently, I use Lightroom 5 on OS X 10.8.5 on my iMac end 2012 and mid-2012 my MacBook Pro. I copy the catalog 5 Lightroom on my MacBook Pro and Smart Previews feature to view photos. On my iMac, I have access to the original files and do all my editing and save here (in my Lightroom_Photos folder).

  I installed OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) on my iMac and do not want to update the OS on my MacBook Pro.

  Question1: IF I turn to the Cloud of Lightroom (CC2105) version on my iMac, I always will be able to use smart previews in my LR catalog on my MacBook running Lightroom 5?

  In short, the iMac will be a new operating system AND a new version of Lightroom. That will do for me or my files when you try to access it on an older OS and the old version of LR on my laptop?

  Question2: If I decide I can keep is no longer the Cloud of LR version, my Lightroom Catalog will still be usable in LR 6 (assuming that I buy this update)?

  These questions also apply to Photoshop... boy I am hating the software updates!

  No, you would not be able to access Lightroom 6 catalogue and intelligent previews catalog Lightroom 5 on Macbook iMac as the downgrade of the catalogue is not supported.

  Once you install Lightroom CC on iMac, you'll get an option to upgrade your 5 Lightroom Catalog to CC version and it will keep the two catalogs intact (Lightroom 5 and CC).

  You can keep two versions of Lightroom installed on your iMac, if you wish.

  Yes, you will be able to access to the catalogue Lightroom CC in Lightroom 6 If you choose to upgrade to Lightroom 6 standalone.

  I read that an LR6 update came out a few weeks ago. I agree with Adobe CC. My version of LR is 5.7.1. When I check updates the message comes back that I have the latest version. Why can I not to update to LR 6?

  Lightroom 6 (standalone version) or Lightroom CC 2015 (version creative cloud) is an updated release of Lightroom 5. You need to download and install it in addition using creative Cloud desktop application.
