Linux RT - copy the file from the disk on USB

Hi migration my code to a target of VxWorks to one target Linux RT (9068), I'm having problems to run a piece of code that copies files from the cRIO on a USB drive!

This code works perfectly under my VxWorks (and same Pharlaps target). See attached VI.

Some files (100k.txt, 1M.txt,...) are present in the my drive 9068 tmp folder. And I want to transfer them to my USB Flash DRIVE (U).

The two folder exist when the code is running (checked with my WebDAV client).

When running, the copy function returns 'error 8': authorization error.

So I tried to check what was my permission on the folder U: 511. I tried to change the permission to 700: error 8!

I then checked 'who am I'-online lvuser. I then connected to my webpage cRIO-online user permissions => I added my lvuser 'FSRead' and 'FSWrite' rights. The reboot of the target. -Online copy of files always returns error 8!

However, it seems that I can create and write to a file in the folder U... I can read the files in the folder U... but not copy? !! ??

What is going on? Can someone tell me how to copy files from my cRIO on my USB drive? Why is it difficult to do the basic things?

Hi Paolo,.

As described in my second post, file tmp is not the problem.

I wrote to / c or even in/home/lvuser... Has not changed anything.

It seems to me that the cam of problem of the fact that a lvuser (default user executing code lv) can not fundamentally 'touch' files created or modified by an administrator...

In the first link you posted, at the end of the document, it is written:

"Access the file and folder permissions are not applied on targets in real time OR the operating systems VxWorks or PharLap.  Objectives NI Linux in real time, on the other hand, use and apply the standard Linux style file and folder access permissions. »

As I am not very familiar with the Linux environment, I might be nice to have more details about access permissions style of this linux standard.

My setup is a drive C and D inside the Tower, then a MyPassport external USB for weekly backups of player and a MyBook to USB 2 external rarely used to store large files. If I try to drag-and - drop or select the file and choose copy on the disk D then go to the folder target on the MyBook drive and choose Paste, all nothing happens. Yes,

This may be due to WD replacement of keys to default contextmenuhandler of the Explorer. I need to take a look at your registry database to diagnose this.

  • BSOD after copying the large number of files from one disk to another

Hello. I hope you can help because this issue is very frustrating. Just built a new PC:

-8 GB Corsair vengeance 1866 mhz
    -EVGA GTX 770 video
    -CPU Intel 4770K
-two hard drives of 1 TB WD black in RAID 1
-one ADATA 256 Gb SSD as drive OS
    -a 1 TB drive Toshiba
    -Windows 7 64-bit professional
    -F3 Bios Rev

System can work very well for everyday, but when I copy large number of files from one disk to another (i.e. 70 000 files, 80 GB), shortly after (10 to 30 minutes), I get a BSOD bugcheck.

I ran MEMTEST86 for hours without error. I can run PRIME95 with max heat without error. And as I said, it seems to be fine until I do a copy of large files. It seems not to matter to this disc, I copy to/from. Start WIndows, I see no activity CHKDISK. Ideas?

If all else fails, there's only so much you can do with an error like this, checking until it boils down to a faulty processor that needs to be replaced. Start from 1 and work down:

    1. make sure your temperatures are the norm and nothing is overheating. You can use a program such as Speccy if you want to monitor the time - http://www.piriform.com/speccy

2 clear your CMOS (or optimized load BIOS default) to ensure that there is no parameter incorrect BIOS - http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/tp/clearcmos.htm

    3. make sure that your BIOS is up to date.

4 if all else fails, the only one left to do is replace your CPU because it is defective.

  • Copy a file from one computer to another

    Hi all

I am trying to copy a file from a computer (where I program CVI) to another computer on the same network. How do I do? Can I use library functions plug supplied by C or y at - it of the other libraries available in labwindows?

    Thank you

CopyFile () in the library of the utility accepts UNC paths, so you can do something like this:

    CopyFile ("MyFile.txt", "\\\remotePC\\remoteFolder\\myfile.txt");

Avoid conflicts between this function and the corresponding Windows API function with the same name: read the online help for explanations.

Simpler is better, don't you think?

    Hi Tech Mom,

If you copy and paste a file or folder, it does not get deleted in the source location. It gets deleted in the source location when you cut and paste the file or folder. The article below explains how to copy and paste a file or folder.

  • How to copy a file from the client to the DB using WebUtil machine.

    We convert our forms 10g R1 forms 11g (Forms [64-Bit] Version 11.1.2.0.0).

Or 10g R1 forms that we use a bean called oracle.forms.demos.uploadclient.FileUploader to download files from our machines of client DB machine and sometimes the application server. Select the file (using the open dialog box file which is also part of FileUploader) and then give the directory of destination (from DB machine) using the IP address.

Problem is this bean File Upload does not work in forms 11g. So we need to use WebUtil.

Problem is, WebUtil has only a utility to copy the files to the client computer on machine App Server (Client_To_AS). Documentation, says 'download target directory.
must be in the transfer.appsrv.write list. Can we put any directory beginning with an IP address in the present name and use this Client_to_AS function to copy files from client to DB machine?

Or if not how transfer us files from the client computer to any machine in the network form 11 g?

Probably, if the upload form, it is important that a "commit" be properly executed. It was actually a problem we have seen with the demo of original webutil too, which has now been fixed. We were not making a commit and so, data were only available in the session as a result of the post, but not available outside the current session of forms.

My original disk Windows XP Home Edition is service pak 2.  I upgraded to service pak 3.  He still won't open the files to a disc that I got from an ebay seller.  One of my friends has an XP system that came as service pak 3 and it will open the files.  Windows 7 systems open the files normally.

Y at - it my version of XP Home upgrade that will allow him to open the files?  I read on a BitLocker on Windows 7 feature that is probably causing the problem.

  • I'm trying to copy picture files from C: to D: readers. How can I do

I need more space on my C: drive and you want to copy the image files on the D: drive and remove them from the C: drive.  I can't find a solution on how to do it.  BACK was easy, but there seems to be no program for that.

    Two ways:

    • Open a Windows Explorer window and navigate to the directory that contains the image files
    • Open a second Windows Explorer window and navigate to the drive D:\ (or to a new folder that you create on D: using file > New > folder).
    • Drag and drop in the 2nd window.  See http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Moving-and-copying-files-by-using-the-drag-and-drop-method you can do this one at a time or select multiple files using the CTRL or SHIFT key.  If you use the right instead of the left mouse button while you drag, you'll get a menu that allows you to choose whether you want to MOVE or COPY (best practice is to COPY then DELETE after that you don't know the copy did what you wanted;) MOVE automatically deletes the source files after their copy to the destination).

    Or

    • Open a Windows Explorer window and navigate to the directory that contains the image files.
    • If the left pane of the window does not display a list of common tasks, make sure that the button 'search', or the 'Files' button in the explore toolbar is selected.
    • Select the files to copy/move, using CTRL or SHIFT as you wish
    • Under "file and folder tasks", click on "copy this file.
    • Navigate to the destination folder, and click "copy."

Photo Gallery is just an 'intermediate '. It does NOT store images/photos.
Images/photos are stored in the folder. Are your looking for in the pictures folder.

Plug your USB > start > computer > click the flash drive > open folder images > drag and dropn photos images in the flash player.
    That's all.

  • Copy some files from one user to another

    Hello!

How can I copy (not share) some files from one user to another?

The reason for this is because we rename users to other allocation model.

    Thank you!

You must share the folders you want to transfer the ownership of the new username, or one responsibility that the new user has (I guess that's an Oracle Applications EUL). The user connects to Discoverer more with their new name. They open the workbook (s) and then do a SAVE AS. Who will save the workbook with them as the new owner. You must then sign with the old name of the owner and to delete these old files (after the first backup them) once you are sure that everything works fine. Yes, it is a nasty process. What we do is we use a "dummy" username when we create/modify the workbooks. In this way the fictional user name is the owner of the workbooks. So, it does not matter if a person leaves or if you change the user naming conventions. If you have many users to create cabinets, then a dummy user name doesn't quite work. You could always submit an enhancement request to Oracle for a copy function. I hope that you will get a lot of customers to support such a request.
