Listener of the apex and Apex.3.2.1
Apex earphone works with Apex 3.2.1? Maybe I missed it, I can't find any info in the document.Quick question, short answer: it does.
Documentation for the listener of the APEX does not refer to a special version of APEX. The fact that the only APEX documents name the listener APEX APEX 4.0 from is due to the listener of the APEX is not not available prior to this release.
We have it running with the APEX of 3.1 from instances, but I guess you could use it even for older versions.

Q; How to re - configure and monitor the listener of the APEX
Hello
I installed the listener of the APEX on a WLS 12.1.1 (SPARC Solaris 11platform) and configured by using the URL:
http:// < Host >: < port >/apex/listenerConfigure
It worked very well!
Now I need to change the URL and the credentials for connecting to my APEX instance and when I tryo to hit the same URL again, I get the following message:
The listener of the APEX is already configured. Please log on as an administrator to access the listener Administration APEX.
I read to you is a file called apex - config.xml somewhere but I can't find it under my WLS installation directory.
Any ideas what could be the problem?
See you soon,.
AndyAs mentioned Udo, the 2nd option (change in the war before you deploy file) is probably the best. One suggestion is to use a variable then rather hard, the location of the XML encoding. The variable can then be set / changed on the command line.
Web.Xml
config.dir
${apex.dir}
In the weblogic under the Server Start Settings console, you can change the variable according to the needs for each instance managed for each environment:
-Dapex-dir = / dir1/dir2/myapp/apex
Good luck.

Install work w/WebLogic and the listener of the APEX APEX
This time, I get the following message when you provide "apex / http://localhost:7001 / listenerConfigure" as the URL in Internet Explorer
The listener of the APEX is already configured. Please log on as an administrator to access the listener Administration APEX.
How can I cancel the 'Apex' Listener so that when I try to access the URL above, makes me to the settings page?
I also tried this URL:
Apex / http://localhost:7001 / apex_admin
As a result the following exception. After seeing the underside of exception I immediately changed the password APEX_PUBLIC_USER in Oracle
a new password. So now that I have a new password for the APEX_PUBLIC_USER in Oracle, where should I update the config files?

Published by: Wes Gibbs August 9, 2011 18:11Hi Wes,
If your connection to database has changed, you must either delete the old configuration completely, so you could run + / listenerConfigure + again, or if you change the connection parameters in the configuration file.
In any case, you must locate the config.dir (if you have not configured this setting, it is the ${java.io.tmpdir} of your WLS). If you want to do it again, delete the contents of this directory. Otherwise change the apex - config.xml , you will find. The relevant keys may depend on your previous configuration, but should not be difficult to identify. They are at the beginning of the apex - config.xml and begin by apex.db. .-Udo

Get the CGI env variables in a database procedure using the new listener to the APEX
I already posted this question in the earpiece of the Apex forum and still no response after a week. The original post is here:
So please forgive me for posting in this forum as well, but there is much more activity here.
I would like to know how I can get the CGI environment to the listener of the APEX. For example, if I want to write a procedure that inserts into a table, the client web request originating IP address, how do it?
I am familiar with the Oracle Http Server and mod_plsql, and I know how to call OWA_UTIL. GET_CGI_ENV to get this kind of information. How can I do this by using the earpiece of the APEX?
In particular, how to do that when you call a custom (not in a workspace Apex) procedure? When I try now, I get an error owa_util. The cgi env seems to be empty or not initiated (owa.num_cgi_vars is null or zero).
Specific settings:
I have a web server running the last JDK, Glassfish and 1.1.4 Apex listener. It connects to another server running the last database 11.2. Apex is installed and running, but I'm not really developing a traditional Apex application in a workspace. I use it mainly as you would use mod_plsql. In other words, I have packages of pl/sql custom which are called directly via a URL. Applications must be sent by the listener to the database and DB executes the procedure and returns output using htp.p to send the text to the browser. And it works very well for this purpose. But if I want to call GET_CGI_ENV to get information such as IP address, the browser making the request, etc. I can't get with the OWA packages.
Anyone can shed some light on this? If the listener of the Apex is not designed to do this, is it some kind of workaround that I can use to transfer such information to the database for each request?Hi Adam,.
APEX is located on the top of the Toolbox for OWA. There is no appeal of the special procedure to be implemented.
Kind regards

The URL of the listener of the Apex.
Hello world!
I have configured my interlocutor Apex in Standalone Mode
How can I configure my URL with my words such as: http:/localhost:8585/myapplication/f?...
replace the default URL: http:/localhost:8585/apex/f?...
I don't know where is my FATHER, and how markets can I do to make this change?
And how about
"http://localhost:8585 / apex ' or ' apex / http://localhost:8585 / apex_admin?
Thanks for any help.Hello
the listener of the APEX fixed (hardcoded) contexts in stand-alone Mode, so you can not do this. Deploy the war file to a regular JEE server where you choose the context, or put the proxy HTTP (reverse) on the front to make the switch for you.
Note that the standalone Mode is not intended to be used for deployments of production, but for testing and development only.

How to change the location of the listener of the Apex?
Hi all
After I changed the directory to the location of the listener of the Apex, I had
When I tried to go to Apex.Internal Error
How to solve this problem?
Kind regards
ValHi Valerie,
probably, this problem is caused by the access rights of the file on the apex.home (the place where the listener APEX stores its configuration). The default location is ${java.io.tmpdir}, which once again the default * / tmp/apex * in most cases. However, it is above all a global location, not a specific user. However, the files are created with write access to the owner and limited to the owner read access and group. So if you try to start with another user, the APEX listener tries to use the same location, but cannot access the files needed and therefore fails. root will obviously not have this problem, but I recommend not to use this account for any service that you run.
You can set a startup option to resort the APEX listener to a different location for apex.home is reading - / writeable for the current user. This could asjava -Dapex.home=/home/user/apex -jar ./apex.war
Of course you can change the directory to anywhere that fits your system.
For more information about the boot settings, you might take a look in the development Guide and apex listeners install.-Udo

Original title: speech synthesis
How can I turn off text to speech that I turned it on to listen to the voice and now there seems to be no way to turn it off
Hello
Follow the steps below to disable text to speech in Windows Vista.
(a) go to the section on your main screen where you see the time displayed.
(b) it is called the "bar", all kinds of small icons are visible here, there's even a gadget of the small arrow that would normally point to the right if you have a lot of programmes to help you use windows.
(c) "left click on"the small arrow in a circle - this will expand the list to display small icons, drip slowly mouse over the bar of 'system' in order to launch a pop - up of each icon, once you reach the icon that says something like "text to speech tool","make a clique right".
(d) a pop-up list appears showing what options are available - option whatever go to "Properties" or "settings", "click on" this element gives.
(e) a new Panel will appear - in select here the article that says something like "launch on startup", it should have a box next to it, that will be ticked or marked in some way - "click" this element so that it seems to be clear and followed by the button "apply" "click" the button "OK" - which should solve your problem.

Listener of the APEX and several Instances of APEX
I APEX 4.XX and Apex listener 2.0.5 and I'm really interested in the configuration of multiple instances of the APEX to browse the same listener. I found information on how you create your multiple connections, but I'm really confused by the portions on how you configure your URL cards. In my case, I'm insterested in something in the sense of https://apex.example.com/prod/ https://apex.example.com/dev/ https://apex.example.com/pprd/ where each of them is APEX running on a different database. I am amendable to prod a straight downhill https://apex.example.com/ until I could install some sort of application of default homepage instead of directly providing the login page for this instance. Can anyone offer guidance in this type of installation? I am ok if you need is to have the URL in the sense of https://apex.example.com/apex/ https://apex.example.com/apex/dev/ https://apex.example.com/apex/pprod/ if they should be. Note my deployment is on Weblogic 12 c and I use SQL Developer to admin the listener.
The headphones are so light, I have one foreach (in virtual boxes)
I prefer to keep listeners on separate servers, because it is easier for me to check that I'm not about to run 'truncate table... ". "on the production.
(my $0,02 worth)
Dev, I have multiple DB connections.
Grade a (http://Host/apex) points to my box of 11 g of real development.
The secondary one (http://Host/apex/a12) point to my box 'playground' 12 c.
For the 12 c, URL mappings are: (SQL Developer 3.2 and 4.0)
The rule of Type = URL path
Routing rule = http://Host/apex/a12
REST Schema. = (empty)
After that I got it to work, I have not played with any other options/ideas.

Communication between TNS_Listener and the listener of the Apex
Hi all
I how communication between TNS Listener, receiver of the Apex and Apex? For some reason, I got the following error of Apex listener:
I truncated messages Java object.Caused by: oracle.dbtools.rt.web.WebException: Unable to start the Universal Connection Pool: oracle.ucp.UniversalConnectionPoolException: Cannot get Connection from Datasource . . . Caused by: oracle.net.ns.NetException: Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor
This has happened when I tried to connect to the Apex. So I can fix it by going to:
then everything worked fine.http://localhost:8080/apex/listenerConfigure
My listener.ora file:
My tnsnames.ora fileLISTENER = (DESCRIPTION_LIST = (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = EXTPROC1521)) ) (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = firefly.snowdrop.com)(PORT = 1521)) ) ) ADR_BASE_LISTENER = /usr/local/oracle ADR_BASE_ORACLE_LISTENER = /usr/local/oracle
When inara is the name of the instance and the firefly is the host name.INARA = (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = firefly.snowdrop.com)(PORT = 1521)) (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED) (SERVICE_NAME = inara.snowdrop.com) ) )
Is that the order of start if first the TNS Listener or listener Apex matter first?
Best regards
Val
Published by: Valerie good-natured August 1, 2011 05:47Hi Val,
My tnsnames.ora is configured for an existing server and there is no client configurations like sqlplus, sql or earpiece of the apex developer. However until now the server can connect to customers without problem (I just discover that unreproducible error on 'impossible to find the SID' sometimes occurs at the beginning of the Summit, the kick-off and can be solved by waiting for a while to connect to reconnect), so again I must modify the .ora?
No, if your database listener is configured properly (i.e., he listens to the SID that you try to connect to the network interface/hostname/ip address /... she must use), there is no need to make any other configuration, especially not on another machine.

HTTPS and the listener of the apex
Can I set up ApexListener to HTTPS requests only server?
There no server app on this host, not just ApexListener.
Thank you.Hello Alex,.
the APEX listener supports SSL itself (see {: identifier of the thread = 2192664}).
You don't need a full application to this server. Simply a proxy that can serve HTTPS (for example Apache HTTPD).-Udo

US aircraft problems try to get the APEX listener running in stand-alone mode on AIX, but that did not work.
Now, it's a coincidence - Colm just posted on this topic today: {: identifier of the thread = 2318817}
It is in any case, he started on Linux, so...SEVERE: service exception:
java.lang.IllegalStateException: not yet initializedThis is the relevant part of your stack trace. You must call http://
: 8070/apex/listenerConfigure and complete the initial configuration (mainly the database connection settings) before you can access the APEX for the first time. -Udo

We are planing to use APEX with earphone APEX in production site for better security.
In this case, do we still need to install XMLDB.
If this is the case, could you please let me know what features of XMLDB are required when we are not in EPG mode.Hello
If you have not installed of XDB, the APEX component will be invalid. Essentially, it is an unsupported installation. If you need to call the Support of Oracle, the first thing they ask you to do is to make the valid component (by installing XDB).
XDB is used in a number of places in APEX - as an XMLTYPE in the collections, the analysis of the results of the Web Service, loading and unloading of XML, XLIFF translation file data, analysis, probably some areas more than I'm not Recalling now.
I hope this helps.

Apple tv is cutting by listening to the shows and movies
Why my Apple Tv is cut off when I listen to Netflix
Intermittent problems are often the result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the area of or household electric goods.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but won't make iStumbler household items.
Refer to your router manual to know how to change your wifi channel or adjust your pace of multicast.
There are other types of problems that can affect the networks, but it is by far the most common, so note the first. We see networks that have inherent problems work differently with different versions of the same software. You can also try to move the Apple TV away from other electrical devices.
The following article can help you.
Troubleshooting connections and Wi - Fi networks
WiFi Diagnostic Software (for Mac users)
You will also find help on this page, where I have collected some of the more unusual solutions for network problems.

Windows Server 2003 external to the application of the Apex and listener Apex?
Hi all
I have oracle RAC INSTALLED on solaris with three knots. I have several users with the CCR. I want to install APEX so that each user can access APEX if they need. Based on the Google search I did is not clear for me. My goal is to stay away as much as possible of the production systems. Could you please tell me which method can be good to implement this? I think following methods but I don't know if they are correct.
1 - Position the external Apex of Windows Server 2003
2 - Place the Apex listener in Windows Server 2003
3 - allow the user connect to the Windows Server to access Apex
Thank youHello
APEX needs to be installed in a database. If you do not want to expose your RAC and use a separate instance of the database, users will not be able to access the data available in the CARS (unless you create database links, but you usually don't want that).
You can install APEX Listener on your Windows 2003 to access the APEX facility in your RAC database. You must choose a J2EE container to host your listener of the APEX. See APEX listener installation guide for supported containers or search the forum or google to find out what other containers may be suitable for you (for example Apache Tomcat is not officially taken charge but able to accommodate the listener).
You need to configure the firewall and/or rules of routing for all users may access the port used by the container.-Udo
