  Hi all

  I have somehow ended up with a virus adware that keeps hijacking Safari to play all kinds of crappy ads.

  I installed and run MalwareBytes that deleted a few files updated cache in Safari, but the problem persisted.

  So I installed another antivirus, Avast Mac Security, which also located and locked the other cached files in Safari but has not fixed the problem.

  I would also add that I have the announcement seems to be audio playing through each window in Safari and I had to close all windows to stop it (so I don't think it's my site causing issues).

  Would it help if you have disabled the screen lock?

  Settings > location & security > lock screen

  This is the setting that is engaging the unlock slider.

  You can always set your screen Timeout as you want, but now any key will restore the display.

  Was not a problem for me because I use a password to unlock my phone because of sensitive data, that I carry for the work.

  Just a thought.
