Lightroom library file is not found

After importing and editing in LR (CC) photo, the photo is now marked as "file cannot be found" and has a small exclamation mark in the upper right corner of the thumbnail.   ??????  Any ideas/help?  At this point, I can do anything with the photo, not even to export it.  Frustrating!

This means that the file is moved or been deleted from the drive. It doesn't by itself, and certainly not only after adjustments to it in the LR develop module.

So please give the exact measurements you have done with this file before it disappeared.

LR is just a database makes it a record, references, where the images are stored on your hard drives. In order to make changes to any image in LR does not move, copy, or modify the original somehow image.

    Greetings

I know there are a lot of pictures in my library in Lightroom where the original file is not found. How can I find all the photos for which this is the case? In other words, I see the exclamation point error in the upper right part of some photos and I would like to find all photos that have this condition so that I can link them to the originals.

    Thank you

  • Whenever I export an image from lightroom, if I try to work on the original again once he said immediately that the file is not found.

As noted above, immediately after you export an image in a file - if I want to go back to work on this image it just says that the file is not found. I have not changed the name of the file.

Also, after work on an image in Photoshop and saves a copy to the lightroom folder - I don't find it anywhere. It works if I save on the original image from lightroom, but if I save a copy I can't find it in the file anywhere!

    Hi mayab13,

How do you export the image from Lightroom, because export image from Lightroom keeps the image in Lightroom.

Could you please tell me your step by step workflow.

  • LR CC I try to process a photo that shows celluloid, says 'file was not found", try to import said:"already imported"

I have LR CC, about to delete the whole program. I try to process a photo that shows celluloid, says 'file was not found", try to import said:"already imported "... Until I give up fact together, someone has any ideas my obviously simple mind can grasp? I am quite proficient in photoshop, lost at sea with lightroom... Thanks in advance for clues...

It is possible that the file has been moved. It is possible, if the folder is on an external hard drive, the drive letter has changed. Without more details, it is difficult to diagnose. One thing you can try is to right click on the folder in the library module, choose the option to update the location of the folder. Then use the dialog box that appears at the point Lightroom folder.

  • "the file is not found" after apple update.

"the file is not found" after apple update.  Before the update, I've drag only the pictures I want to edit iPhoto to lightroom and change them.  However, after I upgraded apple iPhoto photos, there is no connection between my modified pictures and lightroom and I get the above message. I know where the photos are (in the content of the packaging of my iPhoto library).  However, when I try to find photos by clicking on the exclamation mark (on the thumbnail of the photo) which means that the photo can be found, I can't open the iPhoto package content.  does anyone have a solution?

I recommend that remove you the Photos app entirely.

File > PlugIn options... > import from iPhoto.

However. If you want to continue to manage with Photos AND Lightroom, you can create an alias of the Masters record (in the package contents) and place it in a suitable place. Lightroom will be able to see this file in the import dialog box.

Locate one of the images that is missing and it should be able to locate the others.

  • I get the error message "a license is required to play the selected song or video. However, a license for this file is not found, has expired or has been altered"while trying to play a downloaded song

    Original title: Media Player

Yesterday, I downloaded a song.  Now my Windows Media Player will not play anything.

I get the same room whenever I try to start each song in my library:

    Media usage rights acquisition

    wmasf.MusicNet.com

A license is required to play the selected song or video.  However, a license for this file is not found, has expired or has been altered.  To obtain a license for this content, please visit the website or open the software application in which the file was uploaded originally.  You need to connect or buy the song or the video.

I ran several diagnostic, and remedial programs, but nothing worked to get media player to work (without getting this popup Media Player and stop).

It seems to be a kind of malware that has damaged something in my windows media player.  When I put "wmasf.musicnet.com" in the address line on explore, I get only the same message as the pop-up.

Anyone know how I can fix the media player and get rid of this problem?

    Hello

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Run the troubleshooters in Windows Media Player and check if it helps.

Open the troubleshooting Windows Media Player settings Troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Media-Player-Settings-troubleshooter

Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-library-Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

Try to reset the management of digital rights (DRM) and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to reset the DRM:

    1. first of all, check that the hidden files and folders option is enabled.
To do this, follow these steps:

    a. start Windows Explorer. To do this, click Start, type userinit.exe in the Search box and press ENTER.

    b. click on organize, and then click folder and Search Options.

    c. click on the view tab.

    d. click Advanced settings.

    e. under hidden files and folders, click Show files and folders, clear the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) box and then click OK.

    2. Locate the DRM folder on the computer.
In general, the DRM folder is located in the following location.
Note In these paths, drive represents the drive on which Windows is installed.
    Windows 7 or Windows Vista.

    a. Windows 7 or Windows Vista versions x 86-based
    drive: \ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM

    b. Windows 7 or Windows Vista versions x 64-based
    drive: \ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM

3 Rename the file DRM DRMbackup.

    a. right click on the DRM folder and then click Rename.

    b. type DRMbackup, and then press ENTER.

    c. close Windows Explorer.

Warning: You must contact any third-party stores where you purchased music to reset the licenses for that music. If you copied CDs for protected Windows Media Audio files, the CD must be copied again.

  • "The file is not found."

I imported the images into Lightroom, but when I tried to change to 'Develop', a notice appeared "this file is not found." What can I do to access these images for editing?

This means that the file (or the folder that contains it) has been moved, renamed or deleted outside of Lightroom. You need to use your operating system to find the exact location of the file (by file name), and once you know, you can reconnect the photo inside Lightroom by following these instructions: Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing

  • File is not found

    Hello

I have recently moved many of my photos on an external hard drive.  I then imported some photos from iphoto into lightroom 5.  When I did, I suddenly had one! point above has my photo and a message "file is not found."

The good news, the photos I had exported and have in folders, I can find them, but the problem...

The photos I did not export, I can see them in Lightroom, but can not find the new path to the photo.  Doesn't have, I lost these images or can they be somehow always found?

    Help, please.

    Thank you.

Have you used your operating system search functionality to search all hard drives for one of these files by file name? Yes or no?

    If not, then do it.

If Yes, then the photos were accidentally deleted and left. You must restore the photos of your backups.

  • Try to make "the file is not found" go away

    Hi all

I have a problem with some pictures.

My external hard drive crashed with a lot of pictures on this topic.

I can see the files preview in Lightroom, but the boring text "the file is not found" interrupt to take screenshots of lost so photos I have, even if they are not good for printing.

Can someone help me with this issue please?

This is the only copy of the photos that I have and they are of a marriage.

    Best regards

    RP

    Thanks for the update.

There is no such way to do that "File not found" message go away.

It can only go away when you move these insights with the original images.

  • Satellite Pro M10 Hibernate - error message "the file is not found.

I have the Satellite Pro M10. I have problem in the power of Eve v6.00.04. When I want to activate the Hibernate mode it give a massage: * the file is not found. Please confirm the name of the specified file *.

I can't use the hibernation mode. I tried to uninstall the Toshiba power saver and install again but the massage even come. If anyone has experienced the same problem and have a solution? Please advice

When you active hibernating the operating system creates a file named hiberfil.sys in the root of your system drive.
Of course, this file is missing in your installation.
You can activate and disable hibernation in the system control-> power options.
Disable hibernation, restart and enable again. Is there an error message? Maybe your C drive has insufficient free space?
The size of the hibernation file is different from your main memory size.

    Hello Shirley,

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp56001-56500/sp56045.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open programs and features, locate the Audio IDT entry, right click and select uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the computer.

Let Windows load completely.  Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

  • error-61499 to Compileinstructions.txt. File was not found.

    Description of the problem:

I have a cRIO application that used a module NI 9401 DI, that I needed to change to use a cRIO or NOR-9411.  I added the module to 9104 chassis, modified the project to include the correct, deleted and added HW FPGA DIO VI in the application and went to compile...

    When I did, I got:

error-61499 to Compileinstructions.txt. File was not found. Check

    Support SW installation target.

Is that what sounds like my install Labview is watered upwards and my Xilinx compiler is missing or broken?  Let me know.  I am against a date limit to change this code.  I tried to re - install modules FPGA and re - compile, but when I try to open the FPGA VI to recompile LV hangs too.

Things are degenerating fast here... I was really not looking forward to blowinga DAY reloading system ALL THE LV... since I KNOW what technical support is to tell me... I've seen that movie too many times.

    Any ideas are appreciated.

It clearly looks like a Setup error.  Make sure that you fix LabVIEW, LabVIEW FPGA, OR RIO, and other features that seem to be related.
