List all files of a certain type

Hello

I'm trying to get all the files of a certain type of file (card and internal storage) system.

I could just recursively iterete in each directory, filter the files and create my list.

Is there a more elegant way to do it?

As far as I KNOW Android and Symbian have systems that offer this feature. Is there such a thing on BB?

Kind regards

Alex

There is no better way on BlackBerry.

  • How to list all files within a data store and sent an email...

    Hello

    I know that within a data store there of are VM, but these virtual machines are right files?

    Some might create a virtual machine, remove the inventory but do not delete the folder/VM from the data store.

    Is thre anyway to get a script to list all records, not VM. s within a data store and be able to send emails?

    Thanks for your help,

    How about something like this:

    $VIServer = "YourVIServer".

    $EmailFrom = "Sender@Email".

    $EmailTo = "Recipient@Email".

    $Subject = "email subject".

    $SMTPServer = "YourSMTPServer".

  • When I drag files in WMP the sequence of songs is not because it is in the list of files. the first certain tracks are at the bottom of the playlist

    When I drag music files in WMP and in the field of reading list, the sequence of songs is not as it should be determined in accordance with the list of files in Explorer windows, the first or the first few tracks are at the bottom of the playlis.
    For example when I drag the track 1 to 10 in WMP playlist could end up with the 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,1,2,3 sequence. It ranges from which follow playlist starts with, but the first track (s) (rare) is at the bottom every time.

    PS. Shuffle is not lit.

    Is not necessarily any indication of a fault as WMP does this, even when it is running correctly [he apparently gets files loaded in the order that they appear in the allocation table disk files].

    You can

    1 after dragging in the playlist, drag files to the top or to the bottom of the playlist in the desired order before you save the playlist.

    2 Allocate Index properties for each track before slipping as WMP then normally behave correctly when you drag them.

    3 you can also drag the in WMP individually to achieve the same end result.

  • Apply field for all columns of a certain type.

    Hello

    We intend to migrate data Modeler Designer. But when I saw the model in the designer, I found, that many tables was not up to date: missing columns or columns with different data types, for example DATE of designer and the timestamp in the comic book.

    So I thought to import the db entities. Because many properties have never been maintained East of the only thing that could really get lost areas of the datatype column.

    Is it possible to assign a domain automatically to each column of a certain type, for example the field 'amount' to each column with NUMBER (11.2)?

    Or is it possible to update an imported model from Designer with the real condition in the comic book?

    Concerning
    Marcus

    Hi Marcus,

    You can accomplish the task in both directions. I think it'll be easier to import the database from form and run 'Types of Wizard of areas' under the Tools menu.

  • List all files in a folder

    Hello
    I am new to the Director.
    I use Director to record/record/listen to audio files.
    I want to populate a list with all the files in a given folder.
    Someone knows how to do this to the Director?

    Thank you

    > You can use the built-in getNthFilenameInFolder()

    I could have been more specific:
    --
    on the trail of mGetFileList
    tList =]
    Repeat with f = 1 in the maxInteger
    tFilename = getNthFilenameInFolder (path, f)
    If tFilename = EMPTY then exit
    tList.append (tFilename)
    end repeat
    Back to tList
    end

    And call it with:
    lFiles = mGetFileList (_movie.path)

    However, the above will also be the folder list

  • All files lost after doing a system recovery.

    I had a virus on my computer and foolishly made a recovery of the entire system before backing up my files. Now, I've lost everything, including the course materials College 2 and 4 years of photos. I have a HP dv6700 laptop. I brought to a store to support local tech, but after putting my car in a recovery workstation, the workstation was unable to recognize the drive. In the notes they gave me when I went to pick up my computer that they mentioned "Partition is skipped".  After "try file scavenger to recover data, but again once does not recognize the disk partition".  I'm not talking tech if someone can translate? My main question is, is all hope lost to recover my files? And is there anything else I can try?

    There's not much hope, unless you want to spend $$$

    Read this anyway;

    If you have an installation clean back to factory settings, you normally wiped your hard drive clean during the process.

    You can try this program:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/Recuva.html

    Recuva is a file undeletion tool that allows you to analyze your hard drives or media cards for files that have been deleted or formatted. It presents you a list of files that have been found, as well as an assessment of their potential for recovery, a preview option, and a hex viewer to inspect the content. You can limit your search to files of a certain type (e.g. images, audio etc.) and choose between a quick and a thorough analysis approach. The program also includes a secure deletion option that allows you to permanently delete files that were found while parsing, to avoid any future recoveries.

  • UNIX command to the list of file name

    Hi gurus,

    I saw post how to process several files of johngoodwin.blogspot.com.
    But what is the command to equlivalent on unix to list all file names.

    I want a text file will contain all the text file name and another text file will contain all the names of csv files.

    Need a suggestion. Help, please.

    Thanks in advance.

    On UNIX, you can use the ls command to find the contents of a directory and then you can send this output and crerate a file out of it.

    ls *.csv > list_of_csv_files.txt

    ls *.txt > list_of_text_files.txt

    You need to run it from the directory you are trying to find the content.

  • Peform OCR on all PDF files in a certain folder and its subfolders

    I wanted to do an OCR PDF files in a certain folder and its subfolders, without moving the files in their subfolders.  Naturally I went to: documents - ocr multiple files - add files - add directories.  Then came the problem.  Updated Adobe established a list of almost all the files in this folder and subfolders, even including Word files.  I wanted to only PDF files, I went down this list and deleted all files which was not a PDF file.  Then I turned it off, and it worked.

    How can I tell Acrobat I want only to run OCR PDF files in a folder and subfolder?  How can I tell that it does run OCR on Word files, who already have the recognizable text?

    It is Acrobat X (not pro) on 64-bit Windows 7, FYI.

    If you have Acrobat X, you lucky that you can run an Action on this file and OCR PDF files just in it. If you upgrade to XI, you will not be able to do and it will convert all the files not PDF to a PDF as part of this Action. You basically need to do is set up the Action, add the step of recognition of text and make sure that under file/folder of input options you uncheck all other types of files, so that only PDF files is treated.

  • BACK orders: How to list the files only in all subfolders; under the folder location

    Currently, when I output list file I get the full path.  For example:

    c:\users\test\text1.txt

    I want a list of all files in subfolders only less folder of the file location:

    Text1.txt

    What controls to use DOS?

    Thanks in advance.

    BACK could not do this. It was not advanced suffiently. Fortunately for you, the last we saw back was 15 under Windows Millennium Edition. We now have the Windows Console. There is no BACK on Windows 7, but the Console is much smarter that BACK than ever. The following batch file will do what you want (although I wonder what could be the object):

    off @echo
    for /F "delims =" % in (' /ad /s dir / b') do dir / b "%%a\*.txt" 2 > 0

    If you prefer to type so you can type this command instead:

    for /F "delims =" %a in (' dir/ad/b/s") @dir / b"%a\*.txt"2 > 0

  • Installed Windows 7 Professional, Easy Transfer helped to transfer all files. Programs not listed

    I used Easy Transfer to transfer the entire selection available through transfer is including Program Files, program data and the AppData (inside the user's home directory. The program seems to be installed, but some of them are not listed in the Start Menu. None of them appear in the Uninstall list of programs. Also, some programs such as MS Office launch when I try to open the exe file in the installation directory. Other programs like winzip have been installed again when I opened the program executable in the installation directory, while others like firefox opens as if nothing was (with my already open tabs).

    This uniformity?
    What should I do if I want to use, lets say that MS Office now? Are the installed files in program files, but I can't open the executable files.
    Thank you very much

    I'm sorry, but you have been deceived, Windows Easy Transfer does not Support Program Files, you need to reinstall those of their original installation discs.

    Can I transfer programs?

    No. Windows Easy Transfer only transfers program settings, not the programs themselves. To use the programs from your old computer, install them on your new computer, and then transfer the files and the settings for these programs. It is possible that certain types of programs, such as security and antivirus programs, may not work with this version of Windows.

  • How to list all the files in a backup job?

    User GreyGnome:

    I would like to get a list of all the files on a file system backup task. Is this possible?

    Through the CLI, if possible. On Linux.

    Thank you.

    Posted by AdrianMoir

    Hi GreyGnome,

    You can actually set this via the user interface on the backup options for employment. See attached picture.

    This will allow you to define a path and file name of a text file that lists all the files that are backed up by work, when the work is performed.

    Once the option set is saved under a name, if you create jobs through the CLI, with nvjobcreate, you can specify the selectionoptionsetname - , by using the name of the set option that you created with the entry 'Path to Backup Log'.

    The text file will display the name of the file in the following attributes...

    Backup Path, State, Type, size (bytes), Timestamp, attributes.

    Thank you very much

    Adrian.

  • Require a script to the list of files with sizes on all data stores in a cluster

    Hi all

    Please be gentle, im not new to Vmware, but new to powershell/powercli and need your help.

    cli power can make or y at - it tools available that will do that for me?

    I need to generate a list of all the files of the virtual machine in all stores of data available for cluster and their sizes to go with it.

    I am mainly interested in the .log files and vmdk files, but I don't mind if it lists all.

    I don't mind how his im laid out not after anything fancy just a list of output type something like

    /

    I did some research but there is nothing I have found that it will make.

    My environment is currently esx 3.0.2 with vcenter servers. (currently being upgraded to 4)

    Lots of help thanks

    Yes, it's a 'characteristic' knowledge when using PowerCLI 4u1 against a VI 3.x environment.

    There is a way to workaround, try this

    $dsImpl = Get-Cluster  | Get-VMHost | Get-Datastore | where {$_.Type -eq "VMFS"}
    $dsImpl | % {
         $ds = $_ | Get-View
         $path = ""

         $spec = New-Object VMware.Vim.HostDatastoreBrowserSearchSpec
         $spec.Details = New-Object VMware.Vim.FileQueryFlags
         $spec.Details.fileSize = $true
         $spec.Details.fileType = $true
         $vmdkQry = New-Object VMware.Vim.VmDiskFileQuery
         $spec.Query = (New-Object VMware.Vim.VmDiskFileQuery),(New-Object VMware.Vim.VmLogFileQuery)

                        DSName = $ds.Name
                        VMname = $vmName
                        FileName = $_.Path
                        FileSize = $_.FileSize
                   }
              }
         }
    } | Export-Csv "C:\File-report.csv" -NoTypeInformation -UseCulture

    I have attached the script to avoid any problems with the hooks.

    And the regex expression is updated to account for the names of comments with whites.
