Lightroom print a partial picture

Lightroom 6.5.1 on iMac running El Capitan 10.11.4 configured to print mode landscape on paper 17 x 22 on an Epson 3880, margins set to 0.25 and 16.5 x 21.5 cell size, image format 2 x 3, print only part of the picture, 10.5 x 17, in the lower left corner. Works fine on 8.5 "x 11". Help?

Thank you very much! It worked. I'm a little nervous for the future. And how is one supposed to know to do this if not for responses to his queries?

  • Selection of Lightroom printing

I have been using Lightroom for many years on a PC.  I recently moved to an iMac.  On the PC, in the print module, I can select a number of photos and click on print.  Print all the pictures in the selection.  On the iMac, when I do the same thing, only the first photo in the selection prints.  What can I do to get all the pictures selected to print?

It was a matter of print range.  It is now correct.  Thank you

  • The Lightroom prints do not match the size of the cells

Impressions of Lightroom is smaller than the size of the cells

Until this week my 6.1 Lightroom print Pixma Pro-100 routine worked well.  This week, when I printed out a few test photos that Canon Photo Paper Plus semi-Gloss of Lightroom on my Apple Mac Pro Quad Xeon 6.1, size of Lightroom cells in the print module has been set at 3.493 x 5.5 inch 4 x 6, but the actual cell printed on paper 4 x 6 was 2.38 x 3.72 inches.  Lightroom is updated (version 6.1, Camera Raw 9.1) and I am running Yosemite 10.10.4 on Mac Pro, also updated.   There is no printer error code when I look at the print queue, just the small print on paper 4 x 6 and 8.5 x 11, shiny and glossy, two newspapers of barrel size. The photos are of a Fuji X - T1 in. Format of the RAF, supported by current versions of Lightroom and Yosemite.

This happened with or without the scale flag to adjust the paper size set in the dialog box printer under the paper handling section. I repeated this three times on test paper Canon 4 x 6, with the same result using the ICC driving Canon color profiles.  I then switched to a different image on 8.5 x 11 Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, with a cell size of Lightroom set to 5.104 x 7.437 in. on paper, but the size of the cells printed was 4.34 x 5.31 inches.  In both cases, I checked the document selected in the library module, developing and printing from Lightroom 6.1 were all together at the same size, 4 x 6 or 8.5 x 11 as appropriate.

I always print at sizes reduced to check your and before committing to print full size 13 x 19, but I'm now the printer produces contrast to avoid making any impression until I can be sure that the size of the cells that I want to size prints will be the cell sizes.

I tried different images and orientations (portrait and landscape) and tried to scale to the size of the paper was on and off the dialog box printer under the paper handling section.

Another test, I printed two pictures of the Canon Print Studio Pro application comes with the Canon Pixma Pro - 100-4 x 6 Photo Paper Plus Glossy II cannon and they printed to the correct size, so I'm sure that the printer is working correctly, but somethings wrong in Lightroom, maybe a flag set by mistake, but I can find nothing of different of when I printed before exactly the sizes specified in the dimensions of the mesh of the print module.  I have 2/3 ink remaining in most tanks, 1/3 in the other, so ink supply shouldn't be a factor.

Any help in troubleshooting would be appreciated.

    Solved.

Under printer, in the section of the margin, the value had been set long-side stapling at 1.2 inches.  I have never had a reason to enter the print area, with no need to staple the photo prints, but it must have fat fingers something last week.  I have reset the value of the margin at 0.0, and size of the cells is printed correctly by the Pixma Pro-100.

Jim, thanks for your help and have a great week!

  • Changing the default settings for printing in Office Picture Manager

Anyone know how to change the default setting for printing in Office Picture Manager?

I have a user who clams that when they try photo printing settings in Office Picture Manager has been configured to print bac2 and paper 4 x 6.  Now when it prints, it must use the drop-down list boxes to tell it to print from bac2 and paper 4 x 6.
I changed the default settings of the printer to print from the bac2 and use paper 4 x 6, but they must still use the drop-down list boxes in Picture Manager.
    Thank you!

Although I maded the changes to the properties of the Windows printer I had to do that to solve the problem.

    To solve the problem:

    1. once in the print of the image window there is a link 'Options '.... "at the bottom right.

    2. once it's a click a print settings window that opens there. You will need to click on the link 'printer properties '.

    3. now the printer Document Properties window appears. Change of Source paper and media here.

    4. click on the OK button and now it's good to go.

    Hello
This can happen when printing over the network due to a problem with the operating system while performing a print job using the WSD Protocol, which is the default protocol used by the operating system.

Microsoft has released a patch that should answer this question.

Install the hotfix below and check differences:

  • Should I convert Prophoto RGB to sRGB in the Lightroom print module?

My question is about my image sending over for my Epson printer via the Lightroom print Module: when I'm ready to print from Lightroom (after the back and forth-Photoshop and back) I have a final image in Prophoto RGB ready to print. Lightroom manages print colors (not the printer). I'm supposed to do a final conversion of ProPhoto RGB to sRGB in the Lightroom-print module, before sending it to my printer Epson R3000? If yes I can't find how do in the print module.  I just sent the Prophoto RGB image for the printer Epson R3000 via printing from Lightroom module being (Lightroom manages color, not the printer). Am I missing a final in sRGB conversion and all simply not seen how via the print module?

    PLEASE READ:

    (1) I KNOW do Lightroom and the paper profile, manage the color and not to let the printer manage. It all works very well.

    (2) I KNOW not if I export a jpg on the web (do not print) convert to sRGB in the export dialog box.

    (3) I correctly my color spaces selected as ProPhoto RGB in my preferences of Lightroom and Photoshop, everything works fine.

    (4) my EIZO monitor is calibrated, I use appropriate document profiles.

Forgive me if listing these things seems obnoxious, it is not my intention. I find that give lots of information is useful to those who might respond.

    Thanks in advance.

    Jim

I've never felt the need to convert. I have mild in using the profile paper appropriate to the evidence and then let Lightroom it's thing. Is there something wrong with the prints you do what makes you think that you need to convert?

  • Lightroom prints vertical lines on my pictures

When I print a photo from Lightroom, it has vertical lines about 8 millimeters throughout the picture.  Very fine they´re.  In fact when I look at close-up, it seems that it s print vertical of 8mm strips and each band is perhaps one pixel above or below the band beside her.

However, if I use another program photo prints perfectly.

I ve tried several settings in Lightroom, but I can´t get that this corrected.  Someone at - it ideas?

Lightroom is to update v4.4.  Mac OS x 10.7.  Canon MG5400 printer.  I ve installed the last printer driver (if it s only Lightroom who has this problem so I Don t think he can be the drivers).

  • Lightroom print incorrect size

I'm not new to Lightroom, but I just upgraded to LR5 and I have trouble printing to the right size.  I do all the settings in the print module based on my desired impression and the prints are always bigger that the parameters indicate. For example; I tried to print a picture 6 x 9 "and I continued to get prints that are 6 1/16" x 9 3/16 ".  Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

You select "Borderless" when you print your photo? It is usually the cause of images being intensified after that Lightroom sends the file to the printer drivers.

  • Lightroom printing instructions

Does anyone know of a good link to one video or another tutorial that explains how to use the print module?  I find this module entirely intuitive from printing in photoshop.  It seems that he has no idea the image PPI size values that I implemented in my files.  If I create an 8 x 10 image in photoshop and align on LR to print, I want to print at 8 x 10 and use the driver printer to choose my paper format, in this case 8.5x11.  But I can't understand how something as simple as this.   Obviously, I need to spend time learning to use the LR print Module.  Can someone point me in the right direction?

Didn't see these questions in my email, so I didn't answer at first.

I use the custom package option and I created a model with 4 x 6 "top 20 images to print on paper roll 24".  I dropped all my images, just cropped to the ration of 4 x 6 but not all the same PPI, in the model.  I can see that the images all have different values of PPI.  When lightroom sends images to my printer in a single file, what resolution PPI should I use?  It uses the PPI down images and reduce the rest?  That all fits the image of higher resolution DPI?  Or it all reduce to 240ppi or another number?  And what method should I use to evolve upwards or downwards?

If you uncheck the option of printing resolution, Lightroom sends images in their native resolution to the size you are printing. Thus, for example, a pixel image 4288 x 2848 (typically 12 megapixels) 4 x 6 "will be printed at 720 dpi. Another picture in the same provision is perhaps more low resolution, and it will get sent to the printer at this lower resolution. Each image is sent separately. Lightroom does not have a full picture page at a certain resolution, but simply indicates the printer: "at coordinate x =... and y =... and size... x... print the following image. The printer renders the page in its internal memory before engaging it to paper. I don't think there is an upper limit for the ppi of the Lightroom images will send to the driver and it's 720 ppi I think but don't quote me on that. The reason is simply that there is absolutely no reason to send more information, because it will only slow down printing and not resulted in no further details.

LR apply sharpening to the image/images?  Is it worth it to each image separately?  And if it does apply it before or after that she adjusted to a coherent PPI?

It is applied to each image separately and as far as I know, it is applied after the scaling (if you set a print of course resolution, if it is done at the native size of the image!)

When I did all this 'me' in Photoshop, I created an action to resize each image individually to a common PPI and then refine each image.  I lower then every image on my Web.  When I started to print several photos on roll paper, I sharpened after putting images on the Web and this caused sharpening artifacts where two photos met.  And way more sharpening algorithms print jobs is that they must be in print resolution and you must know the size of output before sharpen you.  And that's why I put in place actions to work the way I did.  LR also works this way?

As I explained above, Lightroom displays the fundamentally different pages, then you have done in the method of the canvas. Each image is processed separately (scaling to the desired resolution and the impression of sharpness), the printer then restores the canvas based on positioning of image he can find. This fact there have never sharpening artifacts you describe on the edges of the images.

  • Printer HP Officejet Pro 8100 - envelope to print with a picture

    Hello-

I try to print an envelope with a picture on it #10.  I can print a regular envelope using Mailings > envelopes.

I use mailings > envelopes > add to the Document to print the envelope with the picture on it, but I get a paper size mismatch error.  Is it going to be possible, or do I have to order labels?

    See screenshot below:

    Hi @jbald,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I recommend that you try to print an envelope with another application (program), to see if MS Word 10 is at the origin of the problem. For example, Apache, OpenOffice.

I mentioned that, if the solutions above does not solve the problem. You will need to contact the developer of the application for assistance.

The issue is not with the printer because it prints correctly ordinary envelopes.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!
