• Best method for multi-developer Server Variables / multi-server environment?

  In addition to having a development environment on my laptop and my desktop computer, we have a staging server and a production server. In addition, we have one or more developers and contributors who may have one or more development that is clean environments.

  Each of these environments may have their own copy of ColdFusion (developer, standard, enterprise - everything is required) and their own copy of SQL Server Express / whatever, their own data source name, the name of user of data, password data, names of CF mappings and so on.  So, while SQL tables and the structure of the code directories is all the same, there are many different things from one to the other.

  Certainly, we need to have a large number of variables so that when someone downloads via SVN commit they don't live, everybody to the top, because they push their own local names in place.

  How do you manage that?  XML file?  CFC? some form of. INI file?   Looking for a solid way to handle this for a multitude of environments and developers, I welcome so see YOUR solution.

  I have some difficulty to get the multi development environment - user works correctly.
  
  Our server OBIEE (11g) is on some sort of linux machine, I don't have access to directly (practices of strict security to the company). I can connect to enterprise manager, however. We use the tool of administration remotely from a Windows jumpbox.
  
  We have a Windows jump box that is the only way to connect to the server in OBIEE, that I do not have access to Port 9703 is open between these machines so that communicate with the server in OBIEE administration tool. It works very well from the Windows machine with respect to the edition of the standard in online mode and see the changes in the responses. Any user who wants to be able to use the administration tool must be first Office remote access to the jumpbox. So all development occurs only from this machine, very probably several users at the same time.
  
  After you open the online repository, I copied it to a local directory on the Windows computer. Then, I opened this depot offline and created projects (I've added BM and matter to a project, which is the right way?). Then I set up a folder shared on the Windows computer network and stressed the administration tool this directory and copied the repository to the shared directory.
  
  I can go to file-> multi-user-> Checkout and select a project, make changes, compare the changes, merge them and publish them. However, none of these changes aren't being propagated to the server. I'm fairly certain that the 'master' repository is changed only in the windows box, and nothing is propagated to the OBIEE server on the Linux machine.
  
  I guess my question is, if I'm unable to set up a shared folder on the real server (due to security policies), is implemented things MÜDE to do something? Is there a way I can set up so that the shared folder is on the Windows machine, and it updates the real repository sat on the Linux OBIEE server machine? I really want to refrain from someone go to Enterprise Manager each time just to load the new file to the repository.

  You will need to configure a script that does the following:

  -Stop the services on the Linux server
  -Copy the fender - of your shared windows folder to the folder on the server Linux
  -Restart the services

  Whenever you have checked in your changes, you must run the script to put your changes online.

• Sysax Multi Server cannot be started

  When the server is started, the message "the Sysax multi Server does not start. In Control Panel, I had selected the default ports and had chosen the FTP server.

  Sometimes the message "server is running" appears, but when I go to the HTTPS server interface does not work.

  I thought this might be a problem with port and uninstalled some servers with the help of other ports from my computer in the case and restarted.

  I disabled Norton Firewall smart and disabled the Windows Firewall.

  The customer support has stopped Sysax Multi Server since 2008 for this software (not mentioned in the announcement). It is windows XP compatible and certified Vista. The problem does not occur when the trial version, and that my license is again a few weeks I am looking for free or paid support.

  A counselor or a support on obtaining this server to start, or else finding which program may use the port would be appreciated.

  I wonder if it is permitted to install XE in a virtual server environment (for example, the digital ocean droplets)

  as the specification for the virtual host is 1 CPU with 1 GB of RAM?

  Are there constraints based on licenses, because the 'drop' (= virtual server) probably works on a very

  XE have been installed in many virtual environments such as Digital Ocean and Amazon Web Services. You can find many messages to blog about it. 11 g license Guide:

• 9.0.2 CF multi server config, IIS site uses the connector bad, how do I change the connector to point to its own instance of CF

  Yesterday, I found that an IIS site that is supposed to be connected to its own instance of CF is actually connected to another instance of CF. Our configuration is the following

  Windows Server 2008 R2, Coldfusion 9.0.2 Multi server enterprise edition, IIS 7

  Instances of ColdFusion: P1, P2, V1

  Clusters: Primaire1: contains P1 & P2

  Site1 IIS Web site is connected to the Cluster primaire1

  Site2 IIS Web site is connected instance CF V1

  I myself stopped instance CF V1, but IIS V1 site was still running. After much digging, I found this site V1 is not actually connected to the CF P1, an instance of CF V1 instance. I used the web site1 at CF instance V1 connection configuration tool. In IIS the JWildCardHandler site1 points to \JRun4\lib\wsconfig\3\jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll. JWildCardHandler for site2 points to the same directory \JRun4\lib\wsconfig\3\jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll. Here is my dilemma. How can I get JWildCardHandler site2 to point to its own folder under \JRun4\lib\wsconfig, say 14 instead of 3. I don't want to use the web config tool becauseI don't know if it will delete the folder ...\webconfig\3 if another site is still using it. I saw the web configuration tool remove the folder when you remove this connector in the tool.

  So I thought that I would try to manually configure the connectors. That's what I did

  Copy the folder wsconfig\3 wsconfig\14

  en...\wsconfig\wsconfig.properties - ensured site2 exist and referenced instance CF V1

  ...\wsconfig\14\jrun_iis6_wildcard.ini

  serverstore = /JRun4/lib/wsconfig/14jrunserver.store

  127.0.0.1:51007 = bootstrap - 51007 is the port of the proxy that the JRun Management Console is instance CF V1

  ... \wsconfig\jrunserver. Store

  proxyservers = (in file #3 set for P1 and P2 proxy ports)

  
  

  Then, I went into IIS and changed JWildCardHandler from site2 to \JRun4\lib\wsconfig\14 \jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll instead of \JRun4\lib\wsconfig\3\jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll. After you restart IIS sites site1 or site2 came. I went back in and came back JWildCardHandler back to the \JRun4\lib\wsconfig\3\jrun_iis6_wildcard.dll site2 and they both come. I think that I restarted CF both times, but really forget that I was in a bit of fashion panic.

  
  

  Is that what sounds like it should work? Does anyone know of any files that I missed trying to configure site2 to point to the CF V1 instance? Any ideas are appreciated.

  What I understood why 2 Web sites were using the same instance of Coldfusion. 2 Web sites share the same files, sharing the same web.config file. Change the JWildCardHandler, in IIS, for a website has changed the web.config file that is shared by both sites. If I find a way around it, I'll post my solution in case anyone else runs into this situation.

• Unable to give a different port in the shared server environment

  I changed my database (oracle 11 GR 2-EE) shared server environment. I gave the dispatcher, shared_server... parameters etc. If my interlocutor is listening on port 1521 (default port), then I can connect to the database using the connection to a shared server. This connection works fine.
  
  
  
  But if change the listening port to the port by default (Say 1551), then I cann't connect to the database using the connection of shared server. But I can connect using dedicated port connection (1551).
  
  
  I gave the dispatcher parameter like below,

  We installed the version multi-server (CF 7.0.1) on 2 servers to a cluster.
  
  We have created an instance on both machines (with different names). When you try to save one of them as a remote instance, before defining a cluster, the message "Network error" appears in the admin interface. The log file does no further clue.

  With many thanks to Nick Watson from Adobe to finally find the solution:

  What you need to do is to put a bindAddress and unicastPeer in the /servers/ {JRUN_HOME} {NAME}/SERVER-INF/jrun.xml SERVER INSTANCE of file on two servers like that

  In the section

  Add this line

  THE IP ADDRESS OF THE REMOTE SERVER

  Then add in the proxyservice the bindAddress
  

  ADD the following
  IP ADDRESS OF THE SERVER

  Do this on both servers

  Then
  Edit the jndi.properties on each server
  {JRUN_HOME} {SERVER INSTANCE NAME}/SERVER-INF/jndi.properties /servers/
  Change this line
  Java.naming.Provider.URL=localhost\:port NUMBER

  TO

  Java.naming.Provider.URL = IP ADDRESS OF THE SERVER\:PORT NUMBER

  and add this:

  Java.rmi.Server.HostName = IP ADDRESS OF THE SERVER

  Restart both instances

  From there you should be able to record every remote instance on the server in the face and create the cluster

  I installed the PIA using the multi-server, specifying an authentication token and so on, but I am unable to connect to the application - or even to get a login screen. All servers are on Enterprise Linux 5.5.
  
  From servers PIA produces no entry in the < RUNNING > watch _stderr.log and _stdout.log for WebLogicAdmin and PIA

  Review all your/etc/hosts, everything should be like:
  ip_address servername servername.domain.name
  Otherwise, the IP address in the configuration.properties should work.

  I have the following situation.
  
  Two Tables
  Table1 has a primary key named ID column
  Tabel2 contains a column named table1_id, this is a foreign key to table1.
  
  I have a tabular report that contains an add record button and a button submit to table1. (this table has other columns that require attribution)
  
  I want to insert a record into table2 automatically whenever the user presses submit.
  
  I have a query like this to get the last record in table1:

  and I would use it in a submit after procedure like this:

  The thing that worries me, is that the application that I use is a multi user environment. I'm afraid that if two or more people use as MAX recording is not the right one.
  It's a legitimate concern?

  The triggers are usually avoidable IMO. But, there is always a but, you already use triggers elsewhere in your application, and probably your form the apex uses the routines of APEX MRU for DML and thus leaves the trigger as the only viable option to achieve what you're trying to do.

  In my customer's environment, we have deployed Terminal Server. Users access the browser application.

  In the browser, we have the static path. We want that the users must not allow to change the URL.  In other words need not be changed.

  Is there in the domain policy, where we block users to change the URL.

• Importing data in a multi-tenant environment

  I need a solution in a multitenant environment where customers can send large amounts of data by post on a physical storage device, and we can import into the data center.  How can I design my infrastructure for this?  Should I create an intermediate storage solution, where I can plug in a USB device and copy them to a special data store that has special security and containment and then selectively allow it to transfer to selective areas only?  The problem is that if the customer must give us a virtual machine to import with 4 TB of data, it is no good way to download where we would have controls real network set up to analyze the data and to ensure that what can be done on the vpn connection.

  However if a storage device can be browsed in the data center that we do not know what is on it, it could potentially have anything on that.  That means good design to enable this to happen look like when I determine what this client USB storage device will connect to the and where the entry point so that the data will be in our environment?

  You could, but especially you'd before the data is loaded just to be sure. You have your "trustzone infiltration" and 'transfer trustzone', then 'tenant '. This way your penetration device (USB over IP, whatever) cannot directly touch the tenant. I put what I consider each area to be in parentheses.

  Penetration: (red, untrusted, outside)

  USB over IP w/target penetration VM w/tenant data VMDK.

• New server environment ESXi5

  Of all my studies, I understand that DNS is fundimental to the works of ESXi.

  However, I will build a new network with no infrastructure exsiting. That's why no DNS, I intend to host my DNS on my virtual domain controller.

  What is the best way to do this?

  I also want to use the server vCenter OVF, but you need to to build the VSphere environment, to put the virtual vCenter vCenter on to.

  You won't need to install DNS immediately.  Install your ESXi host and deploy the vCenter OVF appliance on it.  Then use the vCenter to create your ad / DNS server (you need not AD for DNS,) and then go back and configure your DNS server in the ESXi / vCenter.

  Although HA has no obligation of DNS more, errors with the console and other redirection can occur when using vCenter to manage your environment, so get the DNS records and servers put everything away before creating your environment more far.
