  I downloaded Windows Live Essentials, and it crashes? Set the app with my live account. I will open work sometimes and some amount of time, not right out of the sign in the command prompt.   Following the crash of my MSN Messenger (which was after a recommended update; the "Windows Live Essentials")... On the list of recommendations for "problem reports and solution." I read about Windows Live Essentials Beta, which I've tried to install without success. Tried several times, with a variety of error codes, for which the recommendations didn't work.

  Now, a new attempt for the 10th consecutive day, Live Essentials beta installer stops and says:

  My Windows updater does not offer such update and couldn't find where and how I could locate and install this update pre-required, before which it seems impossible to install Windows Live Essentials Beta (in fact to reinstall any version of MSN Messenger or Windows Live Essentials).   I am on Windows 7 with a 64-bit laptop DV7. I have problems with Windows Live Mail, because when I click on the Inbox, sent. deleted etc, nothing happens. The only way I can get to my mail is to use 'Find' or to go to my Plusnet account. This is a nuisance. I have been informed through groups of Microsoft users that the best way to overcome this problem is to uninstall windows Live Essentials and instructions on how to do are on the Microsoft Web site. However, when I try I can't bring up the windows that would allow me to do. (see "how to remove and reinstall Windows Live Rssentials - I can't past 3 and" can't not "Uninstall") Could it be because there is a slight modification to the Hp software please, and if so someone can tell me how I can uninstall and then reinstall. Otherwise, it seems now that I'll have to go through the pain of complete recovery to try to resolve the problem. For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. GordonW

  As for your second question, you can use it as a main administrator account. You can remove the old local account, but you have backup your files, and the new master account must have full administrator privileges.
