Link tools preset to a layer / (Posible)

Suppose I created a dedicated to healing (color code RED) layer. In this case could do a Script, once I've selected this layer, the tool changes in the "Preset" I linked to it, the Healing Brush

To select the tool Checker task, it would look like this...

  • Question of tool Presets

    I'm trying to understand how to manage custom tools in Photoshop CC 2015 (latest version).

    Background: I got three .tpl files for a lynda.com course "Photoshop CS6 News: brushes."  Let's call them, X.tpl, Y.tpl and Z.tpl.  In the preset manager, I put the Preset Type = tools, then charged each of the files .tpl using the button load.  As each loaded file, the preset in the Preset Manager list grew. The list is in alphabetical order, while it was impossible to say what predefined have been newly added to each pressure on the Load button.

    Here's my question: in the preset manager and the tools Panel preset, the flyout does not display the predefined custom tools that I just loaded.  In other words, it does not display a X, Y and Z.  It shows only the predefined default settings.  If I want to delete one of the custom tool presets I just added (say those of X.tpl), the only way I can see to do is restore the default settings (drop-down menu-> reset the predefined tools).  But then I lose ALL the presets of X.tpl, Y.tpl and Z.tpl.

    Here's my question: How can I determine which tool presets comes from a given file (say X.tpl), and how to manage these presets independently of the presets added from a different file (say Y.tpl)?

    Because I couldn't find a way to make the inside of Photoshop, I looked in the Windows file system for where Photoshop can have stored tools built-in, thinking I could simply remove them.  But there are no files with the extension .tpl anywhere in [drive]: \Users\ [user] \AppData.  Clearly, Photoshop is hiding in a magical place.  Is it possible to manage the presets in this way?

    Problem solved.  I had put the .tpl files in the wrong directory.   After I moved into the correct directory...

    [drive]: \Users\ [Username] \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2015\Presets\Tools

    ... and restarted Photoshop, I now see X, Y and Z menu drop down preset tools.

    When adding a new preset tool, Photoshop CS6 used to place your new preset in your panel presets toolp existing in alphabetical order.

    Lately, in doing so, it stopped - he puts just the new preset at the bottom of the list, forcing me to go into the Manager of presets and then laboriously dragging the new preset from the bottom of the list in his position correct-classified in alphabetical order. Is not sound like a big deal to most people I don't know, but my list of tool presets has several presets of hundreds, maybe even more than a thousand.   • How to fill out the selector tools preset?

    When I select the custom shape tool, the selector tools preset in the upper right is empty despite the fact that there is that a few dozen loaded Custom Shapes as can be seen in the preset manager. But how do these charged forms appear in the Chooser?

    If I go to flyout pickers pre-defined tool and select load preset tools and navigate to shapefiles .csh, they appear in light gray, IE, they can be open/load.

    With no form in the selector, I don't know any way to access the loaded Custom Shapes as seen in the preset manager.

  • Links tool > select all selects links on the current page only

    Using the link tool and choosing Select all to select all links in the document. Something has changed so that now it selects only the links on the current page only. Is there a preference setting that controls the selection (current page or document)? If there is, I changed it by mistake and need to know how to change back. If this is not a setting, preferably, is - that someone had the same problem?

    It depends on the display mode. If you visit the pages in the form of simple pages,

    Only links on the current page are selected.

  • LINK TOOL - I can not select the Exact location

    I use the link tool in Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Pro for a few years and have recently encountered a new problem. When I try to draw the box for the link, Adobe is forcing me to draw in 1/2 inch increments. I click and hold a place to begin to draw the link box, but when I move the mouse down to try to frame the text, the box does not start drawing until I get about 1/2 in. away from my original location.

    Normally, I can make the box of any size I want, down to the pixel. The links are now forced into segments of 1/2 inch closer than Adobe, it's choosing. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a setting where I can change this?

  • Clips of images are not stay in line with selection tool when dragging a layer to another

    Hey guys, an annoying problem with the selection tool in first pro. Basically when I go to drag a clip on one layer with the selection tool the clip does not stay with my cursor... I drag the upward and the video goes two layers under my cursor... As I slide left or right, there any kind of a mind of its own... goes up a layer or to the bottom of the other. I can put the clip where I want, but I may move my cursor to selection tool several layers above the one I want to drag on... His slow me wayyyyy... How can I get it so that it remains in the video clip with the selection tool cursor? It used to work fine, but now it doesn't.

    So I got on the chat with adobe... and they put me on the remote access... They have nothing, but all of a sudden, now there is no problem? Everything they have done has been to open google earth on accident!

    I find the predefined tools so confused. I've created several toolkits and one I want to delete in the drop-down list. How can I do this?  I lost so much time trying to understand this. You are my last resort.

    To remove all remove my Paint Tools.tpl file located in the Tools folder the slot location. You can also navigate to the folder the crib of Preset tools by selecting 'Load predefined tools', and then remove the .tpl file. You will need to restart PS to load the Preset change.

    Default memory

    The default location to save/load/replace the predefined settings depends on your operating system.

    • Windows 7 and Windows Vista: [drive]: \Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop [version_number]\Presets.
    • Mac: Library/Application Support/Adobe/AdobePhotoshop [version_number]/ Presets.

    Try resetting all the Photoshop tools. If that does not resolve the problem, try resetting your Photoshop Preferences in Photoshop preferences

    There used to be icons to create an anchor, one for an e-mail link and a third for a link to a document.  In Dreamweaver CC2015, these tools are not visible.  They are always available and how to get it back?  Thank you.

    • It is y o anchors named more, the structure must now provide an ID for an element, which in turn serves as an anchor.

  • Link a shape to a layer

    I drew a rectangle around a word on a book cover using the marquee tool.

    Now, I want to spend them both together (the word and the border indicates), but only the word moving, not the rectangle that surrounds it.

    Is it possible to connect them, so that they move together?

    Yes. First of all, don't forget the two layers are side by side in the stack of layers, and then click to select layers, then layer > merge layers. You can also just click on the little icon of the string at the top of the Panel layers to keep separate the layers that will move the entire way, what is the best if you want to keep text editable.

  • Pen tool on a new layer keeps bouncing back to the original layer

    I'm on a Windows 7 using Illustrator CC machine, using a mouse with the pen tool.

    I created shapes on a layer and totrace now want just outside of these shapes on a different layer. It worked pretty well in the first two forms that I did with (at the time consisting of ellipses in layers to create a special form), but on this third one, she keeps bouncing me to the original layer. It is the only form which includes the straights, but I see no reason that could prevent me from being able to outline shapes on a different layer. Any idea what I might hurt?

    Have you tried the forms of blocking layer? If you track on another layer and accidentally click on an active anchor on the first layer (or lower) will call you suddenly on this layer.

  • Tool move moves wrong layer...

    Something has changed. I always stick a picture on a layer and select the layer and use the tool move to move around until it is placed where I want. Now I paste the image, select the layer, choose the move tool and the selection of the layer jumps to another layer, and it gets moved.

    Anyone else having this problem (CS5)?

    Take a look in the top tool bar for a checkbox. If it comes to activate you can select a layer by clicking on the canvas, if it is not checked, then you need to select the layer in the layers panel or use the change button to select on the canvas.

  • Gradient tool works only with layer masks...

    Hello, I'll start by saying that I'm not an expert in photoshop by any means... but I usually managed to get my projects done with a bit of fusion.

    At the moment I'm trying to fade out the last inches of a photograph, so it blends more into circles on which it is placed.

    If I use the gradient tool, the value "in the foreground to Transparent" I get good effect, but instead of fading to transparent, happening in white... what doesn't work when I move the layer over a colored background.

    I have read and watched many tutorials on this, and they say all create a layer mask, then use the gradient... but for some reason whenever I the mask of the selected layer the gradient tool will not work...

    Can anyone give advice? I've been playing with this for hours...

    And ensuring that the blending mode for the gradient tool is set to Normal.
