Lightroom crashes out
Since a few days my lightroom crashed when I close it.
(when he tries to save the catalog?)
SO I can't import files in my backup catalog as it says that I can't import because the catalogue was not properly closed.
I've tried to optimize the catalog annually, repair permissions, restart of course, does not.
Help, please

Lightroom crashes whenever I use it, develop one or more times during the use of the Panel.
The graphics accelerator is disabled. I made the paper and close the session in the creative cloud, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Yesterday, I optimized the catalog and removed some of the old backup of it and at the moment I have is more known accidents. But I'm not pleased with this development of the CC.

Hi guys,.
Having some major problems for Lightroom CC 2015. It is fully updated and my graphics (AMD Radeon HD 5670) is fully updated with the latest drivers. I work on a Windows 7 with 8 GB RAM machine besides the 2 GB of graphics card RAM on the card. So it should work very well. It works photoshop and indesign is usually pretty good.
The just Lightroom crashes regularly, without apparent reason. Even when I am simply check a framework and tweaking is not a photo, it will crash right on me.

I've seen it maybe is a way to disable the graphics driver. But I prefer not to do so because it will slow down my work, and I tell myself that I have a compatible card it should work.
I would be grateful for any suggestions! Thank you.
Unless you have one of the new monitors high resolution, the graphics processor is only to show the very minimal performance improvements (if any). Although you would not rather turn off the graphics processor in Lightroom, this is the solution. If you want to use Lightroom, do. Your other alternative is to ensure that you have the latest driver for your graphics card. If this does not resolve the problem then you should consider installing another card.

Lightroom crash very often (Windows 7)
Recently, every time I open Lightroom and try to do whatever it is developing, the program stops responding and needs to close. I'm running on Windows 7-64 bits, with 16 GB of RAM. Photoshop, however, is quite well. I never had performance problems (slow but manageable speed brushes, etc.) with Lr.
Any suggestions as to what I can adjust to fix this?
Thanks in advance,
Jacob
If you cannot launch Lightroom or Lightroom crashes before you can uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" you can disable this preference manually by following these steps:
- Stop Lightroom
- Go to %appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs
[appdata is hidden by default: press the windows and the keys r to open run and type %appdata%\microsoft\windows\sendto, then follow the path shown] - Open the Preferences.agprefs 6 Lightroom file in TextEdit
- Change the following line: useAutoBahn = true to the useAutoBahn next = false
- Save and close the file Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs
- Restart Lightroom CC/6

Lightroom crashes when you try to import
I am getting error on file - import and image videos, clicking on which lightroom stops
Hello
What version of Lightroom do you use?
What is your operating system?
Lightroom crashes usually if you have incompatible external devices connected.
Remove (phone, Tablet, external drives) and reopen Lightroom

Lightroom crashed if I open the preferences
I have a problem with my Lightroom. Lightroom crashed if I open catalog preferences. It is a catalogue, and I try to reinstall completely LR and cloud.
Hi jsm,
You can change preferences outside of the Lightroom.
Please follow the Solution below
- Go to edit > preference > Performance > uncheck "processor chart use" If this does not solves the problem then,
- With Lightroom closed
- Access
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences (Where AppData is a system folder / hidden so you may need to enter the name of the folder directly into your browser's address bar or activate hidden folders / system in the Internet Explorer view folder options.)
- Open the file LightroomPreferences.agprefs
- Locate the line use = True autobahn (press CTRL + F)
- Take Autobahn use = False
After save the file
Restart Lightroom

Since I installed the latest version of Lightroom to creative cloud, very frequently, it crashes ("crash"). Window of I'm on 10. I constantly have to restart. If I delete it and find a new creative cloud of Lightroom in, how do I do and what is this new version will count pour a second Lightroom as if I had it installed on another computer?
Thank you
You will need to disable the graphic processor out of Lightroom.
First of all, close Lightroom.
[With Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Users\[your username] \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences
Open the Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs file in a text editor such as Notepad.
Close to the end of the file there is a line that says useAutoBahn = true, - change that to useAutoBahn = false,
Save and close the file. Now, launch Lightroom - the GPU will be switched off.

Hi Akash,
It turned out that the last update Windows 10 from a few nights ago solved the problem. Now, I think the update of Windows 10 a few weeks ago to corrupt some library/driver LR and some other raw editors use. I shot of LR on and off for two days now without any problems. I think that this experience should help me (and probably you) in the future to try to identify the mysterious causes of application failures.
Appreciate your patience to stay with me to try to understand what was going on.

2015.2 Lightroom crashing constantly
Using a MacBook Pro of the retina performs El Capitan 10.11 and LR crashes constantly. Anyone else having the same problems?
Updates only 15 minutes ago and it broke down 3 times to do simple tasks, zoom in and out, change image, cropping.
Completely useless. I don't update my iMac until 2.015.3 is released and it's better to be fast Adobe.

is windows 10 why lightroom crashes?
I have JUST in the last week to two weeks subscribed and installed creative cloud with Lightroom and Photoshop. I used it once and it worked perfectly, updated my computer windows 10 and now it crashes within minutes of the opening of the import screen. Really frustrating because I have this need to work and I have 3 major videos that need to come out next week and I can't even edit my images! Help, please
Hello
Please check what graphics card you are using.
Also try disabling Lightroom GPU of
Lightroom > preferences > Performance > uncheck "use Graphics Processor"(MAC).
Lightroom > Edit > preferences > Performance > uncheck "use Graphics Processor"(Windows). "
Hope this helps

Lightroom crashes in develop mode
Just reinstall creative cloud and lightroom on my computer. We did an upgrade of the system and I got lightroom on this computer before and it worked very well. WE have improved the system to Windows 10 and lightroom still does not work. I have read Articles of troubleshooting for over a week now and have tried many things. I uninstalled and reinstalled lightroom probably 10 times. I signed in and out of the clouds creative 2758905382 time. I deleted all the old associated files from previous versions of lightroom. I have the latest driver update. Initially, I couldn't develop an image. It crashed when I copy the settings. Then he started to crash after I would click to edit the next picture. Then I deleted a lot of things, and then it would not import images (apparently, what I discovered was because I had my printer connected?). Resolved the issue of importation, but still can change only a single photo at a time, and then it crashes. I used a Nikon d7100 with RAW files. Please help - I am beyond frustrated and I have a very unhappy wife.
Disable GPU acceleration while LR is not running:
Go to %appdata%\Adobe\Lightroom\Preferences\Lightroom 6 Preferences.agprefs and change the following line:
useAutoBahn = true,
as a result of the
useAutoBahn = false,
Save and close and relaunch Lightroom 6
