• Of linked text boxes in Pages?

  I have several old templates for address labels Avery who have 21 areas of text (3 columns/7 ranks) linked together on one A4 page. Text will flow through these boxes so that I can add or remove addresses to maintain alphabetical order.

  Unfortunately, the current version of Pages active is more this feature. What other affordable editing of text or PAO y which do not have this capacity?

  Do you still have Pages ' 09, a DVD of iWork ' 09 retail, or in your Applications: iWork ' 09 file. It is processing a more reasonable price and the only one who can open these old templates while retaining the text boxes.

• Two columns of text in a text box. How?

  Hello everyone.

  I came across a paragraph styles video trick that shows two areas of text with two columns in them, and I can't understand how they were made. The first text box displays a game schedule, only the second poster dummy text. At first, I thought they were two of linked text boxes with hidden edges, but then I realized that they were not as you can see the box to run across the two columns of text. Check out the video so that you can see what I mean. Can someone help me please?

  With your selected area type object, you can go to Type > area Type Options... and change your settings for column y.

• Layered text boxes

  I try to layer text boxes in Indesign and can not understand.  I have several pages with linked text boxes, but I want to create a new text box on some pages to display a new one; as a Medallion.  I hope that makes sense, suggestions on how to achieve this?  This is probably very simple, I have not found the right command or tutorial!

• Autoflowing multiple text boxes

  I'm working on a long document (400 pages) that contains two areas of text not linked on every page.

  If I had just a text box with overflow text, indesign creates all the necessary pages with linked text boxes.

  
  I have done several times before.

  But there is a second box on every page, also with overlowing content that should flow to the corresponding box in the following pages.

  I'm hoping to avoid manually linking this second box to all subsequent.

  Is this possible?

  File > Place...  Choose file 1 (or two files if they are in the same folder). Go to the page where you want to start. If it uses the same template as the rest of the pages to add, not replace, hold down the SHIFT key and click inside the main frame of this story. New pages will be added based on this mask, so they will already contain frames for the second story on the master page. Place history NDDN similarly on the first page of holing the SHIFT key.

  If you need to have a real parallel flow with several paragraphs of different lengths on the same page, for example, with all the numbers, aligned with the first line of each paragraph of the text, it's a little harder to achieve. Much easier if each page contains only a single set that you can use options keep paragraph style to force everyone starting on the next page.

  For several paragraphs, it would be easier to use anchored objects to maintain numbers, but there is no way anchored thread frames. It is possible to use the data merge, too, if no paragraph must cross a page boundary. More details on the project would help us find a good solution.

• CS2 erase content and the text box

  I use CS2 on Windows. I have a file of 30 pages with the linked text boxes on each page with anchored objects. I would remove the first 10 pages, but NOT the text of these areas of 10 text wrap on the remaining pages. Is there a way to delete the text boxes AND their content before deleting these pages, that I don't have to highlight all of the text on them, remove it, then delete the text boxes themselves?

  Ah ha! You need a script! I use CS2 and I only found on the scripts - you can find them on the CD-ROM or get you it from here (scroll to CS2.) Put them in the folder scripts in your presets folder, open the palette scripts (on Windows) and here they are. There are two useful in your goal - we split the history in separate text boxes, one pops up a text box in the story. Just select your text box and double-click the script.

  (Of course, once you cut your text out of the herd area you can remove it).

• Copy text boxes related - jump

  I'm in CS3. I have a document from the 60-some page with linked text boxes. I copied and pasted the text of Word (Office for Mac 2004). There are about a dozen paragraph styles used in the document. This is a calendar, with class title, paragraph description, location/date/time. I have problems with sections of copy jump to the next page. I can't settle in one line. Even if there is plenty of room at the bottom of a page, it pulls chunks of copy up next. I looked in the story editor and don't see anything fishy.

  Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

  Again, this is a Keep with Next function. Looks like you have the paragraph preceding the RULE head to keep with a number of lines after. The paragraph preceding the head the Keep with Next value: 0 rows. You probably want to assign all your paragraphs - except your head - Keep with Next: 0 rows. Heads in general a text must be stuck to them. Usually in the books you don't want a head alone at the bottom of the page. So you would head to keep with the following: 2 lines and everything the Keep with Next value: 0 rows.

• Automatic text box

  I plan to do a layout for an encyclopedia, in Indesign CS3,
  the format is two columns on all pages
  10 volumes, 500 + pages in each volume.
  My Question:
  So how do you 500 pages two columns with a linked text box? is it automatic or I have to do it manually?

  Use 'shift' by placing. Who will be "auto format" text. You will need

  to decide whether you want a simple text with two columns frame, or

  two separate text blocks. I suggest that read you about it.

• I can't click in a text box or click a link online. I can however in the toolbar. Any ideas please?

  For example, the text box in Google or link and menu buttons drop-down buttons in the Amazon. I can access google through the toolbar. Other user accounts on this computer appear to be good.

• Why my links do not work in the text box next to the e-mail in Outlook?

  I created an email template in Eloqua, which is a two-column layout. The text box on the left has links that work very well. The text box on the right has links that do not work. This only occurs in Outlook. If I find the email in an another e-mail client, all right. What could be wrong causing the links is not working?

  If another person has ever run into this and found a solution, please let me know. I'm pulling my hair out!

  I called support this morning and all I had to do was move the text box on the right side to the top of a few pixels and now everything works fine. I guess when the two tables are the same height, Outlook rides them and cannot process the links properly. I like it when it's an easy solution!

  You have not 'need' ajax to do this. You could do with the plain old javascript by applying a value property for the text box id to an onclick event. I slapped it together a little example for you based on HTML DOM Textarea value property

• text box linking to the previous used document

  For some reason when I click on a text box, it opens the previous indesign file that I saved for the current file I'm working on. It pops up in front of the file I'm working on which is very annoying! There is a new feature that creates a link to previous files, that you saved?

  I am trying to create a text through the comments toolbar box and set a link to a page in the same pdf. Using the Connector tool does not show an option to create a link to a text box or in the text created through the typewriter tool. I'm using Acrobat 9 Pro. Thank you

  An action to go to another page in the document can be attached only to a form or a link object field. When you add text using the typewriter tool that you add an annotation, which cannot do.

  Is it possible to set up a text box with text and then edit the text to include a hyperlink in the browser edition with a site hosted on a third party server?
