Link text toString in ChoiceBox

Hello

When I add items to a ChoiceBox, their ToString() - method is used to determine the text of the label. However, the ChoiceBox is not aware of the changes. The same problem arises with ListView and make, but in this case, I can write my own cell implementations that support of the update. ChoiceBox, toString () - calls seem to be hard-coded.

Is it possible to link the ChoiceBox items so that they change dyamically? I have an ObservableValue < String > (in fact even a property < String >) on my ChoiceBox items that I want to appear on the label. The only way I see currently is completely rewrite ChoiceBox skin (which is not a good idea, because it impacts portability and will probably break on JavaFX 8).

In general: Y at - it something like toStringProperty() or toStringObservable() in JavaFX (maybe in future releases) which would see the value of an object's toString?

Thanks for any help!

Philipp

You can use a ComboBox instead of a ChoiceBox? Like ListView, ComboBox allows you to define a cell factory, so you would be able to write your own implementation of the cell.

    The last link of these pages are always displayed vertically. I've done more laps that I know not to try to solve this problem (including links hyper text in a list in a tab, but it keeps going that way no matter what).

    If you have already encountered this problem, thanks for sharing!

    I put links hyper texts in tables and it solved the problem. I try this in the first place, because the html tables are only supported for jde 4.6 (http://docs.blackberry.com/en/developers/deliverables/11843/BlackBerry_Browser-Fundamentals_Guide--5...).

    But if you only use

  • Bug: New editor-in-Chief "Insert link...". "does not link text?

    We were unable to upgrade many of our clients for the new editor because they have grown dependent on feature "Custom links" former editor that added the link by using the name of the module as the link for the link text. For example, in the former editor, if you have added a link to a piece of media download it would look like this:

    Revised April 2011

    It made him very simple and intuitive for end-users to add basic links to items in the module. They their selected in the list and a 'ready to go' link was inserted for them.

    However, the system now offers the following when you click on this same point with "insert links...". "in the new editor:

    LiteratureRetrieve.aspx? ID = 12345

    Some would say "Just select and edit text." (.. .assuming you know / remember the name that you have given this particular element)

    HHowever, If do you this with the new editor, it attaches automatically link to just the first letter you type, having for result something like this:

    Nname of ew

    This, of course, can now only be corrected using the HTML mode, which, ironically, is what the editor is supposed to be helping users to avoid!

    Also, this seems to be the case for all links created with the new editor (, new pages, FAQ, etc), so I'm really confused as to how there is no mention of this problem anywhere, by anyone.

    IMHO, this (oversight?) must be addressed as a priority, because it clearly undermines the essential purpose of having a WYSIWYG editor there in the first place!

    Or maybe I should just now seeking customers with ability of HTML coding?

    If I'm missing something, please let me know, but for now, the new editor in Chief is a "no-go" for most customers because this 'link to fundamentals creating' ability was rendered useless to them.

  • How to remove the 'link text' of an action link

    Hello world

    After searching the forum and the web with no luck, I need help on this topic. I work with many reports pointing to other dashboards. These dashboards have been created in 10 OBIEE and migrated to 11.1.1.3.
    What we wanted to do (and combined in 10g) should be able to click on some data (on a value of a graph, a column value in a header table) and go to an another dashboard. OBIEE 11g for this criteria-> columns-> Interaction Properties tab and selecting the action links.

    11 g, when do this Action of links and clicking on a value, appears a link 'text' (screenshot: [https://picasaweb.google.com/102130000310148493868/Screenshots#5646178057282726354]), so that the user must carry out 2 clicks (the one on the value and the other in the link text).

    Is there a way to delete this text link? It can be a bit boring if there is always an option and unnecessary.

    Thank you

    Hi Elena!

    In the tab Interaction (in the column properties window), once you create the action, you will be just there a checkbox that says: "can't be a popup if only an action link is available during execution. Clik on the box and you're ready to go!

  • page link text disappears when the link is run

    I have a page with lots of links and e-mail links on page 2 Web using Dreamweaver CS5.5.  During the test, I was able to first see the text for all of the links on the page.  Whenever I click on a link, the text so that it is empty, but the link works fine.  After that, there is an empty space on the page where the link text had been, but when the mouse enters it, the link is displayed and can be run again.  He NEVER comes back.  I can't test on another computer and initially, the text is there but not after execution of the binding.  It's as if the text is just sucked out of the page.  Here is the link to the page that I have tested.  I used Insert > Email to put in place email links and typed in links to web pages 2.

    Not too surprising, really.  This is what happens when you have white text on white background links.

    {body

    background-color: #FFFFFF; / * It's white * /.

    }

    a: visited {}

    color: #FFFFFF; / * It's white * /.

    text-decoration: none;

  • I can't change the color of the linked text?

    I have a black background on the side of my web page containing the menu bars, which requires that the link text is white, so it can be
    view. I also changing to yellow when you go over it.

    The problem is that this setting seems universal throughout the site and I can't see the links in the general text (such as ' contact)
    links, etc.) on each page to change color - they default to white that does not appear as the background is also white.

    I tried to create a CSS rule for the links in the body of a page, but nothing helped.

    Can I change the color of links on different parts of the Web site?

    I'm relatively new to dreamweaver with little knowledge of CSS, etc, but I don't know that this should be possible.

    Yes, it is possible to have Different color links...

  • Design mode link text appears tiny

    Hello
    I use DW CS3 for a few days. Everything seems to be the same that DW 8, but some texts of link appear tiny in the design mode window split in CS3. They appear in a 'normal' size (as labeled) DW 8.

    Any ideas what to edit in CS3? Unfortunately there seem not to be any possibility of import of DW 8, DW CS3 settings such as the colouring of the code, no matter what. So I changed everything in CS3 (hopefully all) like in DW 8. (A tedious task using 2 computers, because DW 8 does not open when CS3 is installed and open).

    I use an external stylesheet, which makes the menu link appear white on Blue:

    {A:Link}
    do-family: Arial, Helvetica;
    font size: xx-small;
    color: #ffffff;
    text-decoration: none
    }

    A: visited {}
    do-family: Arial, Helvetica;
    font size: xx-small;
    color: #E4F90A
    }

    Hover {}
    do-family: Arial, Helvetica;
    font size: xx-small;
    color: #E5EA60
    }

    {A: active}
    do-family: Arial, Helvetica;
    font size: xx-small;
    color: #af2626
    }

    In the middle of the page, I have another link, which should appear in blue on a background image. If I tag it manually in html:

    < a href = "arhontikophotos.html" > < font color = "2C3A82" size = "2" face = "Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" > < b photos > Arhontiko Villa < /b > < / police > < /a >

    On the web page in a browser, it seems well defined. In the CS3 design window, the letters of "Villa Arhontiko photos" are so tiny, they are almost unreadable. It is quite difficult to work like this.

    Maybe can someone help?

    Thank you
    JML

    There is really no need to use to do this - just assign the class
    to the anchor tag.

  • How can you make linked text change appearance on focus

    Acrobat Professional XI, wish I could do text linked to change appearance on mouseover or keyboard focus. For example, change the font color, the font size, become "BOLD", to underscore appears... as an element in a table of contents or a URL in the text of a document.  How can you do this?  Also, can you do the link itself area change of color on the development of mouse or keyboard (before clicking on it)? Thank you.

    It is not possible to do so if the underlying text is just static. You can do so if it is a part of a Field object.

    The same happens to change the color of the box itself. Possible with a field, not a binding object.
