  I need help, 'VMware Enterprise Administration' exam preparation.  I tried to find the way that I have to follow for this certification (vSphere) but couldn't find anything clear enough.  If someone can point in the right direction?

  The version of vSphere review, the VCDX4 and other new vSphere certifications will be announced and available in the coming weeks. I know what certifications will be and when they are due to be available, but I can't divulge yet.

  I am the admin of my laptop and when I need to edit some files today in record programs it wouldn't let me. He said: "you are not allowed to save in this location contact the administrator for permission" but I am the admin, then when I check the permissions for me everything is checked. Yet it still doesn't let me add files or record anything

  also, each folder in C: local drive when I click Properties read only is selected and when I uncheck and press on apply he says he he applied but when I check again it is still selected. yesterday everything was fine and I was able to install, move, or change the files that I wanted to

  1. When you try to save files?
  2. are you unable to make changes to only the files in the C drive or the discs?

  Try these steps and see if it solves the problem:

  Step 1: Create a new user account and see if you can save files using this account.

• Location of the backup folder View Manager - greyed out

  VMWare View - 5.0.1

  Try to change the location of the backup folder (View/view/servers/Edit Connection Configuration servers.  When I click on the tab back up, the location of the folder is grayed.  It is currently backup fine in C:\ProgramData\VMWare\VDM\backups, so there is no problem of backup.  I can't just change the path to what it's backup.  Do I have to stop a service to change the path?

  You cannot change this location by the Administrator display. Here it is read-only.

  You can change the location directly through LDAP, but by changing the attribute EAP-LDAPBUFolder for each connection to the server. See http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1010285

• 6310 office all --one installs: Visual C++ run error

  Hi all:

  I just bought a new computer (Dell XPS 720), with Professional Windows 64 - Bit SP1, and I get an error when trying to install the OfficeJet 6310 All in one software (drivers and software for scanning, etc...).

  On the HP site, I found the OfficeJet 6310 all in one software, selected Windows 64-bit version and downloaded.

  When I try to install, I get:

  Runtime error!

  Program:

  C:\users\username\Appdata\local\Temp\7zS5C1E\Setup.exe

  This application has requested the execution in an unusual way.

  Things I've tried so far:

  1 remove all the Appdata\local\temp installation folder

  2. in the setup.exe from the installation in App\data\local\temp folder, right click on the exe files and select "Run as Administrator"

  3 made a full chkdsk on C:\ (control of start time). No errors where found.

  4 downloaded the tool HP Assistant, let it detect the 6310 printer (who does) and let it download the software... same error in installation.

  Am I missing an older Visual C++ library? Or .net Framework?

  2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Paths\HELPCTR. EXE
     
  3. If the key does not exist, right click and create the key: "" HELPCTR. "." "EXE" (without quotes)
     
  4. Make sure that the value is C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\HelpCtr.exe or create this value
     
  5. Restart the computer and try again

  I need to set up a number of books that I can maintain the regulated access. We only want books to be able to log on to a domain while being able to obtain reasons for AV, WSUS updates files, etc. of our "main" area So, how to restrict a user group, access to logon only in a field? Or how only have a domain listed to open a session to a group of computers?

  I also need to maintain a directory with spreadsheets to be read-only. How I keep them attached to the email, copied, etc.. ?

  We would work with Server 2003 Ent. and XP Pro w/SP3 and, of course, no matter who in the enterprise administrator group would still need full access.

  Do you recognize the files?
  If there are files that you saved in a specific program in the folder?

  It is usually more old programs will try to save files / settings to a location requiring the administration of rights which translates the writing files in the folder Windows virtualstore. A marker is also created so that if the program accesses this file again, it will point to the file in the virtualstore folder. If you use an older or not designed for Vista program and its economy at this place, try to update the program.

  According to the files, removing items from the folder may affect programs, but yes, you should remove them manually.

• Backups DPM Hyper-V fail until I have allot of space of the snapshot in PS6100XV

  I have a PS6100XV connected to my virtual host nine of 4 processor 64 Core.  Was super happy to live my VMs migration to this new server until I tried to save them.  I've lost hours trying to understand why the 2012 DPM could not make a backup.  I finally realized if I gave the volume of instant space in the end Equallogic backups work.  My question is this:

  What is the advantage of using the the Equallogic VSS?

  Can I disable VSS and have just DPM uses the one built into the operating system?

  What would you recommend for the most reliable solution?

  You can unsubscribe from the VSS EQL recorder.   Volume Shadow Service is asked to calm a disc, it uses the writer to determine who is the owner of this record.   find the EQL writer he will ask the Board to take a snap of HW.    You can unsubscribe from the writer to the CLI.   In my view, the command is located in the Administrator's guide.  If you are not decided by using snapshots, which would be the best option.

  It seems that your username is badly encoded. I guess "MyServer" is the field? The field is only necessary if using Active Directory, using without would the 401, assuming that you have no BOTTOM user with the name "bwsadminmyserver". If you need help with the code for this problem, so thank you post the snippet where you set up your GetEncodedUsernameRequest object.

• LaserJet 500 M551 color does not print double sided

  I have the strange situation of a having one of three Laserjet 500 printers that won't print two-sided, despite the same to the other settings both. I tried a factory reset, checked all the settings several times and it has not changed. Everything on it works fine, and I'm at something of a loss, so any help appreciated.

  Run a config page and compare the model number with the other printer config page. Configuration page is located under the administration menu and then reports.

  I ca't modify the host (C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc). It shows that "you don't have permission to save in this location.  Contact administrator. But I logged as administrator. I have no other account. What do I do now?

  This is due to a restriction of the UAC (User Account Control). Right click on notepad.exe, and then click "Run ad administrator." Now load the hosts file, edit it, then save it.

  Well Yes, if you have installed the 1st data value not to be the currency of the entity. FDMEE will load your file txt as newspapers in HFM.
