  When a device is connected to a new port for the first time, the device driver is recovered by the system and then installed. It may not make much sense, but it happens. However, this should really be a 'behind the scenes' process, and you should not see multiple entries when you go to Control Panel > Printers.

If you are comfortable with troubleshooting, he will guide you through manually remove the system printer.
