  Please excuse the noob question, as I'm pretty new to this whole mess. I use Dreamweaver 8 on Vista Ultimate with all bells and whistles installed IIS. I have all administrator privileges.
  
  I'm trying to set up a Web page that can put/get a simple MS Access 2007 database records.
  
  Say that I call my site 'Test '. I've implemented all local content in a folder
  
  C:\Users\Me\Documents\Web_Sites\Test
  
  And set up a remote folder and my test server folder in
  
  Inetpub\wwwroot\Test C:\
  
  I of course have already configured my Access database and established as a data source using the ODBC Administrator. Connection all tests check out OK.
  
  
  Now for the problem:
  I'm trying to create a Javascript .asp page (let's call it "/file.asp"), connect to the database and create a Recordset. I drag and drop recording of data, I want to display my .asp page and just to see if the thing works, I hit the live data view button to see what it gives me. I get the following error:
  
  "An error occurred in asking for the document from the test server:
  
  "An error has occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator.
  
  If I try to open the page in Internet Explorer by going to
  
  http://localhost/test/file.asp
  
  I get a HTTP 500 error, which I understand he says essentially nothing.
  
  Anyone have any ideas what I should do to get this simple scenario to work?

  OK, problem solved! The second problem was just residual code from a previous version of the file that has not been deleted for some reason any. Create a new file and POW! She works!

  I must have hit a combination of keyboard keys that got rid of my 'Live View' of my top Panel icon. I tried to change the workspace (including default) configurations, but that did not help.
  Now, I don't see icon Live View in DW CS4. Does anyone know how to get it back?

• Updated CS3 to CS4

  I have an old Mac, specs are:

  Mac OS X 10.5.8

  2, Dual 3 GHz Power PC G5

  2 GB DDR2 SDRAM

  I have the CS3 Master Collection installed on it, but I need to create content using After Effects CS4.  Since there is no way that I'm aware of to use a project of AE CS4 with CS3, is it possible to upgrade only After Effects CS4?  And I really need After Effects, other programs, I'm fine with your stay as CS3... Hey well at least for the moment.

  Another option, I am willing to consider is a method to use CS4 to CS3 comps.

  Can someone give me advice?

  Adobe does not sell older versions of their software, so if you really want to CS4, then you will have to find a third-party vendor and try your luck there.  If you can work by saving your files CS4 CS3 files then you could install the trial version and you would have 30 days to obtain registration to CS3 accomplished.

  My PS CS3 and CS4, reloaded actually programs them but need to activate without the need of upgrades. HOW TO MAKE!

  If CS3 is an upgrade, it would need a serial number to a version prior to installation qualification and the serial number for CS3 would be eligible for the upgrade to CS4.

  If you have your registered Adobe products, you can go online and get them.

• Impossible to re - install CS3 and CS4 on Mac software [was: I've tried and failed]

  Please, I tried a week ago recharge my copies saved of PS CS3, AE CS4 DW CS4, CS4 FL without success.  My Mac Pro recently crashed.  I used my thumb backup Lion for restore from time machine, but all products Adobe came up with the error message: "lack of resources".  I can't uninstall or reinstall the software.  I've been on the phone of the India with support, posted here and on Creative Cow.  I would really like to continue my work, but have not had much success.  I even spent hours trying to manually remove the files, also with no luck.  Please help me understand how I can reinstall my software.

  I've recently upgraded from CS3 to CS4.         Mac OS X 10.4.11

  I have problems with the boxes more opening of CS3 to CS4.

  Also, when you create a zone in CS4 for example; 3 "x 3" it can draw its enlarge. That is to say; 3,0756 "X 3,097"

  'Use the preview limits' is probably switched on.

  The setting can be found in the drop down menu under the 'general' section of your preferences or your panel align.

• Keep InDesign CS3 when CS4 installation

  I need to keep InDesign CS3 on my PC for compatibility with colleagues, but upgrade to CS4. Can I keep both? (One of our printers wants certain things in CS2, and it of also on my computer and works very well.)

  I'm upgrading from my standalone CS3 to CS4 a stand-alone. By the way, also have the Web Standard Suite CS4 installed (does not inDesign), which caused no problems with the help of the autonomous CS3 to InDesign.

  Any help would be appreciated. I really don't want to have to disable or remove CS3.

  I have InDesign CS3 and standalone CS4 installed on my desktop PC at home with CS4 Web Premium. No problems.

• Why the look of the evolution of the Photoshop CS3 to CS4 toolbar?

  A nice visual feature to Mac in Photoshop 7, Photoshop CS3 was the appearance of "brilliant" from the toolbar that has acquired the Aqua interface.  Now in CS4, the toolbar looks more like the version of Windows (more bland).  I know that 'how the program research' does not change the way that Photoshop is used, I just thought I would ask in the forums why they would change the appearance of the toolbar for Mac they have had for 7 years.

  I've never worked with a Tablet, so I can't address your concerns there.

  The guy at the Apple Store has been/is just. You CAN run Photoshop for Windows on a Mac. There are several way to do.

  1 boot Camp. -It comes with OS X, so don't buy anything. As long as you have a Windows install disc newerr than XP SP2, you can load. Downside is: you must stop and restart Windows with Boot Camp. No access to OS X. it is difficult if you are working with files in one and go to the other to change.

  2 VMWare Fusion - not free, but you can run Windows while you're still under OS X. very well with two monitors; Windows on one single, OS X, on the other. VMWare Tools allows to drag files from right Mac to the Windows Desktop also.

  3 parallels Desktop - once again not free, but has the same features as VMWare. and you can access files of two operating systems with the other OS.

  I use VMWare and tried to Parallels. I have XP, Vista and Windows 7, loaded as a virtual machines and CS3 and CS4 software running in each of them. Windows seems to actually runs faster on a Mac.

  I want to migrate my actions of CS3 to CS4. The CS4 is a new installation on a Windows 7 fresh, CS3 settings I only have a backup of my drive before installing new. This backup, I checked the "C:\Users\ < username > \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Presets\Actions" folder, but it is empty. In my CS3, I had a lot of actions, sorted into different folders. Other presets (as for turns or the mixer channels) are there, so I'm pretty confident that my backup worked correctly.

  Am I missing something here and find the CS3 stock elsewhere or are they gone for good?

  Different folders like in different action sets in the Actions Panel, right? have you actually used the Save Actions command in the Actions panel menu? If you don't back up then try to copy this file: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Adobe Photoshop CS3 Settings\Actions Palette.psp in the same place but with CS4 instead of CS3 in the path

  There are a few problems with a few plug-ins from third parties, and After Effects CS4 users should switch to After Effects CS4 (9.0.2). Michael Coleman and I try to keep track of issues as they arise. See this post and links it to what we know so far.

• Install upgrade between CS3 and CS4

  I want to upgrade my current installation of Indesign CS3 to CS4 (not the entire creative suite). All I got is a new serial number. Can someone tell me what is the best way to do the upgrade? It just that I need to change a license file or run the CS3 installation routine still more enter the new number series or should I still CS3 uninstall first? Apart from this, is it possible that I can keep my version of Indesign CS3 running outside my new version of Indesign CS4?

  You can upgrade independent InDesign CS3 to InDesign CS4 standalone without removing the old product.

  It is the best way.

  Run the installation of new, and there you go, your old installation remains intact. Now you can edit the two generations of InDesign files.

  You can't pass a single product to a suite.
