LiveCycle form edited in acrobat

Static LiveCycle form must edited in acrobat and the field name will be the same. Is this possible? How can I achieve this?

Hello

Forms created in the designer of the LC (XFA forms) can be saved as static PDF forms or dynamic XML Forms. While they opened in Acrobat/Reader, they are completely different forms developed in Acrobat (AcroForms) or PDFs of interpretation.

You cannot change the structure of the static PDF (XFA) form or add new fields in Acrobat. You will need to reopen in the LC designer and work on it.

Hope that helps,

Niall

    Why doesn't DC Reader/Acrobat to open LiveCycle Forms produce mobile (iPad version) and is there an intention any to remedy this major omission? It seems incredible that the reader cannot open a document PDF produced by one of own Adobe products, especially when the Mac version of office the player can perform this task.  Also, I have Acrobat Pro XI but seem not to be able to use it to convert the LiveCycle document a version of the portable player capable of handling. • Is legends - possible to add captions on form field in Acrobat Pro XI similar to LiveCycle?

    I lost LiveCycle when CreativeCloud and form field captions were easy. Is there an easy way to make legends of form field in Acrobat Pro XI? Or should I just create fields legend separated for each field? I hope I'm missing just something obvious...

    Lol you can use (read only) text field with a name similar (like 'name'

    (and "Name tag"), but the two will not be "linked" to another.

    Whenever I have save the Livecycle form in pdf format, it has security on it. I want all safety offshore so that I can edit the pdf file by using all the tools in Acrobat. How can I save the Livecycle form in PDF with all safety off?

    I want all safety offshore so that I can edit the pdf file by using all the tools in Acrobat.

    It is impossible with a form in LiveCycle Designer. Create the form with Acrobat and you can use all the tools in Acrobat.

  • Deleting a form in Adobe Acrobat XI field

    I think I met a bug in Adobe Acrobat XI.  I have a PDF with form fields, and I am totally unable to delete a certain field (I don't create intentionally). Field is invisible and has no name, and the option 'Highlight the existing fields' shadow NOT the pale purple field - it's as if the field isn't really there.  Here's how he behaves (to facilitate the discussion, I'll call the field the field 'empty'):

    • In form editing mode, I can see the black outline of the empty field (with a tab order of 0). It has no name. I can point to the empty field and select it, and the outline becomes bright blue with handles. When I press DELETE or right-click the field and click on 'Remove', nothing happens. When I close the edit form, the empty field disappears.
    • If I display the content pane and look at individual annotations, I find two fields with the same named (it is only meant to be my document with this name, a field). When one is selected, the corresponding field described in faded blue; When I click on the other, the empty field, that I can not delete becomes shown in faded blue (but still with no name). By pressing the del key at this time there does nothing.

    Whether or not the form field is labeled, I can't delete it.  Also, I can't change its properties to make it hidden.  I could start from scratch, but I spent a lot of time on this form makes it accessible, and I don't want to re-do.  I need to get rid of this blank!  How?  (P.S. This happened to me before, so it is not just a stroke of luck.)

    I saw this happen as well. The only way I found to get rid of these fields is using the redaction tool.

  • Editable in Acrobat ms fields

    How to create edible fields in Acrobat DC. I need contain color, font and size. Help, please

    Open a PDF file and in the right pane, click the icon to "prepare the form." This will put you in form editing mode where you can add different types of form fields by using the tools in the toolbar. Double-click a field to bring up the Properties dialog box, where you can set the font, size, color, etc.

  • E-mailing of Livecycle forms

    I've read several FAQS on this but always seem to have questions. I created a form with a submit button, using livecycle and then saved as a static PDF file.  The form was then related to a Web site for users to submit information for registration for a meeting.  The problem is that users are across the United States and some of the forms that I get are empty, some apparently empty fields until that click in then them the text appears.  Some users cannot use the submit button.  I'm desperately need help as the registration process has already begun. http://mic3.net/documents/2013Annual_Meet_Reg.pdf.  Thank you

    I found have no extended drive form, so it does not work for them with only Adobe Reader, it will work for them who have Acrobat Pro. Need to ReaderExtend the form. Through Acrobat pro or LiveCycle ReaderExtensions.

    Thank you

    Sidonie.

  • Created LiveCycle Form, permits for player rights, user rights opens disabled!

    Hi, I create forms for my company using LiveCycle Designer on PC. So I did for 3 years. Using XP, then Windows 7 and now Windows 8. I have created over 100 forms in this way, static and dynamic, usually with digital signatures and several pages. I have download the portal of the employees of our company and they are downloaded and sent locations around the United States and Puerto Rico. My normal process is to create in LiveCycle, open them in Acrobat Pro, extend rights to the drive, then save and download for employees.

    After the release of Reader X I started having complaints from employees that their forms did not allow to save or sign. After a few months of this I realized that almost all of my forms were doing that and I can't find a common denominator among them! Some of them are rather static, dynamic, some have signatures, others not, some complicated calculations, some do not... etc.

    Today I did some experiementing and created a simple form with only basic text fields, I saved on my computer, extended rights, then open in XI on the same drive. No problem. Then sent to myself, he opened on my laptop using the XI player. Problem. This is the message that I had and that all my employees get.

    "This document contained certain rights to activate special features in Adobe Reader." The document has been modified since its creation, and these rights are no longer valid. Please contact the author for the original version of this document. »

    As you can imagine, it's a huge problem for my company as we rely on this forms for all current work days. I searched the forums here and tried a few solutions but none seem to be anywhere near target. Thanks for any help or someone can give advice. (Sorry for the long question, but I thought that it better all along!)

    Well, I was initially hoping that's computers to my employees, but they are distributed on the East Coast with changing levels of computer skills and I could not just to nail a common point between them. Different versions, time zones and BONE (some XP and a few Windows 7). I went ahead and sent you an email. Thank you!!!

  • AutoFill Forms in Adobe Acrobat 8

    I am trying to create a field that automatically auto another field.  I tried to copy and paste the text boxes with the same name and replace the field by its very name, but I had no luck.  I also went to forms in double issue that failed.

    I'm just now using Adobe Acrobat 8; advice would be appreciated.

    This form was created in LiveCycle Designer (XFA form), so the rules that apply to the forms created in Acrobat (Acroforms) do not necessarily apply. What you need to do to get it to behave the way you want is to set the binding of the fields to 'Global' as 'Normal' opposite To do this on the tab link of the palette object for the text field. If you have any questions in the future on the forms that you create in LiveCycle Designer, it is best to post in the forum of LiveCycle Designer here.

  • Merger of Livecycle form into 1 PDF file

    Can someone tell me please how to merge into a single PDF Livecycle forms! When I merge forms only the last form has to generate data.

    Unfortunately, I don't think you can do this with CF. IIRC, forms are flattened when you perform a merge. CF not allowing the flattening of LiveCycle forms (licensing reasons...), this is probably why you end up with one or more blank forms. You can complete the forms LiveCycle of CF, but flattening is only possible with LiveCycle.

    I created form in adobe acrobat X 1 Professional.

    Now, I want to put logic on a field.

    I want that the document will be closed if someone between age under the age of 18. and display a message for minors?

    The final document is a little drastic... Perhaps simply display an error message? In any case, you can do it like this, as a custom field validation script:

    if (event.value && Number(event.value)<18) {
        app.alert("You must be an adult to fill in this form!");
        this.closeDoc(true);
    }

    Be aware that using this code will close the file without saving it, and the user will lose all unsaved data that they have entered.

    Hi Ion,

    Forms Central is longer now.

    FormsCentral

    A trial version of forms used to be installed as part of Acrobat PRO XI Central desktop application.

    It is no longer available and is not included in Acrobat DC, however, you can always create PDF using Acrobat PRO from DC forms.

    In the boxes use the "Mouse Up" with the action "run a JavaScript.

    Example for the "Ergebnisvergleich", you can use JavaScript the suite:

    field var = this.getField ("Verdeckung Ergebnisvergleich");

    If (event.target.isBoxChecked (0)) {}

    Field.Display = display.hidden;

    } else {}

    Field.Display = display.visible;

    }
