While others have reported various accidents of the latest version of Lightroom (6.2 build 1044713) I discovered that sequence animated images in Lightroom leads also repeatedly crashing.

By selecting a group of images, and then try to move them from one folder to another in the existing Lightroom Catalog led (usually but not always) to accidents.  I have to go back to the previous version, until Adobe can clean or is there another solution?

Yes, you can return to the old version of LR CC/6. Search for 'The Queen of Lightroom' Victoria Bampton. It has steps you need to take to return to LR CC 2015.1.1 or LR 6.1.1

  • Missing files after moving files in Lightroom

I moved files from one drive to another in Lightroom. During the move, Lightroom kept displays error messages 'missing photos', 'Photo can not be moved to destination ". After moving, some photos were gone. I got resynchronization folder but some pictures seem to have disappeared forever - they are not on the hard drive. I do not remember deleting them, but earlier that day, I exported the to jpg... I have a backup of the images, but when I tried to import with "do not import duplicates" checked, Lightroom has identified a few photos as duplicates - those that appeared after the re-synchronization of the folder. Not to mention that I lost a bit of work on the development, etc.

That's what I did - I deleted the duplicates in the Lightroom Catalog to "all photos". Of course there are no duplicate files, I know

    Pippuri,

Try to disable the fast user switching and see if that helps.

Go to control panel, double-click user accounts, and then change the way users log on and outside. Should be a checkbox to turn on fast user switching.

  • Lightroom crash

Since I installed the latest version of Lightroom to creative cloud, very frequently, it crashes ("crash"). Window of I'm on 10. I constantly have to restart. If I delete it and find a new creative cloud of Lightroom in, how do I do and what is this new version will count pour a second Lightroom as if I had it installed on another computer?

    Thank you

You will need to disable the graphic processor out of Lightroom.

    First of all, close Lightroom.

[With Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Users\[your username] \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences

Open the Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs file in a text editor such as Notepad.

Close to the end of the file there is a line that says useAutoBahn = true, - change that to useAutoBahn = false,

Save and close the file. Now, launch Lightroom - the GPU will be switched off.

  • CC of Lightroom crash

    Hi guys,.

Having some major problems for Lightroom CC 2015. It is fully updated and my graphics (AMD Radeon HD 5670) is fully updated with the latest drivers. I work on a Windows 7 with 8 GB RAM machine besides the 2 GB of graphics card RAM on the card. So it should work very well. It works photoshop and indesign is usually pretty good.

The just Lightroom crashes regularly, without apparent reason. Even when I am simply check a framework and tweaking is not a photo, it will crash right on me.

I've seen it maybe is a way to disable the graphics driver. But I prefer not to do so because it will slow down my work, and I tell myself that I have a compatible card it should work.

I would be grateful for any suggestions! Thank you.

Unless you have one of the new monitors high resolution, the graphics processor is only to show the very minimal performance improvements (if any). Although you would not rather turn off the graphics processor in Lightroom, this is the solution. If you want to use Lightroom, do. Your other alternative is to ensure that you have the latest driver for your graphics card. If this does not resolve the problem then you should consider installing another card.

  • Lightroom crash very often (Windows 7)

Recently, every time I open Lightroom and try to do whatever it is developing, the program stops responding and needs to close. I'm running on Windows 7-64 bits, with 16 GB of RAM. Photoshop, however, is quite well. I never had performance problems (slow but manageable speed brushes, etc.) with Lr.

Any suggestions as to what I can adjust to fix this?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jacob

If you cannot launch Lightroom or Lightroom crashes before you can uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" you can disable this preference manually by following these steps:

    1. Stop Lightroom
    2. Go to %appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs
[appdata is hidden by default: press the windows and the keys r to open run and type %appdata%\microsoft\windows\sendto, then follow the path shown]
    3. Open the Preferences.agprefs 6 Lightroom file in TextEdit
    4. Change the following line: useAutoBahn = true to the useAutoBahn next = false
    5. Save and close the file Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs
    6. Restart Lightroom CC/6

  • Lightroom crashed if I open the preferences

I have a problem with my Lightroom. Lightroom crashed if I open catalog preferences. It is a catalogue, and I try to reinstall completely LR and cloud.

    Hi jsm,

You can change preferences outside of the Lightroom.

    Please follow the Solution below

    1. Go to edit > preference > Performance > uncheck "processor chart use" If this does not solves the problem then,
    2. With Lightroom closed
    • Access

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences    (Where AppData is a system folder / hidden so you may need to enter the name of the folder directly into your browser's address bar or activate hidden folders / system in the Internet Explorer view folder options.)

    • Open the file LightroomPreferences.agprefs
    • Locate the line use = True autobahn (press CTRL + F)
    • Take Autobahn use = False

    After save the file

    Restart Lightroom

    3. also refer to that link and update GPU if you use AMD map

  • Lightroom crashes out

Since a few days my lightroom crashed when I close it.

(when he tries to save the catalog?)

SO I can't import files in my backup catalog as it says that I can't import because the catalogue was not properly closed.

I've tried to optimize the catalog annually, repair permissions, restart of course, does not.

    Help, please

Please add your vote and the details of your question about this in the official feedback forum Adobe: Lightroom 2015.2 crashes on quit. It will be a bit more likely that Adobe will prioritize a fix soon.

  • Image in Lightroom 5.7 missing files

I can see a set of images and metadata shows, but the files are not available for external editing or printing.  I can edit them in LR, but does not print them.

It is a set of images of a day.  Images taken on the days of hand and on the other are very good.  Nothing has occurred in the download which indicated a problem.

How to access these files.  They use a model and travel.  I would really like to be able to work with them.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

Well, somehow you created an intelligent overview and then moved or renamed or deleted the original (or the folder that contains it). You must find the original and move again using your operating system or reconnect in Lightroom using Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing

  • Macintosh HD disappeared from records while moving files on external hard drive

Just as the title says.  I moved files in LR this morning of an external HD (created the new folder, drag / drop individual files to new folder HD) and after adding a large folder of photos (about 1/6 of my size of the entire catalog), the task is completed and my main Macintosh HD folder disappeared.  The files are still on display in large "all photographs" under catalog at the top and the files are still on my computer.

Someone knows how to get Macintosh HD to reappear under folders, so I can move the remaining files of the photo the external HD?  I would rather not move them outside of Lightroom.

    Thank you!

I've seen two similar situations like this in the last week or two, someone solved the problem simply by rebooting the computer.

  • Is there a collective way to have 5 Lightroom to find lost files?

Although I tried to move the folders and files only with Lightroom, I see that many of my images in the thumbnails shown in the library cannot open 5 Lightroom cannot find the files.  I guess that I moved the files between readers accidentally without knowledge of Lightroom.  I also find that I can control click and try to find individual files.  Is it possible to make this process of discovery for the readers or the entire folders?  Can I import files from a disk (which is the original source of the lost files) mass and run through the import on Lightroom function and return them directly in the file from which they were imported?  This create a new thumbnail in the library but duplicate files in the affected folder, and the drive?

Jim, thank you very much for your answer.  I used the approach that you have listed, but there are still a number of lost images.  Maybe I didn't do the below files I try.
