Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using the methods above
It is preferable to ensure that the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.

  • Temporary profile loaded trying to change user

How can I prevent a temporary loading profile when I try to switch from one user to another? As sometimes happens when a user is disconnected and trying to access another user from the home screen. I tried a deletion of the user profiels and resetting, which was a pain. It worked for awhile, but the old problem is back. The only surefire way to get a ride that's sutting down PC then restart him. The first a/c user selected will load then OK. We have a Director a/c and five normal users.

    Read this:

  • Profile of user not loaded correctly, you have been connected with a temporary profile. How can I fix it?

I use a Toshiba Satellite with windows vista. My father gave it to me, but instead of creating a new user account, I have renamed the original administrator account. two years later, I have 3 accounts on the laptop, which only the original is still the sole Director and has access to all partitions on the hard drive as well.

A week ago, my computer laptop power had reported issues so I immediately sent for repair. I came home today and the Standard 2 user accounts work perfectly. However when I connect to my original administrator account I get this pop - up message:

"The user profile was not loaded correctly. You have been logged on with a temporary profile. Changes to this profile will be lost when you log out. Check the log of the events for more information or contact your administrator "

I lost all my profile settings, including internet bookmarks, music playlists, etc. The office looks like a brand new installation of Vista and all the customization disappeared. I can't afford to lose all data. It is seriously important and was on my desk and in my documents.

How can I get my profile without losing any data?

    Hi Salman91,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Windows Vista Community.   New profile created, try browsing to the old profile (C:\users\username).  You should see all the old user data.  If this does not work, try to copy the files in Safe Mode.

Please let us know if that helps.

  • Common problem with temporary profiles being loaded

I have a recurring problem with temporary profiles being loaded.  This problem appears more widespread when moving from one user to another.  Usually it is a user with administrative privileges to a user with admin rights, but also occurs when switching between non-Admin users.  Reboot allows profile to be loaded successfully.  I saw posts on what it needs to be done with a single corrupt profile, but have not seen anything about this type of persistent problem.

Corruption of persistent profiles can be caused by 1) malware infection; (2) defective material. I would like to start by making a thorough analysis and then if the computer is clean, test the equipment. This last start by testing the RAM, then the hard drive.

A temporary profile is loaded after you connect to a Windows Vista-based system

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

322756 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322756/) how to back up and restore the registry in Windows

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

    1. Log in the system by using an administrative user account other than the user account that is experiencing the problem.
    2. Backup all data in the folder of the current user profile if the profile folder still exists and then delete the profile folder. By default, the profile is located in the following location:
      %SystemDrive%\Users\UserName
    3. Click Start, type regedit in the Search box and press ENTER.
      Collapse this includes this image

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.

    4. Locate the following registry subkey:
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
    5. Under the ProfileList subkey, delete the subkey named SID .bak.

Note SID is a placeholder for the security identifier (SID) of the user account that is experiencing the problem. The SID .bak subkey must contain a ProfileImagePath registry entry that points to the folder of the original profile of the user account that is experiencing the problem.

    6. Exit Registry Editor.
    7. Disconnect the system.
    8. Log the system again.

After you log in the system, the profile folder is re-created.

  • User account fails - temporary profile load when you try to connect

    Hello

I need help. Since today, I can not connect to my windows user account, an administrator account. When I start the computer, available user accounts (two) are correctly displayed with pictures profile, but when I try to connect to mine the log in procedure takes almost ten minutes and, eventually, windows cannot load my profile and gives me a temporary profile in place with just the default settings.

How can I get my user account to the service? (Restarting the computer does not help, signing on the temporary account in order to login to my account does not work either.)

    Thanks in advance,

    Andreas

OS: Windows 7, 32 bit, Home Premium

In principle, 'Yes', as suggested by ITknowledge24, but after a few business mixed upward account names I'm not so confident. If it was my own machine, then I leave the account as it is. Alternatively, you can create a restore point before moving forward so that you have a backup path rewrites.
