Lightroom is as this is a new installation
I had problems with LR, newer some CC. I try to open and it either acts as a new installation or it says that catalog 2.2 is already used. I, m awfully darn tired of this. I have 44 000 pictures in my catalog and I need a stable catalogue. I have new backup, I need to replace? Thank you. PC, Dell POS running Windows 10.
Means 'Catalogue already in use' the previous run of LR out correctly.
In the folder containing your catalog file (*.) LrCat), there is a file with the same name but with the extension ".lock". Delete the "." Lock file '. Delete nothing else.

Just loaded LR v 6.0 of disk. Whenever pop, 'Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has stopped working' window and the only option is to close the program. I use Windows 10 with Intel HD graphics card. I looked at the Lightroom 6 Preferences.AGPREFS file to disable the graphics card, but the file is empty anyway. I also started the Lightroom.exe with administrator rights. I also reinstalled but I still get the same error message no matter what I do. I tried the demo version of CC of LR and Photoshop and wonder if there is some kind of conflict, although I have uninstalled these before implementing the stand-alone version. Please help as worked on it during the day.
It seems that the graphics driver is at the origin of the crash program.

3 weeks ago, I installed windows 7.
For some reason, internet is super slow. I noticed right away because the download of the updates took forever. I thought it was because I need to install the NIC drivers, so I only have the first. It didn't fix it. Then, I searched and tried everything I could find online. The only thing that did work was that if I boot mode safe mode with network speed is very well .
When I discovered that, in safe mode, everything was fine, that I started to disable any service that relates to networking. (As the Base and support Ip filtering engine, etc) This does not solve it so I decided to try the oppisite I started in safe mode with network and then loaded to the top of msconfig and any service that was not running in safe mode, I turned off. Thinking that I start one by one and find out what service was slowing downloads. When I booted in normal mode, the download speeds were still broken.
So I continued then to disable services, I disabled all services which have to do with networking, and to enable windows. (Things like the service that launches programs. Yes, any program that has not been opened I could not open.) Accordingly, I have concluded that it was not all services.
This is a new installation, so I only installed firefox and flash. (no flash for the speed test) no anti-virus, etc.
Here are a few screens of speed trials. These are actually kind of funny because the download is so fast that downloads.

So here's what I tried.
- disabled auto-tuning
- disabled IPv6
- turned off homegroup
- reinstalled drivers
- drivers uninstalled (for default windows drivers)
- Install different drivers (installed a game on the asus site) and the other on the nvidia site
- disabled many services to many-on-list really out.
- disabled Windows defender and windows firewall.
- I bought new RAM with the win7 update so I tested to see if the RAM was bad. I ran Memtest86 + and it failed. So I took the new RAM and he run and all past. Still doesn't solve it.
- I reinstalled.
- I installed another network card.
- I installed another version of Win 7. (Installed Win7 professional first and after Win7 Ultimate)
- reinstalled the drivers again.
- Disable all of the services.
- A run anti-virus programs. To make sure that there are no viruses. There are not.
- I connected directly to my router.
- All the latest windows updates installed.

FIXED!
So I gave up and gave my computer to my friend at home and take a look. He brought me.
What did do? He went out and bought a new network card. I guess that despite the windows NETWORK card drivers 7 I installed windows for some reason any dislikes the network card. (NVidia nForce 10/100/1000 Mbit / s) It is built in the nice for the card mother P5N - D.
The funny thing is that 3 1/2 weeks, when I had the problem. I asked him what he thought and he said to go out and buy a new network card. When I hesitated to do so, he said he would buy the NIC if it did not work.
In any case, I hope this helps someone maybe who has the same problem, I did.

Maximum number of activations reached after the new installation of Lightroom
After migrating to a new MacBook, I installed OS x fresh on the old MacBook. Because I also tried to get rid of Manager CC I uninstalled Lightroom and installed again on the new MacBook.
Lightroom now, tells me that the maximum number of activations has been reached. Altogether, I have indeed installation, one on my MacMini and the other on my MacBook.
Who can reset the activations?
Normally, you should be able to reset by opening the program and by selecting help-> Deactivate. If this isn't the case, then you will need to wait until you can reach the Adobe Support via chat and ask them to reset the activations.

Windows broke down and I need to reinstall Vista. So I can make a backup of my favorites, but I guess that there is a file somewhere on my crashed disk that bears this detail. If so, can I copy this file and replace in my new installation of firefox. If this file exists, I would like to know the name of the file that I need to copy and that I could find it in the directory.

I installed a new HARD drive with a new installation of Windows XP Edition family. I want to keep the old HDD and reformat the drive, but I can't because the second HDD is listed as active in the management of the computer. Why? It's not the drive that contains the operating system (Windows XP) that is initialized from. I put the BIOS such that the new HARD drive is the boot drive. The old HDD has Windows XP on it, but isn't the startup disk. I just don't understand.
If only the new HARD drive is installed, the computer management doesn't show that it or any other of its partitions are the active partition (C drive is listed as the system partition, of course).How can I get an active partition and no active partition when the new HARD drive is installed on a HARD drive that is not the boot drive, when I have two hard drives installed?
In case it is necessary, the new HARD drive is a SATA and the old HARD drive is IDE with the cavaliers as a slave.
The system partition is the Active partition. The system volume contains the system files needed to start Windows, Windows XP, these system files are:
NTLDR
Boot.ini
NTDETECT.COM
Ntbootdd.sys (present/used only with older SCSI controllers)Windows files are not necessarily on the system volume, they can reside on another volume, when on a different volume this volume holding Windows files is called the boot volume.
When you install Windows on a computer, playing a mixture of IDE and SATA setup discs tends to favor with IDE drives on SATA drives and tends to use the IDE drive to house the system partition, (even if Windows is installed on a different drive).
Running the command SYSTEM SET at a command prompt may shed some light on the problem...
