Link new installation of thunderbird with the old profile.
I created a new profile and stored on an external drive, there is a certain messages, I just had to reinstall win7 and do not know how to link a new installation of thunderbird with my old profile. Seems fair to get a host of issues that do nothing.
Look at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb#w_how-to-find-your-profile and then go to the directory corresponding to your external drive to find your old * *.default file.
Copy your old profile to the directory where your current profile is stored.
See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-multiple-profiles to switch to your old GOLD "profiles.ini" edit profile to change the 'path' in the name of your old profile.

XP pro ie8 32 bit svc pk 3.
during a new installation http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=44636, most of the steps was OK, however, my product key was not for and type of network was not.
As the third so clean installation I did, do you think the pc is to remember my preferences?
Thanks for any help.
I think that when you install XP and turn on the first time, Microsoft collects information from your system during this process to develop a signature of material that goes with your license and store it away. Of course, they do not collect any personal information :)
They do it so that if someone takes your XP installation license and tries to apply it to another computer (it is piracy) that the installation would not activate as your activation must match your hardware.
If someone tried to install and activate your license on another machine with a different set of hardware, MS would say, wait a minute - this license has already been activated on another machine, and he could complain. Then someone has some ' splaing to do.
I suspect that in your facilities in 2nd and 3rd, MS takes a look at things and said... this material signature and the license already go hand in hand, that nothing has changed here, so it is not necessary to activate again, all right.
This is why, if one day you need to replace your motherboard and reinstall XP, even if you have everything and it's all legitimate, you will probably have to reactivate again since the signing of material would be completely different for this license that MS remembers the first activation. A few small hardware changes, that you can get away with, but if the number of points collected to compensate for the signing during the initial activation is too different, you will need help activating.
In this case, if things are legitimate, you can call MS activation team, and if you can convince them that there is no hacking involved and you just have to change your motherboard, they work with you to get your reactive stuff.
Since you are looking at AUMHA, they have a writing little upward about it here, but there are official documents of Microsoft you can read also ('points' and how they work):

New HP Pavilion freezes to the BIOS
Hello
my new Pavilion P6-2053de (core-i7 with UEFI BIOS) freezes at startup.
It does not start at all. After the first saying blue screen "press ESC for boot menu", it does not continue
If not by pressing any key.
Pressing ESC soon going to a second screen - but no start menu freezes.
Pressing F10 will soon also to a second screen - but no BIOS config, that freezes.
I wonder how it could be that enter the BIOS is locked completely?
How can I reset my system and the BIOS so that it can start and get into the BIOS?
I tried to remove the HARD drive but no change.
Thank you

Hi old_geekster,
Thank you very much for your answer! Now I know that the type of my motherboard, but I had no success, still the same
behavior.
Strange is that both blue jumpers are placed differently in default mode on my Board compared to the specification. My jumpers are placed at 1-3 and 2-4 and not 1-2 and 3-4 in default mode! It's strange. Have the located at the position indicated in the specifications to see what is happening. I don't think it will hurt anything and it could well be the problem solver.
There is an another slider pin with 7 pins on the main Board saying BIOS_RECOVERY. There is no rider placed on these pins. How can it be used? I am sorry to say that I don't know how to use it. If there is no rider, it probably isn't a function for your motherboard. HP uses the same mobos for different models.
Any other ideas? See my above response to your first question.
Thanks in advance!

Problems in library merger creating a new virtual machine. I 'continue without disc', then open the folder where I copied the whole Windows 7 CD (I have no optical drive and my external CD is firewire, which I did not).
The problem is that the setup.exe is grayed out. I tried this where the CD was on an external HD (connected by USB) and also where the CD has been copied to the laptop HD (after reading some stuff in the forums about the merger not being is not able to read certain files via USB)
Watched a tutorial and watched a little, but if anyone has the easy answer, would be great.
I'm afraid that the dvd may have been damaged. I recommend to try with another copy or download the same version in the form of iso, but use your own key.

New installation of XP Pro the new HD
My computer has been infected by a pernicious virus/trojan that even technicians AVG cannot remove. My plan is just remove the current startup disk, insert a new clean HD and re - install all the applications, starting with software XP Pro and MS Office Pro that were initially installed on the machine. Is there something special I need to know about re - install XP - Pro or office on a new HD? The original security keys works fine? I have problems with registration MS due to the change in HD? The MB will not change. Thank you!
I don't see why you would have a problem unless your don't use only not Microsoft disk (xp pro)

New installation and uninstallation of the old Flash Player
I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player on my iMac. Now, I get an icon and a window telling me to install Flash player whenever I click on my hard drive.
When I click to go ahead and install it, I get the message that a newer version of Adobe Flash is already installed and which therefore cannot install this version.
How can I get this older version from popping up telling me to install every time I click on my hard drive? I put it in the trash, but it comes back again and again when I click on my hard drive on the desktop icon.
When you click on your hard drive? Opening the Mac HD using Finder. Flash Player is not even factor into that.
Are you sure that you don't see, whenever you open Safari?
And that's what you see?

New installation question on separating the VM on its own partition
Currently, I use fusion 3 and my operating system on an external drive. I will get a new computer with a 1 TB internal drive and want to move the OS on this drive but asked to know if can I partition the new disk so that the guest operating system will be isolated from the Mac operating system or can I simply move the file to a folder on the Mac OS? Is there a security advantage by putting the score of guest operating system on its own isolated because Windows has so many questions compared to OSX?
A Fusion VM in its own beam is entirely contained in the virtual disk container (hard). It does not matter from a security perspective if you partition your 1 TB drive. HFS + partitions before you bought some time protection against the loss of an entire volume based on corruption. This does not happen so much now. Another reason could be to take advantage of smaller block of file sizes, but a 1 byte file is 4 KB on my 120 GB and my 1 TB drive. Invariably, you will want to use all your disk without worrying about how much space is left in separate partitions, so if you have not to there is no advantage of partitioning.
The only type of virtual machine that requires partitioning is Boot Camp, since it is the machine how dual boot the second operating system.

Kiwi.Hello
You have received the Toshiba Recovery CD. Right?
On this recovery CD, you will find the image of Toshiba.
It is a package that contains the OS, drivers Toshiba, tools and additional software.Just says that the recovery CD supports all applications that are / have been preinstalled on your laptop.
You have to boot from the recovery CD and the laptop will be set to the factory settings.
This means that you will get all THE programs that were pre-installed at the beginning! So, I wonder were the problem is? :|

My new Macbook Air freezes all the time, I do closures hard then it comes back, in general. The tech simply ran Mac twice diagnostics and says that nothing is wrong with it. I think I bought a lemon. Any ideas what I need to do? Is it's better to go to a real Apple store rather than just Mac for repairs/diagnosis? Is the customer service nothing better in a real store?
The guarantee gives the right to the free phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.
If you bought the product in the United States directly from Apple (not a retailer), you have 14 days from the date of delivery where to Exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you purchased from a reseller, its return policy applies.

New Installation - download from Adobe's Web site or use the installation CD? CF 8
Hello..
I need to check... I already managed to buy Coldfusion 8 and an included installation CD.
Since in the current situation there is a lot of fixes and patches for the Coldfusion 8... If I want to install it in a new fresh Server I should?
1. use Setup from the given CD and then download the patch manually update my app server?
2. or I just download a new installer for Coldfusion 8 from Adobe's Web site, hoping that this new installer has included all the current patches, so I don't have to do it manually? is it really as I hope or just that I dream?
I'm a little confused on this subject... so please someone make me warm and clear on this fixed installation of process? I don't want to be left aside for the patches...
Thank you...
Available on the website of Adobe CF 8 installer is 8.0.1, as I mentioned previously. So download that. Then, you can simply install Cumulative Hot 4 difficulty - that's why they call it a fix 'cascading '. There may be some post-CH4 patches, but you will then apply them subsequently.

Symbol ban after new installation on new SSD
Hello
A few months ago, my original HD failed (MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2012)).
I decided to replace it myself with a SSD instead.
the thing is, every time you start, I get the symbol ban for a few seconds until sometimes for hours, but once the start is done - everything works perfectly.
tried to replace the disc SSD 3 times now - the same result after each new installation of recovery of the internet.
Currently, using SanDisk Ultra II 240 GB.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!
The symbol you see means that the computer did not find a bootable system disk and sometimes occurs when you have not set up a default startup disk. Go to System Preferences, and then select Startup disk. You should see your SSD in the window. Select it after you unlock the preferences.
The strange thing is that, if this is your problem, it must be solved in seconds - certainly not hours. This would suggest there is something more complex. You say that you tried to replace the SSD 3 times. Different drives? Different manufacturers?
