• difficulty getting edit page

  I'm testing Incontext with pages that are based on models of DW.  The basic model is simple and contains a banner one heading menu drop down menu bar build using DW and a single editable region.  I gave birth to a child of this model, adding a table that contains two columns, one containing an IFrame that is bound to a calendar and the other in which I added and a region of ICE.  I loaded the page and saved it in Incontext. I invited an editor to edit the page.  When I log in as Publisher, Incontext finds the page ask again the connection but then fails to generate an editable page.

  You have a number of scripts in your page and the behavior you're seeing looks like it might be a JavaScript conflict-related. You have the same problem if you try to delete/isolate other scripts running on the page?

• editing page redirection

  I have 4 pages that go on a single page to manage changes.
  My pages are confused how to return to the original page after the change is made.
  How can I get the edit page to return to the page, they click the edit after they hit save them button on the edit page?
  I think that's the way to approach it.

• How do to the size of the log buffer reduce with huge Pages Linux

  Data sheet:

  Database: Oracle Standard Edition 11.2.0.4

  OS: Oracle Linux 6.5

  Processor: AMD Opteron

  Sockets: 2

  Carrots / power outlet: 16

  MEM: 252 GB

  Current SGA: GB 122 automatic shared memory (EAMA) management

  Special configuration: Linux huge Pages for 190 GB of memory with the page size of 2 MB.

  Special configuration II: The use of the LUKS encryption to all drives.

  Question:

  1. How can I reduce the size of the log buffer? Currently, it appears that 208 MB. I tried to use log_buffer, and it does not change a thing. I checked the granule size is 256 MB with the current size of the SGA.

  Reason to reduce:

  With the largest size of log buffer the file parallel write newspaper and the synchronization log file is averaged over 45 ms most of the time because she has dumped a lot of stuff at the same time.

  You have 32 processors and 252 GB of memory, so 168 private discussions, so 45 MB as the public threads size is not excessive.  My example came from a machine running Oracle 32-bit (as indicated by the size of 64 KB of threads private relative to the size of 128 KB of your son) private with (I think) 4 GB of RAM and 2 CPUs - so a much smaller scale.

  Your instance was almost inactive in the meantime so I'd probably look outside the Oracle - but verification of the OS Stats may be informative (is something outside the Oracle using a lot of CPU) and I would like to ask you a few questions about encrypted filesystems (LUKS).  It is always possible that there is an accounting error - I remember a version of Oracle who report sometimes in milliseconds while claiming to centisecondes - so I'll try to find a way to validate the log file parallel write time.

  Check the forum for any stats activity all over again (there are many in your version)

  Check the histogram to wait for additional log file writes event (and journal of file synchronization - the lack of EPA top 5 looks odd given the appearance of the LFPW and and the number of transactions and redo generated.)

  Check the log file to track writer for reports of slow writes

  Try to create a controlled test that might show whether or not write reported time is to trust (if you can safely repeat the same operation with extended follow-up enabled for the author of newspaper which would be a very good test of 30 minutes).

  My first impression (which would of course be carefully check) is that the numbers should not be approved.

• Upgrade to version 42 and now the menu edit page info file is missing. I use it all the time and want to come back. Any suggestions?

  I've recently updated Firefox to version 42. On the old version, I could go tools-> Page Info and there would be a menu typical Edit at the top where you can select, copy, etc. On the new version this menu is absent and Ctrl C/Ctrl V do not work. Any suggestions on how to get that back?

  I often go to a web page that contains a spreadsheet, and I used to be able to pull down a menu which had several elements, which was something like 'Page-> edit with Excel'. Now it's gone and I don't know how or why or all articles that mention how to get it back.

  Edit with Excel has NEVER been a part of menu by default in Firefox - NEVER!

  If you want this feature, you will need to install an extension or a plugin to get this in Firefox menu item - if it is still available.

• Error in the generator of the ApEx 4 on Edit Page of the article: ORA-06502

  We took 4 ApEx (patch 4.0.1.00.03), and have a problem in a single application, where appears the error ORA-06502 character string buffer too small.) This error at bottom of the page this article Page. In addition, point editing the page "settings" section is left blank, so I can't change any settings. It also gives me wrong when creating new items, so I have to copy existing elements and change them from place. This worked until recently, when the mistake is now also displayed in the application itself, and not only in the constructor. This is a page with a tabular presentation and some elements of search filter. After having fill the filter and click on a search button, the error message and tables is not rendered. This happens from time to time, and the 'solution' is to disconnect and return to the application. I'm not 100% sure, but I guess that's the same problem as the error appearing in the report generator. It is certainly not caused by user data.

  While developing the application, we regularly put the generator of the ApEx between French and English. I read that it was a cause of ORA-06502, but that this problem has been resolved in version 4.0.1.00.03. Our problem may still be linked to the multilingual constructor?
  
  I ask this because we are running other applications in the same environment, ApEx, and they are all very good. So somehow this error in Report Designer is related to this particular application.

  (1) no longer this error occurs if you export your application and install it on apex.oracle.com which has 4.0.2?
  (2) do you use point type plug-ins in your application. In 4.0.1 there was a mistake in the generator if too many when installed in this application. Reduce the number of plug-ins type point or better to install 4.0.2.00.07

• Open a QT movie in an editable page (template)

  I use templates for my site.  I would like a movie link to open in a dependent page in the editable area of the page if possible.  Can't seem to get there.  The film opens in its own blank page.

• Impossible to edit pages that open in a new window

  A page that a user updates frequently has a number of links to other HTML pages that are the value _blank target.
  When these pages open in a new window of the main page that is already open in Contribute, the new pages window who ejecting seem to have left to Contribute and have no Contribute menu item, not including any of the editing tools, at the top of the pages, if the user can edit these pages.
  
  Is there a way to get around this? Can pages be forces to open in Contribute?
  

  You can not force the pages to open in Contribute, but you can leave the new window open, copy the URL address in the browser, then paste it into the address bar of contribute, and click OK.

  Hi Troy,

  In your top albums, the category names are all pretty short to go under the vertical bar for their category.

  In the graph on the low, second, third and last category names (more the color patch showing the bar colors for this category) are longer than the width of their columns. Shorten the names, and all should be well.

  You can also try to use a 3d instead of a 2D graph. I don't lke them much, because they distort the lengths of the columns to do the work of the 3D perspective, but they also tilt the x-axis, allowing some stacking of the category labels.

• My Firefox cannot be used. It's very very slow edit pages, load pages and so on.

  I have search and applied several suggestions found in Internet, but so far, no one solves the problem. Firefox uses a lot of memory (600,000) and lots of CPU (100%) and work very slow to load new pages or update pages loading.
  I use APP "Memory Fox" but is the same.

  Hello VictorTrindade, please, try to reset firefox and see if that can solve the problem...

  Please also make sure that firefox is not blocked by your security/firewall somehow software.
