• Missing my transition on the Timeline Photoshop effect

  In Photoshop, I create a 2.5 D photograph parallax.  I have placed all my elements down in my timeline, and when I tried to click on the keyframe of 'transition', he disappeared.  Can someone tell me where I can find this?

  Nevermind, I fixed it only.  And it was the effect of 'transition', it was to "transform".  I had just converted the elements of smart objects before putting them in the timeline panel.  DOH!  :-)

  I tried to line up a few existing keyframes in several layers between them. I was surprised that I could align objects in the composition, but not in the timeline panel. So I did some research. I found something that might help, but I don't think that it is the complete answer. I think it would be nice to get other opinions / suggestions for a better way.

  I've followed this process:

  • Open the layers to keyframes in the timeline
  • All selected keyframes
  • Click the graph Editor button
  • Set the Snap (button magnet on the bottom of the graph editor)
  • Manually, drag key image desired to align together

  I've seen other suggestions for scripts or cut and paste keyframes. Although they should work, it would great if I could select multiple keyframes and tell them of centering alignment, align left or align right.

  Does anyone know of this ability in AE?

  Windows always configures updates while shutting down the machine and the later start. I tried all the methods described on the microsoft Web site, including the removal of the files in the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution after stopping the update service, using fixit and using the analysis tool. All in vain.

  Update of Windows gives an error code 80070002. I have this problem since December 14, 2011.

  Thank you for your advice. I have solved my problem. The approximate sequence of change made is:

  Remove pending.xml file.
  Rename the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.
  Calendar Checkdisk and reboot your pc.
  Run as administrator command prompt and type sfc/scannow, and then press ENTER.
  After completion, reboot your pc and try to install the updates.

• Still of times on 'Add to the timeline' 6.5

  I have a sequence of TIFF files that represent "cells" of an animation.  I am able to import the file, and then add them to a timeline as a whole lot.  However, the stills all end up on the timeline with a duration of 5 seconds.  In "Preferences > General and fixed images > images > duration by default" I put a value of 30 frames (or 5 or 10).  However, still the TIFF meet at 5 seconds when I add them to the timeline.

  How could I add the stills to the timeline so that they end up in the default duration for still Images?  (so I don't have to change everything manually, one at a time... it doesn't seem to be possible to make a change of term 'lot' for clips... or is it?)

  Any help with this would be appreciated.

  Unfortunately, you will need to re import the photos into the project. You are on the right track with Edit > Preferences, but this must be set before the import. Just remove and then import again, once you have set the preferences for the duration you need.

  CS4 has added a way to modify the duration of the imported stills, but it is only very recently.

  I use After Effects CS 5.5 on Windows 7. When I use the mouse to click / drag / scroll the timeline, a real-time updated view, it's great! If I open a second point of view, it does update this notice when I finished the scrolling.

  I would like to be able to scroll back the timeline and update in real-time (live update) has two different compositions?

  The long answer is: No. it isn't even a matter of performance, this is how AE evaluates the time, because the time is fluid and can be truncated to 1 million ways to time remapping to expressions...

  When you select the option of time remapping in the tool button in the action bar, you should go to an any other workspace, one dedicated to the time remapping effect. You shouldn't see the chronology of regular edition.

  You click to select a clip on the timeline, then you click on tools, then time-remapping. Opens in the workspace of time remapping.

  You are actually clicking to select one (and only one) clip on the timeline, before selecting the time remap tool, right?

• Still burned DVD takes a long time to load into the reader

  I created a DVD in Encore CS3.  The final DVD is approximately 60 minutes and has 4 menus created in Photoshop CS3.  I purchased the Dolby converted in first and used this file as PCM format indicated by a friend vs.   The DVD works fine but takes a long time to load in one of my DVD players.

  A Sony player, it takes between 40 minutes and up to 70 seconds to load and play the first menu.  Each time is different.

  (This same drive load purchased in-store Hollywood style DVD in about 15 seconds on average)

  In another Sony player my DVD on average about 25 seconds

  A Panasonic player, it takes about 15 seconds

  In a portable player from JVC, it takes about 8 seconds.

  That is what it is?  This DVD is created for replication in a large number, but I'm afraid the long loading time is a problem and you want to solve this problem before sending it to the wide for replication.

  One consideration is that there is no DVD drive certified to play any burned DVD, only those press/replicated. Most do and do as well, with provisions, but some don't.

  Now for these provisions. High quality blank media will get a closer all the success, just like using a slower speed of the burn, as the max. These two considerations will get a close, as it is possible.

  What brand of blank media are you using? Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden are about as good as it gets.

  How fast you burn to? I would look into a speed in the middle of the range permitted by the combo of speed by the media and the burning speed. Slower is better than more fast.

  As Stanley, there may be differences with r and + R media and players. There has been much more a problem, but some players still might prefer a vs the other.

  Finally, when you say "replicated", do you mean that you send in a DLT to make a House of replication a glassmaster, where the DVD is going to be in a hurry? If Yes, these replicated discs will be like the Hollywood DVD and will be NOT burnt, as was your test drive. The question will be moot with these, as they will be DVD-videos, where your burned DVD is really a DVD - ROM.

  In Final Cut Pro 7, you can use editing > find command to search on used clips in the sequence. See if there is an equivalent command in FCE. Unfortunately, I can't determine that at first hand on my system. (In addition, if you are still interested whereas FCP X, there the so-called Timeline index which provides quick access to a list of markers, clips, effects, etc..)

  I use PPCS4. I noticed that no matter what new clip that I bring in the timeline to a keyframe effect time remapping to 100%. Is this normal?

  I would like to see no time remap keyframe by default and there are still 100%. The reason is that I use the Mercalli stable plugin and will not work if the time remapping a key image on it. So I always have to erase it first was can use the plugin. A bit boring.
