Lightroom Presets folder problem
Once the download and the installation of some settings today, they were not included in Lightroom (5) on a Windows 10 PC.
In the file Explorer that they all appear in the Lightroom Presets folder to develop where I copied it to.
But in Lightroom so I select 'Show Lightroom Presets folder' change preferences and check "Presets to store with this catalogue", then click 'Show Lightroom Presets folder', need me in the main "Photos" folder on my computer and there is no presets here, just the main folder Lightroom and 'Photos go here' more than one charge of purple icons.
If I uncheck the box 'store with this catalog presets' and then click 'Show Lightroom Presets folder', it takes me to Windows C, username - MyName - AppData - roaming - Adobe.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Lightroom, but still having the same problem.
How can I make the point "Show Lightroom Presets folder" in the folder Presets to develop, and the presets appear in Lightroom?
Copy, move them into the folder user predefined for the specific module, function, you try to add to. Then check the User Preset section in this module.

Replace the "Devlop Presets" folder in Lightroom CC (mac)
Hello!
Could you tell me if it is possible to change the way to develop cc lightroom presets folder?
For example, if I want to put all my presets in a folder on my desktop or my image folder. I can match that record with lightroom?Thank you very much!
Tom
Lightroom does not have this option. The two choices you have are (1) stored in the catalog, and (2) is not saved with the catalog.
My recommendation is NOT with the catalog. You should be able to create a shortcut to an OS in the folder "develop presets" for ease of use.

Cropping in Lightroom presets bug
My client wants me to crop their images to 2600 x 2000 pixels. When I try to define this relationship like Lightroom preset cropping it will not allow him. Instead it by default 8.5 x 11, which translates processed 2600 x 2009 pixel, image sizes or 2588 x 2000 pixels.
This vagueness cropping is very annoying because I have to spend time re-crop my images processed using a Photoshop action to the specifications requested my client.
This bug occurs also with many other cropping ratios if they are close (but not the same) as the existing Lightroom presets of harvest. You can solve this problem? I think it is a serious failure that Lightroom CAN create images at certain specified dimensions.
Kind regards
Colin Thomas

Running LR 5.7.1 64 bit on Windows 7 Pro on a desktop Dell XPS-8700. My presets have done great since the beginning with LR 5.0 through the 5.7.1 set to level, but in the last 3 months, ~1/2 of presets no longer work. Even if you still see the name of the file, they are not available in the preset drop-down list. When I check the development presets folder, they are still there, but non-working color presets have changed from black to green. I tried to uninstall LR 5.7.1 and replace first by 5.0, then the versions 5.6 and 5.7 with no improvement. Also, I have a laptop of Dell 3540 on Windows 7 Pro and not have all these predefined problems. HELP PLEASE!

I need the English version of Photoshop and Lightroom. The problem is that I live in Barcelona in Spain and Suffolk, Virginia. My Bank and credit cards are all in the USA. How can I set up the plan of photography. I want to pay the price of the English version.
Hi Larry,
I see that you have you have a creative with email even cloud as with forums account and some countries such as the Spain.
To order the creative cloud with a credit card the United States, you must have an Adobe ID with United States in your country.
The country store & the Adobe ID, payment details must be same.
For tax reasons, it is not possible to change the country associated with an existing Adobe ID. To work around the problem, you can create a new Adobe ID to the e-mail address associated with your existing Adobe ID see the link for instructions:

Lightroom has encountered problems of reading of this photo...

When I open on my pc I get this error (not all the time)
Thanks Dave
Lightroom has encountered problems of reading of this photo...
This indicates that the photo file is corrupt, and it is unlikely that you will be able to use the photo at all. If you have a photo backup, you must restore the backup.
You can run diagnostics on your drives to identify potential problems. Map of the camera may also be the culprit, it could be that the file was written incorrectly camera card (although if you do not have the problem on the MacBook, but do have the problem on the PC, which seems to exclude the card camera)

Save an animation preset of your own from inside After Effects. This also creates the user preset animations folder. Then, you can install preset animations there.

Can I convert a Camera Raw preset in Lightroom preset?
I have number of presets in Camera Raw I use in the composition of PS. However, I would like to use some of them in Lightroom now for my photography. Is it possible to convert? Camera Raw presets are saved in a file .xmp, while the Lightroom preset to carry the .lrpreset extension. They have similar information, but the formatting is a bit different (the .xmp looks more like an XML file). Any ideas?
I'm not sure of all the automated options or if there is a whole script, but if you apply the preset in Camera Raw (button does) then update the metadata and preview in Lightroom, you can move to the develop module and save the preset.
