  Restore point:

  Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

  Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

  Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  As Tesla has pointed out, the best way to do is to replace the 1 TB with the largest SSD HARD drive, and then let the mSATA SSD as boot drive. All the drivers and the operating system will remain unmodified on the SSD and you would just transfer your data from the HARD disk of 1 TB for the new SSD.

  The application purple397 talks about is AlienRespawn. It is factory preinstalled software that allows you to create backups to protect your data. With the premium version, you can create a backup or image on a disc of local storage. For more information, see the link above.

  1 of 5 email ACCOUNTS receive mail OK, but as soon as you leave this account and that you come back, nothing appears in the Inbox. The status bar shows however, that there are 32 emails it even if the Inbox is devoid of any text.

    Using Search, I can find ALL 32 emails by searching for a word in the subject field or the body fields. The mails ARE there!  They just do not display in the Inbox.

  It worked until the day before yesterday when I read an e-mail from a reliable source and it automatically disappeared, along with all others in the Inbox. All other accounts are working very well.

     I tried creating a new email account but it wouldn't let me, giving me an error that the "incoming already exists".  No number or anything; it come when I click DONE in the creation process.  The new account will not write to the disk.
  

  I ran NOrton, AVG, MalWare Bytes, Windows Defender, Spybot AV and the other that I forgot the name of that time. ALL showed nothing found after each live scan success. I'm reasonable sure, I have no malicious software.

  Emails from this account are quite important, and I don't want to lose them if possible; they are for a Committee planning the 50th high-school reunion.

  Windows 7 HP, Dell XPS L702, 6 Gig of RAM, Intel i7 processor and lots of disk space. I've also compacted without change. The messages are all still there, but nothing shows in my Inbox; It is empty. I only see them using Find Messages from words I know are in them.

    Happy to provide any other info needed to evaluate this.  Oh, the account Sends OK too; it's a POP3 account setup.

  I just bought a new EA4500 and implemented at home. Most of the stuff worked like a charm, except one. I don't see my NAS Synology on my network domestic byt its name.

  I have the router connected to the internet (local ISPS, PPPoE). I have the NAS connected by wire, two Windows 8 PCs connected wireless. There is also a TV (wired connection), a printer, some phones Windows and heightens. One of the PC does not see the SIN (the other can). It can connect to it by its IP address (in the browser, by ping), he can see his Media Server (I can play the music of the NAS in my Media Player), the TV sees the SIN as a DLNA media server... But the PC does not see the NAS by name.

  If I have a list of the devices connected on the router, I can see the NAS and its name. But the PC can't. What's wrong?

  Both computers have enabled file sharing. I have same SSH was to the NAS ind successfully ping the PC by name. For full disclosure, the PC has VMWare installed with the Windows 7 virtual machine.

  I does no settings to the router other than using the Cisco Connection Wizard and disabling wifi comments.

  Thank you. Any reboot didn't help. It happed to resolve itself eventually. I've been playing with the wifi and FIPS set parameters (and not defined). Then it worked. No idea if it was a coincidence.

  I want my firefox works as before. I don't want the tabs. The way it works now, is of all Web pages seem to go into an icon at the bottom. If I try to minimize a window, it does not return to the previous window, it goes to my desktop. VERY FRUSTRATING. I want to see all the Windows I have open, distributed along my bar tasks. If there is no solution for this, I'll Safari as I saw suggested elsewhere. Or another solution would be to go to an older version of Firefox that always worked normally.

  As test, could you open two new windows, a regular (Ctrl + n) one private (Ctrl + Shift + p) and describe how the taskbar display changes? Do you get the additional graphics next to the Firefox button simulating a "stack" of buttons? That's what I think that you normally get.

  If the problem is that you want different buttons rather than a stack, the Windows taskbar has a setting for it. Right-click the taskbar, click Properties, and then change buttons setting to never combine. (Screen attached)

  Firefox can also show each tab in the taskbar, but if you try to avoid using tabs, which is probably not relevant. For future reference, it's the setting here:

  You can deny access to your program executable files to the guest user if you wish.  Follow the steps here:

  To do this, you must Access the 'Security' tab in the file properties.  In XP Pro, you should disable "Simple file sharing" to access this tab:

• My Audio all just stopped playing

  The waveforms are still visible in the timeline panel and no indication anything is offline, but the meters are not mobile and I can't hear anything. I tried the other audio into my computer and it plays very well. I restarted the application three times and restarted my computer once. On this last launch, Adobe asked me to record my first copy (already under license). I did and he seemed happy, but I still don't hear any sound.

  Preferences > Audio hardware > Default Input and Output, both > Matrox MXO2 Mini and that works well for more than a week on this project alone, but I also tried with, I believe that all other input and output configurations. I noticed before the audio went, I had a few minutes of photo does not move forward or the location bar (whatever it's called) in the Panel Assembly moves do not.

  Sorry Hoh78, I got my answer by Matrox technical support phone (a very useful resource) and should be posted here. Here's what I learned, although it will not apply to your question. I also found on occasion as a complete reboot of the computer and the app can help. First a lot of hiccups.

  1. Preferences > Audio hardware > entry by default, the default output and master clock must all be on the line integrated, not Matrox
  2. Preferences > reading > sound device > Matrox player
  3. Apple System Preferences > Sound > Input and Output must be set to anything but Matrox

  Unfortunately, I went through an upgrade of El Capitan to discover that Aperture won't open on my machine. I decided on a test of creative cloud w / Lightroom in order to see if I can retrieve my locked albums far and decide whether to pay monthly fees for the CC. There is a lot of articles about the use of the importer of Aperture plugin for Lightroom, but these links all lead me to pages of error saying I'm looking for does not exist or is not available with my account. If there isn't, then I'm not interested to pay for Lightroom. If so, great, I'll upgrade. Can anyone confirm if this works if I am a paid subscriber?

  I gritted my teeth and paid for the subscription of the CC with Lightroom and the plugin worked fine. No problem at all.
