List available wifi SSID

I am trying to access the wireless network and to enumerate the available SSID, like how Windows does.  Present a list of available Wi - Fi networks SSID.  This information is available in the libraries of .NET example?  I searched this for awhile, but have not found anything to date...

Oh it's easy if you know netsh.  Use the call command line "netsh wlan show networks.  Attatched is an example recorded in 2013.

  • How can I get my iPhone to show all the available wifi?

MY iPhone 6 s most shows not all of the available wifi networks as do my other phones. Only the strongest and closest signal appears. I need my i show weaker signals that I connect to appear. I don't want to jail break my phone for an app to bypass this 'block' on my iPhone... Help!

    (1) perform a forced reboot: hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Leave the device to reboot.

    (2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

    (3) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (support Web site of the manufacturer for a new FW check). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (recommended for 2.4 to 20 MHz bandwidth). Channels 1, 6 or 11 are recommended for 2.4 band.

If you jailbrake your phone first, it won't help, secondly you will cancel the warranty and any help here then please do not.

  • I installed in my laptop XP - SP3 PersonalFirewall of Privacyware and I have this problem: when restarting, always internet access isn't available (WiFi/LAN).

    network adapter AutoDetect fails

    Hello:

I installed in my laptop XP - SP3 PersonalFirewall of Privacyware and I have this problem: when restarting, always internet access isn't available (WiFi/LAN).
Using the command ipconfig, I found that these cards are not detected. (Although without wireless/LAN icons do not display the modem connection). Also, if I go into Device Manager, I see network cards. BUT if I select "research material changes", then the other adapters will appear (those of Privacyware) and internet connection is reset and it will work then.  I wonder why windows does not detect this kind of cards automatically when I start it.

This problem occurs only in my laptop - I installed the project Feederwatch on a laptop another XP and it worked, so Privacyware cannot provide a solution, since seems a very specific problem.

    Thanks for any idea!

    Seems that the solution was:

1 - Open Device manager and view the hidden devices.
    2. then go into not connectable & play devices and manually delete all the remainers network software & security uninstalled (process antivirus, firewall, monitor).
    3. several reboots were required in order to know if the garbage problem has been removed.

  • Get the available WiFi

I am able to set up an example of code that returns all the available wifi using the:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Java-development/scanning-WiFi-network-in-app/TD-p/1676063

But according to the guidelines of the API (http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/7.1.0api/ (class HotspotClientRegistry)), two things I noticed:

1 user Interaction is needed so that we can install the hotspot client

    2. only unsecured WiFI networks will be returned as a result.

    Issues related to the:

    1. How can I avoid the intervention of the user?

    2. How can return us all networks wifi (included guarantees as well)

I'm not aware of any other API or workaround to get what you want.  The answers to your questions, as I know, are:

    (1) NO.

    (2) you can't.

This question, or a very similar has been asked before and the answer's always been Blackberry do not provide a way to connect to any network without the participation of users.  BlackBerry, I think that this is a security feature.  Search the Forum if you want more.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

  • Connection WiFi SSID

Hello everyone, I have a Question.  Recently, I turned on our home network security.  So now when I want to connect the TX to the network it asks the SSID.  I try to enter our password but I don't have the same amount of space to enter the full key on the Palm.  I tried other wep and wpa - psk which are available on the Palm, but they are different from that on the wi - fi dsl security preferences.  What I can do.  I use to be able to connect really easy until I turned on the security.  I did it because I saw people saying they had a good WiFi hotspot, near my house. I felt really violated! HA! Help, please...

Make sure that you have chosen the right type of encryption code - you have several choices, each with its own size of the code.

Read through the 'Wifi control list' I did at the top of this section for some troubleshooting tips after read you the link that Cygnus has given you.

  • If a network of neighbors appear on my list of WiFi in the about this Mac, should I be concerned about security?

I am trying to solve a network problem.  In the process, I was browsing the WiFi networks listed in the report of the system slot on my Mac.  I found all my networks expected but also found a network I won't name My Next Door neighbour.  Although I've seen this network on my computer when you connect to one of my networks (and thought it was simply a neighbor whose own network was narrow and strong), I was surprised to find it in a list on the WiFi system report page.

I don't know if I'm too react or should deal with this neighbor might somehow be surfed on my internet account and/or have access to sensitive information on my computer.  My network is secure with WPA2 Personal.  So the neighbor.

Thanks for any idea that you can provide.

    Jim

In the report of the system, the network of my Next Door neighbor is listed under the current information network or other local Wi - Fi networks?

Current must be the network you are on, and it should be your own. If my Next Door neighbor is under another heading, it's OK. This means that it is available, but you are not connected to it. On my Mac, the other category is all of my neighbors, about 10 of them. Other is like all networks not selected under the Airport icon in the menu bar, they are of no interest because you are not connected to them. They are like the list of the radio stations on your radio, they are listed because you're within range of them, but they can't touch you. Unless you are connected.

  • Laptop suddenly can't find any available (Wifi) network, but the router is not the problem.

My laptop was working fine, until what I packed it inside my bag I always do and got chased home my MOM to my father's House; which is a few miles. I opened it upward, and he could not find any networks (wifi) available. I know that the problem could not be the router because everyone elses laptop in my work from home and because my laptop usually shows at least 4 or 5 other connections wifi available, and mine shows nothing at all. The problem is not the wifi switch is on. Help, please!

    Hi Dubist,
You have a reason to think it might be spyware?

It sounds more like material if it has just stopped working and there is no other issue.

Here's what I would do to try to understand the issue.

Type cmd into the search bar and press to enter. On the command line, type ping 127.0.0.1 and close to enter. You should get a response back as a result time. Something like that.
    Reply from 127.0.0.1: bytes = 32 time<1ms ttl="">

If you do not, close the window Device Manager and type in the search bar and look under network adapters. See if you have a wireless device it and make sure that there is no exclamation beside him points.

If you have exclamation points or of any error, reinstall the driver. If there is no device listed, it could just be dead and you can watch that need to buy a new external wireless card.

Tell us what you find and we can go from there. Matt

  • BlackBerry Smartphones bb curve 8520 wifi ssid and appworld does not

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Let me try and parse your sentence without punctuation of 76 Word and see if I can understand what are your questions...

    dannyandringa wrote:

    I have a problem

I think that this is your first sentence...

    dannyandringa wrote:

I can not conect to 2 wireless access points that have the same ssid it tells me to replace the one other than my router at home and at work are the same, I have to remove the one that made me enter the password all the time are there no way to change this

    I think you meant:

I can not connect to 2 wireless access points that have the same ssid. He tells me to replace the one that my router at home and at work are the same. I have to remove the one that made me enter the password all the time. No there is no way to change this?

So, with this now readable survey, I suspect that the BB stores each WiFi network as the network SSID. That would mean no duplicates allowed in this profile on the BB database. I can find no documentation backup, but the behavior you're seeing, it's a reasonable assumption.

To deal with it, I suggest change you the SSID on your router so that it is unique and, therefore, can store a separate profile on your BB and keep all the credentials.

    dannyandringa wrote:

Also app world does not work on my mobile, why it's a smartphone right bb so why can't I use it?

For that, I think that you meant:

App world does not work on my mobile. Why? It is a smartphone from bb right? So why can't it use?

Don't I have that right? If so, please check this page to ensure that you meet the minimum requirements (including if it is available in your country):

If it is available in your country and you feel you meet the requirements at the level of the device, and then contact your provider to make sure you meet the requirements of the plan (to them) access (via their network) service to AppWorld.

Finally, know that AppWorld is simply a portal, vending apps developed mainly by others. Therefore, it is not your exclusive supply source - there are others that you can try (e.g., Handango, Handmark, BPlay, GetJAR and Mobihand). I found that there are very few applications that is exclusive to AppWorld. You can see the online catalogue and then look for other sources of supply, including quite often on the developer website.

    Good luck!

  • I have a question where I listed two wifi networks. It is not in use and Im trying to find out how to remove parameters from the airport.

I used routers of the airport for a few years now. I upgraded my main router at a Time capsule and my old Airport Extreme and Airport Express works online as sub routers to keep the good signal throughout my home. All work well, but I always have what is the former name of wifi in wifi settings and would like to delete it so that it shows only the new name of the wifi network and the network of comments.

On a Mac that you used to connect wirelessly in the past...

Open System Preferences (gear on the dock icon)

    Open Network

Click WiFi on the left panel to select

Click Advanced in the bottom right of the next window

Here you can see a list of networks that your Mac has signed in the past.

Click on the name of a plu network that you no longer need to highlight

Click on the - (button at the bottom of the list to remove the name less)

Do the same for other networks that you no longer need

    Click OK

Click apply in the next window that appears

Close the windows and restart your Mac.

Then, perform the same steps on all of your other Macs

    Turning off all routers AriPort

    Wait a minute

Turn on the main airport and let it run for a minute

Turn on other airports, one at a time about one minute apart

  • "There is no connection available" even if there are available wifi connections.

When I started my PC a few weeks ago, and not automatically connecting to the wifi that he told me there is no connection available, although there was certainly available connections as I could connect on my laptop and the phone.

Online search I found several people who had had similar problems, but the only solution that worked, I found was temporary, in which case I would uninstall and delete the software of the driver for my Wireless LAN Card 802.11n, then do a system restore just before an update of windows 'critical' which was installed automatically when I shut down my PC last night.

This solve my problem and allow me to connect to wifi for 2 sessions on the computer, then the update would again settle and I wouldn't be able to detect an available connection again and repeat this process.

It is a gene, but it was the only solution that I could find online that worked for me, so I've set up with it, but now my Norton Internet Security plays up and I can not deal with both at the same time because the system restore undo the fix for Norton, so I need to properly resolve this.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

    (I use windows 7 btw).

Please change your Windows Update setting to NEVER.  This will prevent this automatic update, which is a very bad idea in the atmosphere of Windows Update today.

Here are some tips on how to make Windows Update for August:

When the updates in Windows Update, see if you can find an update of the driver for your wireless network.  If it is there, right-click on it and choose hide.

Go to the support web site OEM and updates the driver your computer's wireless.  It is the only source of updated, driver that you should consider, other than the Intel drivers update utility.
