  It is a major design flaw in the card module LR users have complained for years.  When the card LR add suggested locations based on the GPS coordinates module, they appear in gray (Mac) fonts or italic (Windows). These locations "uncommitted" not be saved to the metadata for the picture.   However, they will display in the metadata of the exported images (provided that you selected the correct export options).  If you try to modify a field not validated, LR will erase all other fields!  You need to "commit" the fields first by clicking on the label (secondary, city, State, country) of each field of each photo.  Once a field has been committed, it is displayed in normal characters and will be saved in the photo metadata.  Awkward awkward.

  Two alternatives:

  -Use geocoding plugin Support to add the location information (reverse geo-coding).  This plugin also provides commands to add the GPS tracklogs.  Many people find greater than the card module.

  -Use the command Commit slots free in the Tag no matter what plugin to validate all fields location in a batch of photos.

  Please add your vote and notice to this feature in the Adobe official feedback forum request: Lightroom: better control the reverse geocoded location metadata | Community customer Photoshop family. Which will make (a little) more likely Adobe can solve the problem before the next ice age.

When I open an CR2 file, it displays directly in Lightroom with controls of Lightroom (by the way, my Canon T3i CR2 files are supported). If I save the image, save it in JPEG format. Where is Camera Raw? I tried to install Camera Raw 6.2, but still no luck. I already tried the Lightroom CC version, but I let the trial period expires and made a direct purchase instead.   There is no Plugin de Camera raw to Lightroom unlike Photoshop.

  Camera raw is embedded (in built) in Lightroom

  You can open the image in Photoshop from Lightroom.

  Click right image in Lightroom and select Edit in Photoshop(if you Photoshop installed on your computer, it will open a raw image in camera raw)

Ive has tried to create a jpeg of my images, the lightroom import export workflow process the images and then import the JPEGs of sequences to the Prime Minister, but this isn't a good solution.   I don't see two 'masters' records alone... but so much worse.

  Please close Lightroom and then go to the following location in the Explorer: C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Develop Presets\User Presets

  Paste the predefined settings file in the location above, then try to open Lightroom and control the Module Development, if you are able to display Presets or not.

  I have a lot of my photos with GPS coordinates tag before their import in Lightroom.  When I put them images in Lightroom, the name of the location (city, State, country, etc.) appear low if the metadata Panel is as shown in the picture as an attachment.  I then have to click on each subdivision of the location to put this information in brighter white and to be part of the metadata of the image.  That's a lot of your time with many images.  If there are more taken with the exact location of the GPS even, they can all be selected and clicked on, but it is difficult to find exactly the same.  Is there a faster way to do this?

  You can add your vote and view to the first thread, but given that the problem is present for more than 3 years, it seems unlikely that Adobe will never solve this problem.

  I just switched from Aperture to Lightroom, and one of the main differences is that browsing photos in Lightroom is much slower. I opening I 50000 photos and it was working fine, now in Lightroom, I have only 2000 and the grid view is extremely slow.

  It's annoying, but Lightroom is control through each of the files to check if the metadata and previews are updated. It is one of the areas that have been the improvement of Adobe as part of the interactive performance changes in Lr3 beta.

  Apologies for the inconvenience.

  The minimum version of camera for Canon G3 X access files is 9.1.1 However, last camera raw update for Lightroom 5.7.1 was 8.7.1.

  Thus, you would not be able to access these raw files in Lightroom.

  For Lightroom, you can switch to Lightroom 6 or download DNG Converter to convert these images to DNG and then access in Lightroom.

  For Photoshop CS6, you should be able to access raw Canon G3 X images as CS6 version supports them.

  Make sure all your plugin for Photoshop CS6 camera raw.

  I am located in the United States, and I've updated my creative cloud application but I am unable to see the most recent upload Lightroom CC. I currently show no CC of Lightroom but Lightroom 5.7.1 64-bit installed. I'm running on both 64-bit, qualification of the systems (8.1 Windows x 64 and Yosemite 10.10.3) my colleague CC Lightroom in its control panel already has.

  Answered my own question.

  After installation of the update, I did a full restart of the workstations and CC revived with Lightroom CC as an update for download.
