Links to local external media?

I don't see it going through the documentation, which is why the post.

Using the desktop (online) application, I want to set a reference to an external file, call it "active". In script mode, I want to add links to files in this folder so that I have an associated with the area of the script that I'm quick to say Flash files or 3D. In this way, I can click on the link and open a FLA file or a file 3D for examination or treatment. Comments window might be a good place to place these links.

In a team atmosphere, each links users wouldn't be usable by the user by clicking on the links of their own files. In other words, I can click on the links that are in my area of the user, but I can't click on the links in your user area. If I'm not mistaken, this would not voilate the Flash Platform Security sandbox and I would have quick access to external local media files I'm trying.

I don't see this possibility in the documentation, so if it already exists, I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Thanks - that's a beta of excellent product.

At the moment there is no way to create a link to an external file. Sounds like a good feature request.

Although you can create links to web pages both within a document and the project.

Thank you

  • Software BlackBerry BlackBerry Link cannot display Windows Media Player library

    Hello

BlackBerry link shows me an empty m usic library even if I have thousands of tracks in my Windows Media Player library. There was a time, it worked, but since a month Blackberry link displays a message: "there is no track in your Windows Media Player library. I reinstalled the software a bunch of times and have always chosen the Windows Media Player - not have iTunes installed. All other functions operate.

Anyone an idea what to do?

    Thank you very much!

    Kilian

    Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (64-bit)

    BlackBerry link 1.2.3.48 (32 bit)

    BlackBerry OS 10.2.1

Windows Media Player 12.0 (32 bit)

    Solved it myself:

I deleted the Windows Media Player library database (= all files in the C:\Users\NAMEOFTHEUSER\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media drive) - therefor I had to close all programs (all programs BB, the wmplayer and wmplayer network service). After the removal of the database, Windows Media Player has revamped its database and link BB finds the database.

  • A link to an external .js to PDF?

Using Acrobat 9 Pro, I have a PDF file that I want to make a link to an external .js file (for SCORM and LMS). I imported a media object (swf) into the PDF file, and it must appeal to several Javascript functions. Instead of copy/paste each function in each PDF Javascript code (menu path: Advanced > Document processing > Document Javascripts), is it possible to write a line of code that binds to an external .js file?

    In HTML, it would be something like < HEAD > < SCRIPT type = "text/javascript" language = "Javascript" SRC = "pdf.js" > < / SCRIPT > < / HEAD >.

    Possible?

This is not what means a script to the folder level. This means a script which is

located in a special folder so that it is started when Acrobat/Reader is

    launched, before opening any file.

If put you a function in a script, any PDF you open will have to

    access to this function.

You can learn more on this subject in the Acrobat JavaScript reference files.

  • link to the external URL of the swf online

Is it possible to post a link to an external URL of your flash website without going through the flashplayer prompt you to change your settings and allow access to this page? (this applies only to SWF files read through a browser)
the only way around this that I found is not very helpful - must be an xml file that is small on the host server where the page you want to link to. I seriously doubt each site you want to link to you will put an xml on the server host file just so you can access their page. the code in the xml file indicates right flashplayer the website you are trying to access is safe. It is called crossdomain.xml
someone at - it a response?
    Thank you!

No, it isn't. getURL() causes no security problem, except if you try to open the local html and access (try to) something on the internet.

unless your "flash site" is the local computer poses no security problem. If your computer is a Web server, you simply define the security settings for your local file and give it permission to access the internet.

  • How fix oblivion previously opened tabs when Firefox starts by clicking on a link in an external application?

Hello, I have the boot option: "show my windows and tabs from last time" activated. Works fine, except when Firefox starts when I click on a link in an external application (typically Thunderbird). Then, the new link is opened in a new tab, Firefox remembers the number of tabs I had open when I finally closed it, but all of the 'old' tabs are empty. Somehow fix this behavior?

Deactivation of the modules does not help. By clicking on a link in an external application when Firefox is already open works OK. I use Firefox for some time short (probably half a year) and this problem was still there (not that is not due to a new update).

    Thank you.

If Firefox is closed, and an external link opens Firefox, you must go to history > recently closed tabs and open tabs before closing Firefox. If you don't 'last session' will be gone and only one page than the open external program will be the new "previous session."

If this is not satisfactory, you will need to install an extension of type "session manager" as well as "the last sitting" remember only.

    Search for AMO "session manager".

  • Is no longer able to follow links to local files.

In previous versions of firefox (28 and earlier) I was able to follow the links of local file with white list in the preferences of the user of the file as described here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Links_to_local_pages_do_not_work

This feature has stopped working with the update.

Update of information added by a moderator of the forum

    I Note

In order to meet the demands of the business users, the localfilelinks policy has been restored with Firefox 30. This allows users to follow links on a webpage (http:// or https://) local filesystem (file:///) especially on the company's internal applications. For now, Firefox Beta or the extension of fileuri caps created by a developer of Mozilla can be used to get around this restriction.

mentions caps-fileuri extension, but this seems to have been deleted. Is no longer in https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/caps-fileuri/ (original can be https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=8415447 )

Also note that a question perhaps is currently open

The prefs ' ability ' breakup is bug 995943.

Bobby Holley is working on an extension of this bug which could solve the problem.

  • Is there a way to make firefox to open hypertext links to local files?

My company has a system of custom Office and of course its developed for IE, but none of the engineers like IE. We all use and wish to continue using Firefox. The sections in the ticket system a a place for links to local files on a shared drive. I created the link and point to a word document. This hyperlink works fine in IE but it does nothing when you click in Firefox.

Of course the dev team gives me the line of old age '.NET play well with Firefox... developed for IE... blah blah use IE.»

Probably link to a local file as excel or word or even a directory is a simple idea and needs to be done somehow with FireFox right? Can someone help with that and give a suggestion how to make this work?

    For example:
    N:\KNOWLEDGE BASE\Cisco price List\2012\pricelistaugust2012.xlsx
I'm trying to share with a hyperlink as:

Looking for suggestions on how to make this work. Thank you very much!!

I think there are two aspects to this:

    (1) URL format

If you access this file using the dialog box of the browser open the file (Ctrl + O), you can get the format of practical link for it. For example, the separators will be oblique instead of backslashes.

    (2) local file security

Firefox limits access to pages on web servers, to pages on the local drive or UNC paths. This article has more information: links to local pages don't work - MozillaZine Knowledge Base. This extension provide a workaround: LocalLink (I have not tried myself).

  • IPhoto migration from an external drive: stuck with hard links to the external hard drive

I got my IPhoto library on an external drive. To migrate to pictures, I dragged the IPhoto (on the external hard disk) file to the Photos icon.

Migration went well, but instead of importing data to the external hard drive to my macbook, Photos stored links on the external drive. Now whenever I start the Photos, the system tells me it takes the external drive to view the contents of the library.

To resolve this problem, I tried to copy my IPhoto library on my macbook and redo the import. It does not work: Photos, said the library has been upsized already (I noticed that the IPhoto library has been renamed 'iPhoto Library.migratedphotolibrary')

Is it possible to reverse the migration or mark the IPhoto library as not yet migrated? Any other suggestions?

    Thanks for your help!

Rename the copy of the iPhoto library on your internal drive to 'iPhoto Library.photolibrary '. Then drag the library renamed on the Photos icon and pictures will create a new photo library on your internal drive.

  • Windows 7 continues to write thousands of jpg files on c:\windows\serviceprofiles\networkservice\appdata\local\microsoft\media player\art cache\localmls subdirectory in the form of system files.

Let me describe what is happening. I used the 'get info' in iTunes to add various jpg work at the individual level of CD (i.e. selecting song at the same time) multiple. ITunes displays the work very well and works very well. Over a period of time, I noticed deterioration in system performance and when I tried to create a disc using CMS Bounceback Ultimate image has noticed that the number of files on my hard drive had increased from 250,000 to about 1 000 000. After much research and a bit of luck, I determined that Windows 7 has written these JPGs repeatedly in the subdirectory cache\localmls of c:\windows\serviceprofiles\networkservice\appdata\local\microsoft\media player\art. These are the same files jpg, I added in iTunes. When I discovered, there are about 700,000 of these small files in this subdirectory in the form of system files which are hidden files. I was able to remove these files first reset file attributes (attrib s h - r *.jpg) and using the del command. Unfortunately, the system continues to write the same files in the same sub and a few hours, I have thousands of these files written again. I checked the system for virus/malware using the latest versions of sophos, malwarebytes, and spy hunter. There is no malware reported by one of these programs. I also stopped Sophos and tried again but the problem persists. I have also rebuilt iTunes library by following the steps described by Apple, but this does not solve the problem. Any suggestions I can try next?

If not, perhaps, you create a batch file to run at startup or schedule tasks to remove *.jpg files that appear in this folder?

An approximate example of a batch file would be in this sense. It would be created in Notepad but recorded in a .bat file.

    C:
    CD "windows\serviceprofiles\networkservice\appdata\local\microsoft\media player\art cache\localmls".
    DEL *.jpg

    pause

This is only a rough guide and may need a lot of amendments by you that I'm not familiar with batch files, but it shouldn't be too hard to do. The batch by operating manually or in scheduled tasks file would need administrative privileges or the localmls access permissions set properly for the user.

  • Linking the local ID to the user (e-mail) online account - I get the error message in Windows 7

I tried to link my local user account with my Windows Live account and get an error on the RPC server not found message. I want to connect with my Windows Tablet that I've linked to my Microsoft account and want to do the same thing with my Windows 7 PC. When I click on add the ID I am sent to the download page of Windows that says: I'm to download Windows 7 ID Wizard, but which actually download is Windows Essentials 2011 and files do not include an assistant nor does it include Live Mail.

I use Outlook 2010 vs Live mail on my PC. That's the problem with a link to my online account?

I know that the wizard comes with Essentials, but I thought it was also available standalone. Let me dig on my Windows 7 machine when I get home. I also like that the link obsolete even: the new Essentials is 2012. Which in fact, it is perhaps worth a try. Go to http://get.live.com and start the download and see if you get the companion and then can just uncheck all others adverse (unless you want it, some of these apps are decent).

  • Why don't the folder Player\Art Cache\Local MLS \windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Media have the cover art for all tracks in iTunes

I worked on issues related to the time to do a full scan with MSE. I discovered that the MSE scan spent 4 hours going through the files in "\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\App Data\Local\Microsoft\Media Player\Art Cache\Local MLS". With the information of the community, I was finally able to access these files and watch. I was more then a bit surprised to find that the cover is the cover art for tracks I have in iTunes. I deleted some files and found out that the cover for iTunes still works. Windows Media Player is not just music cover art.

So anyone know why Windows Media Player load cover art files on my system for iTunes titles? It loads the same cover for each track in an album don't ask me there are as many files in this folder.

I have disabled the service "wmpnetwk" and if it does not start even when I restart the computer. Once again thanks to the community. So if I just delete these files that will be the end of the matter?

The Player downloads album art to a database online where the information is provided by a variety of non-Microsoft, as AMG data providers.

The Player downloads album art when you rip a CD. To do this, the Player tries to match the CD for an entry in the online database. If it finds a match, the Player automatically downloads the media information that is available for the CD, including album art. In addition, the reader travels periodically your library songs lacking album art. If it can match a song that is missing from the album art to an entry in the database online, the player will download the missing album art. For information about changing how the Player downloads album art and other media information, see the question bring the player to the difficulty of the media information automatically in media information: frequently asked questions.

Why is album art missing sometimes?

The player would not be able to download album art from the database in the following situations:

    • You are not connected to the Internet during extraction of a CD.

    • You are connected to the Internet, but the online database is missing album art (or there is no media information at all) for the CD you are ripping.

    • Your system administrator has prevented your computer to download items such as album art from the Internet.

    • You ripped the CD using one program other than Windows Media Player; doing so could prevent the player from a match in the database online.

Finally, if the online database contains album art wrong for a CD, the Player downloads this pouch.

The following procedures describe the methods that you can use to fix missing or incorrect album art.

"You cannot select this file, because it exceeds the maximum size set by the administrator of the Web site. Please select a file of less than 300 kilobytes. »

Of course, this is not a file, it tries to link the page, to what she tries to do and besides, a link is only about 16 k. In addition, she has no problem linking to other external sites.

    Hello

    You can try the following:

    • Open the Web site administration dialog box and select the links tab in the dialog of the Administration.
    • Now select the option: insert the links as it is.

Now, can you ask him to try to link the web page and check if it gets the error message.

  • Button links using the external pages

Hi everyone, loving every second I use Flash Catalyst.

I was wonder and looking for a way to make a button object catalyst able to make a link to an external page.

Now, what I do is basically using catalyst (in project) to create a menu for use in a CSS template,.

and I'm only a little stuck trying to figure this.

If I export for use in Flash Builder, which is a good step towards adding the link to the said button function?

If anyone knows how to do correctly to do this, let me know.

    Thank you.

"Catalyst has replaced my bordom with pleasure!

    Hey Mike!

Then, the button dispatches an event whenever it receives a click.

So, you could do the following:

Then, add a script block to your application, after and before, that looks like this:

    protected function handleClick (): void

    {

    navigateToURL (new URLRequest ("http://www.adobe.com"), '_self');

    }

    ]]>

It has more examples in the flex language reference documentation using buttons/events here:

    http://livedocs.Adobe.com/Flex/gumbo/langref/spark/components/button.html

I would like to know how it works for you, and again, it's a workflow we will reflect and hoping to make it easier for users in the future, stay tuned.
