  If you have Windows 8 on your new Acer laptop and you no longer want to use McAfee you should disable McAfee and then uninstall McAfee and use the McAfee removal tool to be sure, McAfee is completely removed: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

  I would like to know if there is a minimum of services set in really need of LabVIEW. Not because my VI needs more CPU, but because I don't see why I should have 10 services OR running in the background even when LabVIEW is not working.

  After you start the system and look at the event logs I see that the MpKsl3af9b1d7 service was sent successfully control starting, but when displaying the list of installed services on my machine, this service is not listed.  How will I know what it is?

  Lol this is not possible in the standard selection lists. The element plugin Select2 can support this, but this looks like a redesign of the interface user is really necessary. Radio buttons or check boxes are a better choice to make selections of the options with long descriptions. Redesign/reformulation of the interface would be the best approach. What are these options? Why are they used?

  There is no error like code: 0XDEEDFADE

  Usually due to a bad driver, or a faulty or incompatible hardware or software. Use the general troubleshooting of STOP the Messages above checklist.
