local HTML-files in app browser without download in HTMLRescources.zip?

Is it possible to display the local html file in the browser in app without download in HTMLRecources.zip?

If I use the overlay web content Folio I choose a local html file. It will be displayed another property but unfortunately in a setting not in the in-app browser.

Are there opportunities?

The only way to do this is through the HTMLResources.

  • Open Local HTML file in the browser to the app?

    Hello

We have a question, we want to make a link to a local HTML file form in a DPS article, it takes the HTML file to open in the browser in application; We cannot use an overlay of web content for this feature. We are able to do this easily with the content of a source online by creating a link to go to the URL of the Web site in the URL section.

Is it possible HTML form resources folder and can it be tested in adobe content viewer?

Or better yet can we easily link to a local folder using the go to URL with a local file path? If so what would it be?

    Thank you

    Dream awake

Yes, you can open an HTML file in a browser in app by adding the HTML file to the HTMLResources.zip. Create a button with an action to go to the URL that looks like this:

    HTMLResources/HTML_Local/index.html

Make sure that you create your HTMLResources.zip file correctly and transfer it into the folder. You can test it in Adobe Content Viewer on iPad or on the desktop so that get you a glimpse of the folio (not article or page layout).

Basically, you use the same technique to post a link to the HTML file that you use to post a link to the PDF files. For more details, see the application of DPS tips > Advanced overlays > linking to PDF files.

  • Load a local html file in the browser

I am retrieving the html content I want to update and then view it in the browser. I write the html code in a local file and then passing the file:/// url to the browser. However, all formatting is removed when the page is displayed. All the text on the page appears just in one big paragraph.

    It's on a curve with 4.2.1 software.

Anyone know why the Formatting disappears?

  • Opening of the local shared .html file in the browser?

My WebWorks application creates and saves the test.html file in the shared folder to 'blackberry.io.dir.appDirs.shared.documents.path' successfully. If I try to open this file in the browser of PB, like this

    var filePath = blackberry.io.dir.appDirs.shared.documents.path + "/ test.html ';

    var args = new blackberry.invoke.BrowserArguments (filePath);
    BlackBerry.Invoke.Invoke (blackberry.invoke.APP_BROWSER, args);

can I get an exception with the message: 'undefined '; I guess that the args object is not created. The browser is not started.

However, if I run the browser PB manually, navigate to the file test.html in the 'file:///accounts/1000/shared/' folder, I can open it.

    What Miss me? Thank you.

More surprises every day... Apparently, the browser of PB does not file:/// protocol support; He expects a URL that begins with http:// or https://. But I managed to write my own code to open the .html file in the browser of PB. However, it's disappointing to do this kind of "gymnastics" to activate the basic features.

  • How to pass parameters in local html files using InDesign?

How to pass parameters in local html files using InDesign, or how to pass info environment, such as the image, the html code is sitting on top in local html files in InDesign?  I try to use the code html-javascript, then simply pass parms to behave differently depending on where the code is placed in the folios of InDesign.  I don't know how to do it.  If I could read in some environment of the folio InDesign info by using html or javascript, which might work as well.  Please advise, thank you!

In indesign, you can draw a box and connect the html code to display in this box, if you do it this way you don't let the application in browser.  In the control panel overlays folio, its web called overlays.

I suggest you download Bringhursts ipad Bob application called DPS tips, it will give you a quick overview of all different overlays and basic opportunities.

Are these some HTML files that you have saved on your computer?

Firefox can display HTML files saved locally, but depending on how the pages were saved, some items may be missing. There are also some security restrictions that Firefox applies to files space in a different way than the pages on the web. Yet, it is worth a try.

Normally, by double-clicking the file will launch it in your default browser. If there are problems with the display, could you describe it in more detail?

The file is unzipped now... it's a folder art tutorial... and maybe I did the wrong thing by asking my Wordpad for opening the text file. Which is written in HTML. Whenever I click on it, all I get is the raw HTML on a wordpad document. Maybe I should try to download the tarball again? I have another one that is in PDF format, which is not a problem at all! It is with this text file not PDF that gives me headaches...

[EDIT] Nevermind, I found it! Change of Wordpad is not bad. I right click on this file and of course it shows Firefox as the first option! I don't know how I missed it before. But when I chose that file opened fine in the browser.

All is well now! Thank you! -rosebud

  • navigator_open_file or another method for opening the local html file

    Hello

Open file .html resourses app that I tried to use the navigator_open_file function.

The problem is that the browser cannot open it because of the access denied error.

So my question is how can I do this (open the location of application resources html file) in the other direction, or how to avoid the access denied error (I don't want to copy this file to another SD card or somwhere).

Can be in NDK also available something like webview control that can be used inside the application (this can solve the problem with access denied so )

    Many thanks in advance,

    Vitali

    Hi vitali,.

I'll you link to a previous post on the same topic. Read it all, and you will understand what your options are, and what are the limits.

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/native-development/using-Navigator-invoke-to-view-local-file-...

This thread should answer many of your questions. That being said, there is apparently a WebView control in stunts that could accomplish what you're looking for. However, I have never used, so I can't provide a lot of help. In addition, it requires BB10, which means it is for device Dev Alpha. If you develop for the PlayBook, you do not have a WebView available, and you will have to use methods that I mentioned in the link above.

    Hope that helps.

  • Many fonts render when Firefox opens the local html file

I use a 3 rd-party program called Fontlist. He reads all the fonts in the Windows fonts folder and then uses a line of the user selected text to generate a html file on the hard drive that shows the line of the text displayed in each font. Because it is a program of the 3rd part, I have no control over it is programming html.

When the generated html file is browsed with Internet Explorer, all fonts display correctly. When browsing with Firefox, maybe half or more fonts have a police-looking ordinary backup who suite. I was not able to discern any trend as to what type of font is displayed correctly or does not work.

In the research online, the problem, I saw a hint that assigning false to security.fileuri.strict_origin_policy could solve the problem. I tried, and it had no effect. Also, in the advanced option to fonts and colors, I checked the box to let web pages to choose their own fonts.

Would there be other parameters that would allow Firefox make virtually any standard font industry installed on the system? This can affect all 3 rd-party sources, not only Fontlist html files.

The css generated by Fontlist puts no quotes around the family names of fonts, including those with a numeric parameter. This explains the part of chess, but not all.

It is obvious that the html and css accepted by Internet Explorer is much more forgiving than FF.

The Fontlist developer will have to address this issue.

  • Flash cannot call the javascript function in the local html file

    Hello!

Us is to develop our first application on Playbook. It is an html file including a flash file and javascript code. Everything is packed in. in the file bar, a config.xml file and has been correctly loaded into the Playbook. Everything works locally (no web access)

Everything works well except when we use an ExternalInterface.call("saveglobalscore",score) in flash that calls a javascript function in the .html file.

In the actionscript3, we selected the "authorized local file access" and put the 'Security.allowDomain("*) '.

    Any ideas? Thank you!

External interface tries to access the files packaged locally is currently a known issue.  I have not really of a calendar when or if this can be resolved.  It may be in the code base of flash.

  • View the local html file

How to do this. I tried what follows that works well on Windows, but fails on MacOSX:

    LrHttp.openUrlInBrowser (_PLUGIN:resourceId "doc.html")

Ho YOU show a local help file (pdf or html format) cross-platform-compatible? Thanks in advance.

I was not looking for "run" again, because I had in my mind that on windows, the application parameter can be omitted and on a Mac, you must give the application to run.

That is right.  On Mac, you must use the 'open' program, that opens any file in its native application, for example

    Open "/ Users/username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Plugins/PluginName.lrdevplugin/help.html".

Here's the code that my file no matter what plugin uses to open any arbitrary file in its native application:

    If WIN_ENV then
    LrShell.openFilesInApp ({""}, file)
    on the other
    LrShell.openFilesInApp ({file}, 'open')
    end

It occurs to me that I can't have explicitly tested with filenames containing spaces on the Mac, so I don't know if the function openFilesInApp() handles spaces correctly.   If it isn't, then you can always fall down and call LrTasks.execute () directly.

  • I want to disable firefox 19 pdf viewer and use foxit in the browser without downloading.

I tried two methods that I have heard so far to disable the new firefox pdf 19 viewr:
-in total: config pdfjs.disable set to true
-options > Applications > set display pdf application

The problem: when I'm on the Foxit pdf viewing application, firefox automatically downloads the pdf file to open it in the separate application. Until firefox 19, application of Foxit reader will open in the browser. How can Foxit not having an add-on firefox, I disable the pdf viewer 19 firefox and use Foxit Reader to open PDF files as a new tab in the browser?

To display the content in a Firefox tab, it generally takes a plugin. If that's not come with the main installer, it seems that you can use one of them:

  • What is the structure of the way, when I OPEN a local html file on my C drive?

I downloaded html journal of WikiLeak afgan, which has links with the following format: "file:///afgan/type/air raid_0.htm". However, I put the files in a folder 'My Documents\WikiLeaks\HTMLfiles'. So now that the link does not work. What's wrong?

    This has happened

    Each time Firefox opened

No, it's a path to a server and probably poorly formed, because in this case you have to 5 slashes.
To locate a file on drive C, you must use
    file:///C:/documents and Settings / < user > /My Documents/WikiLeaks/HTMLfiles

If the links are hard coded as you wrote them so it can be a lot of work to make it work.

You can use a bookmarklet like this to fix the links in Firefox and save the page, if the links work:
    javascript:(function() }alert(j);})();
You must change the variables S and R the appropriate file path.
    In the regular expression, you need escape to a ' / ' as '-/ ' and a period (.) as [...]
