Live TV in Media Center stutters source HD OTA.

After Installing Win 7 media center config units, video live TV stutters.  By using evga nvidia motherboard with integrated graphics card of base and win 7 driver from the evga site.  Both ATSC tuners show good to excellent signal for the OVER-THE-AIR stations that I'm watching.  This has never been a problem with vista Media Center.  How can I fix the stuttering?  It makes watching impossible television.

Look a little further, I saw there was a difference on the site Web of Nvidia GPU driver version included in the package of NForce drivers for the motherboard and that, for just the 7150 GPU (it is what is on my card mother evga 630i/7150).  After downloading and installing the latest driver for just the GPU of 7150 for Win 7 31 bits (GeForce 191.07) that seems to have solved the problem video stuttering.  I only tested briefly so I can confirm that this is the solution once I tested the functionality of TV for HD sources more.

I have a Dell PC with Vista Home Premium.  Until recently, when the operating system had to be reloaded, I watched decoder of live TV on Media Center for the past two years, using a Directv.  I have tried to re install the TV, but cannot complete the process, as my Directv remotes are not recognized.  The signal is fine (as of the previous steps shows the appropriate image and the signal, but the installation process cannot be performed due to the problem of distance not recognized. Hello

You won't get HDTV without a Digital Cable Ready tuner and a cable card. How about you
will have need a HDCP compatible graphics card and a TV/monitor taking support this
    as well.
The kit Hauppage offers is substantially the same as I told you.

clear QAM availability varies according to the cable company. most begin to encrypt
    everything.

    > The same can be done through Windows Media Center, by clicking the video image by clicking on Zoom. But in MCE when you have a cable box, you will also need an approved Microsoft IR blaster to control the cable box. If you n? not have this part, you will get the IR hardware not found error. The HVR - 950 Q does not come with this, but if you really want to use Media Center, you can buy a kit from our online store here http://store.hauppauge.com/hardware2.asp?product=mce_remote remote"

The only way to get the work TV power is on the backup and Restore Center, and use system restore to return to a previous restore point. The restore point doesn't have to be anything in particular. It may be a system on-demand restore point, before or after turning on the computer. It just makes no sense what so ever.

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click on your drive icon / properties / tools / error checking.  Try first by checking do not each box (that it will run in read-only mode) to see if it reports any problems file or hard drive.  If so, restart it by checking both boxes and restart to allow him to attempt to fix any problems found.

The manufacturer of the hard drive will have free diagnostic software carefully to check the status of your hard drive.

The importance only I can get to the system restore solution is the fact that a reboot is involved, if you need to restart just the error disappears too?

  • Windows 7 Media Center - stuttering/video freezing while playing Internet TV

I recently installed "clean" Windows 7 Edition Home Premium on XP MCE 2005.  I have serious problems with the video stuttering and freezing frequently during playback of the titles of Internet TV, for example, old episodes of Star Trek.  Results often loud squawk a Duke during freezing.  Sometimes it looks exactly like a CD does when he gets stuck on an imperfection and goes into a fast loop.  The irony is that I can read the exact same titles via Fancast, and have no performance problem either.  Stutter/freeze occurs only during playback via Internet TV in Media Center.

    My system is:
Intel motherboard - tried two different BIOS D945PVS (according to newest and newest).
    Processor Pentium D 3.0 GHz
    3.0 GB RAM 667 MHz
nVidia GeForce GT 220, 1 GB of VRAM, connected via HDMI for display in 1080 p (latest verified driver) (second video tried - card was first nVidia 210, 512 GB of VRAM)
Installed at the Manitoba Intel Gigabit network reports, cable and adapter gigabit connection speed
Three different tried sound options - Creative Soundblaster X - Fi Elite Pro; MB base IDT HD Codec; nVidia HD Audio, with video/HDMI card).

I updated all the drivers and installed all Windows updates.  I could really use some help.  I did everything I can think of short of a repair upgrade/reinstall of the operating system.  Thank you, in advance, for your help.

Well, finally solved the problem.  It turns out that lower level nVidia graphics card I tried (the 210 and GT220) couldn't handle Internet TV via Windows Media Center to the high resolution, I tried to use (1920 x 1080, in my case).  I pulled a map of greater chart end of one of my other computers (a nVidia 9800GT) and Internet TV has played without incident a few hours.  I don "t know where the dividing line is between inadequate and adequate performance GPU, but the GT220 (which I think is about equivalent to a 9400GT) did not work and the 9800GT has done.

So, if you have a skip/stutter problem, either try a lower resolution or a more powerful card.

  • Since this morning I can't watch live TV on media center. It was working fine until last night.

I restart my computer couple time. But it's still not.

    You can watch recorded tv?

Here are a few suggestions: -.

Try a Restore.Select system of any restore point when everything was fine.

You can uninstall and reinstall the tv tuner card driver. Visit the tv tuner card manufacturer's Web site to download and install the latest compatible driver.

If the above does not help try this: -.

Open WMC > tasks > settings > General > Windows Media Center Setup > run the Setup again.

    Once done reconfigures MCE.

  • "no tuner available" error when you try to view live TV on media center

This problem appeared after I loaded WMP 11 to fix the problem with the inability to view .wmv files.  When the TV has stopped working, I brought back to WMP 10, but did not help.  Had a similar problem last year when I could get audio but no video and technician walked me through a registry fix.  I also tried to make the system recovery three times, but who do not have too. The only support of e-mail I got was to do a system recovery and eliminate all my programs.

Uninstall and reinstall your TV Tuner card driver, but also the decoder. Visit the manufacturers websites to download and install the latest updates. If necessary run the Media Center program installation in Windows Media Center.

  • "Copying prohibited" error recorded and live TV on Media Center Win7

    Hello

How long it will take for Microsoft to respond properly to this problem which have thousands and thousands of people.  There are forms and discussions all over the Internet with exactly the same problem.  After I installed Windows 7 and have absolutely no problems until a few weeks ago.  You can't watch the TV show whether direct or reading as a record course.  My problem started just after the updates have been made on 14 January, but I think it's just a coincidence.  It seems also occur when you watch the show on a HD channel.  At the same time if the program is available on a post not HD see you and be able to save it.  I have done everything recommended by the folks at Microsoft for seven different forms and the problem persists.  It's a software program problem or a problem of cable company that Microsoft has been unable or unwilling to respond to.  Just acknowledge the problem and stop putting your customers through the time wasting recommendations that will not fix the problem.  Throughout the Internet, it seems that each host Microsoft has a different answer and a recommendation for the same problem.  When things have been OK with everyone and suddenly the problem began, it is clear that he has nothing to do with the hardware, what a person uses or the supplier who provides the programming.  There is no need to ask as many questions that a person gives up trying to get an answer, when it becomes blatantly obvious, that this is not a personal matter.  Thank you and please send all your Media Center users troubled and frustrated at a place where we can finally get the answer correct and consistent.

    Thank you

the card and the drivers with and without the software. Here is a copy of a report of error 1001

    Hi Davidn4,

Thanks for posting on answers.microsoft.com community forum.

    An event that I did research I found this instance occurred on another system, and this is what has been the instance;

    "

Whenever you select live TV in Windows Media Center, it is as he tries to access the TV tuner card, but it times out. I have the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR150, Media Center Kit for the PCI slot. When she finally leaves tries to display the TV it says "Decoder error" and "video decoder is either defective or is not installed." Restart the computer or Windows Media Center. "

    "

Because your system is not allowing the error before the reading of the reboot of the system.

We download the Vista decoder for and then try it to run your process again.

Here's a general link for set-top boxes, however, you can go to the website of cards and looking for the decoder from here or try a search online because it is decoder Vista.  Don't forget no decoders are not usually created by Microsoft, and we can not guarantee the results of third party downloads or the stability of your system after such a transfer, so be careful when downloading from other sites.

Please let us know if there are any necessary information or if that solves the problem.

Thanks again for posting on our forum.

    Kind regards
