List installed patches
I apologize for the fundamental question of the vfery.
Given a member a vSphere infrastructure ESXi host 5.x, how can I see the list of patches installed or see if a given patch is installed?
Is it the same if the Update Manager is installed or is unavailable?

You can use the following command:
esxcli - server = server_name vib software list
The hotfixes installed on the ESXi host will be listed, regardless of how they have been installed.

You can safely rollback Patch 16587934 as all the fixes that are included in this hotfix is installed when you apply the Patch 17875948

Hello, with a bit of confusion about the list of patch...
It seems that ESX 3.5 update 4 was released on 03/30/2009
It also seems that there are many other fixes published on 30/03/2009.
Are these additional fixes not included in update 4? That's happened? Are there major bugs discovered immediately after the release? It seems strange to me VMware would release a new major update to the media but does include all of these updates in the release. How can I easily know what patches I really need for a newly installed 3.5 update 4 computer ESX?
at the moment I don't have the means in place for the installation of patch management solution I just want to get the updates, I really need and install them. Maybe VMware label patches as 'post update 4 patch' or something like that so that we know what is really needed? Maybe I'm making it harder that it really should be, suggestions appreciated.

These patches are incldued in the 04 Update. If you look at update04, you will see that these patches are included in the list of patch update04 provides. You will also see that they are the same build number.

Windows Update crashes when installing patches

I have a problem with Windows Update on my computer Windows Vista 25 Nov. November 25, Windows Update told me of new updates and I chose the option to install the fix and the stop in the night and the system has been blocked to install update 3 of 5 for all night and then I had to turn off the system and remove the battery and restart the system. When I checked the view update history after the restart, he says that it has properly installed patches. Then, I have the same problem that Windows update crashes at installation of update 1 x and does not go further.

It sounds as if there is something in the way of installation. First of all, make sure that your system is free of malware\virus infections. This thread has some great information on this topic: getting rid of malware. Please check the version of the CC extensions Manager (click on 'Help'--> 'about Extension Manager'). I assume you are using 7.0.0.347 or 7.1. Support for CC 2014 applications was added in point 7.2. Please update to the latest version 7.2.1 EM.

I used this GUI utility before but don't remember its name. It is based of WMI and lists for a summary of all the system RAM, OSversion, Service pack level, Proc info, mac addresses and installed updates etc.

ACS 5.4 failure after installing Patch - 5-4-0-46-4
I installed the last path (5-4-0-46-4) on ACS server and after that I'm getting following error when I try to access
System Administration > ... > Administrators > Administrative access control > Authorization The error message is
This failure has occurred: {0}. your changes have not been saved. Click OK to return to the list page.
I can't get away from this error and I have to disconnect before doing anything else, but whenever I try to access this pageagain authorization, the same error message appears.
Someone tried update 5.4 ACS with the latest patch, have you experienced this error? have you managed to fix it and how please?

It is on the same computer. The PC has the standard COMPUTER stuff. VIper and they handle most of the firewall settings (windows). I have turned them all off before installing. I think it was a matter of execution engine. I have no time to fight with LabView, so I uninstalled all LabView! Then I made a new installation of the DVD. This works. I never install a patch of NOR without a week of free time! In others, ever! Whenever I do it, it takes me at least a day to get my operating environment! Thanks for your time. It is appreciated.

I try to use an older laptop that originally supplied with XP Home Edition. I had already installed all service packs. I try to install XP SP1a to be able to then install XP SP3. I downloaded SP1a like save and launched the executable service pack from my download files. He keeps the slightest error with a message that it was impossible to connect to the server. A solution indicates that you can download a version of SP1a that requires no connection to internet to load the patches and fixes.
I was unable to locate this download on the download of Miucrosoft Center. Someone has a link to the SP1a download file I need to run?

Page Images software Cisco first Infrastructure 2.2 broken after installing patches
Earlier today, we installed 2.2.1 POODLE Fix (1.0.0) PI and PI 2.2.1 updated corrective (1.0.0) on 2.2 of the ICC. After reloading, we get status 404 when you navigate to the inventory > Device Management > software image.
Also found this error in the Chrome development tools:
Error: Unable to load applications/swim/jsp/ImageRepositoryTable.jsp?id=/ status:404
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Confusion of Windows Update lists 115 available updates and my update list installed

my colleague installed the following VIBs on top a seller provided esxi 5.5 build U3. I want to install the same VIBs on another host. The basis of esx seems easy, as is the only VIB in the patch. But what about the LSI VIBs, they are part of a patch containing many VIBS.

-Some of the VIBs will be ignored, because they are already present version or newer version. But I am concerned by VIBs in the patch that do not exist and do not want the patch to add. Specifically, can I install just the VIBs lsi of a command?
There are basically two options to install individusl vibs.
The first is get/extract .vib files and install using:
esxcli update software vib - v/path/to/vib
Another option - if you have a file offline deposit/.zip - is to specify the vibs in the command line, for example
esxcli software vib update d/path/to/zip - n n - esx-based lsi - mr3...
What I recommend in any case is to run the command with the option - dry - run first to see what the command will do, without actually doing anything.
Please keep in mind that - during installation only individual vibs - this is to keep the system in a State supported.

Assuming that you meet or exceed all the pre-reqs, use adpatch to apply the patch as usual and provided with the pilot of 'u' file name when you are prompted.
