  This Flash issue drive gives me fits, so I hope that one of you may have experienced this before. Websites visited on this Tablet does not recognize Adobe Flash Player. I have installed Adobe Flash Player version 11.5.502.135 for Internet Explorer.   Well, I use Internet Explorer 9. What gives? I tried to uninstall and reinstall Flash player. No luck. ActiveX filtering is disabled. The Shockwave Flash Object add-on is activated. I ran a few antivirus updates and find a bunch of signatures, but I removed immediately. (Malwarebytes, Spybot S & D)

  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I'm about to nuke the hard drive and start over.

  Thanks for the reply.  Sorry if I wasn't clear on my previous post.  That's right, that the page incorrectly detect the browser like Opera. I was with IE9.  It was very strange.

  (Adobe) Shockwave Flash is the Flashplayer plugin. You have version 11.1 installed r102, which is the latest version. Adobe is responsible for the name, not Mozilla.

  Do not confuse Flashplayer with "Adobe/Macromedia Shockwave player" that is an old, but still used, product. Adobe is responsible for confusion, not Mozilla. Shockwave player (which, it seems, you have not installed), would show under your Plugins as "Shockwave for Director.   Hi, it would probably be best to have your own thread, but to save you the trouble of typing whole, I'll see what I can do. I have not checked for a few days to see if Mozilla Firefox updated the browser since 6/26. It is 3.6.6. The 3.6.4 was created by design by Firefox Flash Player crash on purpose in order to not crash the browser Firefox together. Then a lot of complaints from users of Farmville and other brought up-to-date 3.6.6 so to extend the timeout and give more time for them to load before crashing.

  Now the 10.1 has the hardware acceleration feature that is enabled by default. Many users find that turning it off has helped. In addition, it is recommended to update the graphics and the latest video drivers. These three things helped in the use of the 10.1, because there is no other issue.

  To disable hardware acceleration, just go on youtube (videos load faster it I'm told), right-click on the video as soon as it starts and you should see a display setting that turns off.

  I don't know what to do. I installed the new version of flash player (64-bit) on IE (64-bit windows 7) and it shows it installed correctly, but if I try to watch a video, it will not be displayed. In youtube, the video comes just to the black top and other Web sites, that the box is just blank where the video is meant to be.   Yes, it looks like a fake popup.  Adobe would never use Times New Roman in a dialog box.  It's all sans serif around here.
